Love the Chagall reference. Today I am sampling L’heure bleue for the first time in ages. I’m in my 40’s now and can appreciate it so much more than when I first sniffed it on a blotter in my 20’s. Totally agree with you that it is an acquired taste, and I’m so glad it’s still around for me to appreciate now.
I’m also so glad to hear that there are other people out there that love this perfume! I hope you enjoy wearing it, because it’s truly a masterpiece. I wish you all the best❤
L'Heure Bleue is so magically dreamy, ethereal and such a stunning and classic Guerlain. I love the EDP in the older style bottle & label, pre-reformulation to the newest version. Richer, smoother, reflective, unforgettable...💙
I'm so glad you love this perfume too! I'm sure that the older versions of the perfume smell much more well rounded -- it's often the case with fragrances. It would be so interesting to actually smell a perfume from 1912. I feel like it was a completely different scent!
I love L'heure bleue, but I am 63 😅. I bought the edp but I am soon going for the edt as well. I love also Shalimar, Angel (Mugler), Calandre (Paco Rabanne) and Poison (Dior) for a long time already, 30 years! I wear also lighter floral fragrances in sommertime. I've liked your review very much, thank you.
If I decide to purchase it again, I will ;) It is a very light perfume with virtually no staying power. After ~30 minutes it became a skin scent on me, and because of that "vintage" note I did not find it pleasant. However, if you enjoy powdery, anise-heavy vintage fragrances, you might enjoy it. Hope this helps!!
Thoughtful presentation. Enjoyed listening to your perspective. I find this perfume to be the most seductive, addictive-magical fragrance I've ever experienced. I believe it transcends time and is a masterpiece. I wear it anytime and anyplace💖
Beautiful review. I have not had the pleasure of trying this fragrance. It sounds very unique and mysterious. I believe Queen Elizabeth wore this on her wedding day to Prince Phillip and was one of her most favored fragrances. I agree it would not be wise to purchase as a blind buy. Thank you for your research as well.
Thank you, Anne! I apologize for not replying quickly, but I'm back now. Thank you for sharing this information about Queen Elizabeth, as I didn't know that she chose it as her wedding perfume! I also read that she loved "White Rose" by Floris, so I thought that if I like L'Heure Bleue, I might give Floris a try? Have you tried it?
@@lydialarina Hi again. No I am dying to try both but I never seem to find them easily in the department stores in Australia and I don't want to blind buy because of the price tag. I will keep my fingers crossed that one day I will finally get a sample. :)
I think that these early masterpieces by Guerlain are appropriate for both men and women. Try to procure a sample first, as it’s not a safe blind buy, but I don’t see a reason why a man can’t enjoy this scent. I read that Guerlain’s “Mitsuoko”, for instance, was worn by Diaghilev, although it’s advertised today as a woman’s scent.
@@lydialarina Thank you for the answer. I have Mitsouko edp current version with blue emblem and i like it. In Bulgaria I can't find sample of L'heure bleue. Maybe blind buy 🙂.

I was charmed by this girl and her pronunciation, then she says that she if from post-Soviet countries. That's it! Wonderful girl!

Thank you so much! I love all the perfumes you mentioned as well! Shalimar is indeed a classic❤
Can you make a video of the Apres I'londee? 💜

Same! None of these vintage perfumes are in the department stores either, so I’m hoping for a sample😊
I am a man. Can i wear it?
