i don’t watch podcasts, but i saw a clip of this on tiktok and i watched the whole thing. subscribed and liked the podcast as well, something about this conversation was just different
Welcome to “Take Your Shoes Off”!
God, it was like watching him harvest some crowd work for 2 hours, but there’s only 2 audience members 😂
Same
We’re exactly the same, not a podcast fan at all but i even saved the video in my awakening playlist. They’re something different here. They’re not just talking BS and non sense, he makes them and they make us really see the world differently, think differently. It feels so natural, authentic, not scripted, almost relaxing. I love the way they’re bonding and getting to know each other but at the same time its so weird cause they feel so comfy in their talk it feels like they know each other since forever without knowing each other (idk if it makes sense lmao but that’s how they make me feel
Adding to this, pulled here from shorts too.
Clips let you have the unedited and the hyper filtered pacing - have your cake and eat it Rick. Do the clips. Do it.
Watching Fuhad react to people who aren’t James is HILARIOUS
Facts lol
Rick would be taking it all less personally if he just understood Nigerian people/culture… stoic until truly moved by humour or anger, don’t act a fool for anyone’s comfort, and certainly don’t try to make a fool of me! 😂Don’t offer more information than what’s being asked. Intense internal discipline in situations you haven’t figured out yet.
@@stinedange9152when in the pod was he "taking it personally"

The black cat/golden retriever dynamic between these two is such a treat. I LOVE the way James can’t help but love so expressively, and how Fuhad’s reserved nature is won over by sincere character. It’s really sweet❤
That was really well put... unexpected for a youtube comment. Cheers!
What does that make rick? A crow?
This is the perfect description!

This is why I can't listen to this podcast on Spotify. It has to be a visual experience
THAT SHIT TOOK MY OUTTTTT
I want that shit on a shirt😭
Na, that fr took me out😂
Has to be the most awkward I’ve ever seen these guys. I wish i could hear the conversation they had when they left the studio. 😂😂😂

Rick taking Fuhad’s “say less” seriously 😂
*im not gonna*
This phrase hit me like, wtf? As in "be Quiet?" how rude! Now, learning it means,"no further explanation needed, I'm with you, I agree," I like it a lot.@@MaidenHelll
That "because you're black" @ 2:20 killed me instantly. Rewound and watched like 10 times. No one quicker than Rick
Early doors 🤣🤣 was class
Can someone be kind enough to explain that
@@andre-iz6fyof course! I think it was an ice-breaker/tension break with a slightly abrasive comment. So there wasn’t any deeper truth to grasp, fuhad just responded defensively which created the tension, and then Rick broke it with an ironic racial comment.
@@andre-iz6fyhe came up with the bit and the whole salt discussion was just a set up, the bit is funny cause it's ridiculous and very unexpected. he apologized for no real reason and stared at him to get him to react, then when he gets the reaction he's looking for he finishes the joke by claiming something that couldn't possibly be racial is racial.
Facts hilarious
Yk why I loved this? When James and Fuhad feature on a podcast, the questions and answers feel repetitive. For example when they always ask how they started, the funniest dilemma etc. the answers are the same each time and every one always leads with that. But with Rick this was so organic, deep and refreshing to watch because this felt like a new side to them, I learned things they’ve never talked about before. Amazing, loved it. ❤️
Yes, I agree totally.
This is worded perfectly.
Watching Rick throw a joke, and his proud reaction to James or Fuhad laughing is just amazing 😂
he trained them well with the keys and such...
@@lucidmemory4146Oof, give the guy a break. He doesn't have to train people to laugh at his jokes.. much?
Never seen this podcast before. I came here for James & Fuhad. 2 minutes in and i'm absolutely, positively now a new Rick Glassman fan. Subbed.
Same 😂

Aw glad to hear this!
Real, exact comment i left, Rick goated
Same same ❤
You can tell James and Fuhad are not used to their boundaries being pushed so hard by someone 😅😂 They seem out of their comfort zone under Ricks gaze at points👀😂
That's Rick's specialty
@@plamoretti673he just tries to be awkward and thinks it’s comedy

Fuhad is undeniably the most genuine person.
Because he doesn’t let himself find this funny?😂😂

These boys did A LOT of pods in America, and dude, this one was the best. Ive never seen your pod before Rick, and as a huge fan of the boys, this got me super super intrigued to watch more of you. Like others mentioned you actually made the conversation so personal and intimate whilst keeping it comical and not repeating the obvious questions to ask them. Pleas do their show ASAP and definitely have them come back on this show like you spoke about at the end.
I was definitely engaged and now I guess I need to watch more of this rick guy now
This felt like therapy for James & Fuhad. I loved every minute of it!
And like a Work shop for Rick
As a therapist, the "being uncomfortable" topic was amazing. I just love see people analyze their thoughts and behaviors.
As a psychology student, i liked it a lot as well!
Do you remember when in this pod they talked about that?

The call back with the sentence finishing by fuhad was beautiful. This whole podcast and watching a friendship form was beautiful. This episode is for the history books
Dude just got that point and paused to really appreciate that call back haha he warmed up fr fr
Time stamp?
Rick is such a charmer man. His guests who come on not knowing him at all end up just loving him.
'You keep saying say less, im not guna' 😂😂😂
This is so weird it’s like two completely separate parts of my life coming together 😂
Finishing his sentence made Rick's eyes light up 🥹

This is my favourite out of all the podcasts James and Fuhad have been invited on. This made me understand Fuhad a bit more and grow even fonder of him. They made me discover Rick and I love his personality. This podcast was just full of good vibes and felt really cosy.
I reeaaaally enjoyed watching this. The flow and pauses of conversation were so authentic. I appreciate you not cutting out the natural diversion of topics and the maybe awkward moments and forcing us to get over them as we would in our normal lives. As a Brit, I found the humour absolutely hilarious between everyone.🌻
Watching the journey of Rick having to win over Fuhad was hilarious and surprisingly emotional. Loved that genuine moment they shared at the end there. Turned me into an instant fan of all the three guys. I hope part 2 happens in the near future!
God, this was like watching Rick trying to harvest some crowd work for 2 hours, but there’s only 2 audience members 😂
The fact that this podcast is unedited cnversation is exactly the reason I watch it / listen to it! I love the pure unadulterated imperfection of human interaction, therein lies the perfection for me, by embracing the imperfection! Another great episode, Thank You Rick!

The gulping sounds are killing me 😂
The soft "agulp gulf gulp gulp" when someone drinks is the best addition to a podcast I've seen in a long time.
That first animation was epic 😂😂😂 I hope they enjoy it when they see it 😅

This is a session of genuine dudes allowing themselves to meet and understand each other on a mutual level of self confidence.
I don’t usually sit through almost two hour RUclips video but this one I did. I loved the silence and somewhat awkwardness. Being from UK I know of shitsngigs but I didn’t really know the host but he’s now one of my fav podcasters!

an unexpected collab that was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. the dynamic between rick & fuhad as they kept growing their relationship through being vulnerable and honest in their feelings was so wholesome to see happening. it’s okay not to click with people you don’t know from the start and to be on guard.
James and Fuhad being on here was so surprising and I loved it. We all witnessed a true friendship forming.
As someone who takes time to warm up to people, I relate to Fuhad so much on this podcast.
it warmed my heart when Ricky got emotional when Fuhad was trying to figure him out
so organic so genuine. what a wonderful conversation. nobody is putting out podcasts at this quality. thanks rick
I get highly edited, punchy episodes have a bigger audience and entertainment value but the ebb and flow of this episode was perfection. First time listener and will definitely come back for more. Well done!
James ability to unpack his uncomfortable experiences and being able to acknowledge the origin of it was super dope to listen to. Love ShxtsNGigs 👏🏽💯❤️
he gets so happy when he makes them laugh lmaoooo
This felt like a therapy session, it was weird but oddly fascinating to watch!!! Love that for them
yessss!!!
"Weird but oddly fascinating" - perfectly put
This popped up on my feed. Will say I've only known James and Fuhad through yt shorts and only mildly but never heard of you Rick. Like others are saying tho, I'm now a lifetime fan. This is authentic, this is conversation, this is a wildly engaging. I felt awkward at times and I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes at other. It's this sort of wholesome and vulnerable but also comedic and a real ebb and flow coupled with just the true vibe of being a human being that makes me realize there are people out there who just get it. And Rick I gotta say, you just get it. Thank you for this and thank you James and Fuhad.
Thank you. Welcome to TYSO!
I feel like I am watching James process his childhood trauma about his Mom 😂
I love when guests don't really know Rick before and then are fans by the end. Rick had great energy in this one!
I was already going to say how happy this episode was making me and then I got to the shout out for my TYSO shelf at 1:30:13! Thanks Rick! I love these eps that are just a good solid hang!

😂myduude, u got a valid point..👉and to note some wild creativ emoji's going on!@ 🔥🍻💯٪
Absolutely left field collaboration, bravo lads
This was so wholesome! I eat whatever Shits & Gigs serve up so it was natural to be drawn to this. I've now found a new podcast to indulge in and I'm grateful. The synergy between the lot of you was gorgeous. I've never seen this gas from Fuhad before, seeing his body language slowly open up as he got to understand Rick more was lush. 'Room temp or cold' by the way was the most hospitable thing... I didn't realise how long this was! Bloody hell, worth it 😮 💕
I’m a Londoner and watch James and Fuhads podcast so I was brought here. Loved Ricks interaction with them. American and British humour is so different 😅 Poor Fuhad looked so uneasy at parts it made me giggle
“I got this statue because I knew you two were coming over” is unreal😭😭🤣
I don’t usually ever listen or watch American podcasts but I watched this whole episode, and I love the style, the whole warming up, the cold open and the ending! Very beautiful and genuine!
It's just absolutely hilarious to me to see Rick meet Fuhads character 😂😂😂😂 51:00 if Fuhad doesn't feel like being silly he won't 😂 no matter whether he's warmed up or not ❤
The tension finally breaking at 1:25:21 is INSANE. Love all these silly guys.
Enjoying the weird chemistry ngl 😂 good energy on this one
This convo feels so laid back but captivating I love it
30 seconds in and the talk about ice has me cackling. James and Fuhad shared a glance -- I couldn't take it
I just need you guys to know, I had a severe tension migraine and haven't been able to relieve it no matter what I've done all day, then I saw this in my recommendations and now, mostly through the video, I realized my migraine is nearly gone ❤ So grateful and you made me laugh quite a lot. Laughter is definitely the best medicine
Your TT clip got me here and then started off with an epic cold open. You’re good at this.
The tea cup and uniform 😂💀
So for me this is the first time I've watch Rick, and this is the first podcast I've ever watched where the whole podcast in is a running gag. Most Podcast have specifically funny moments, or have a specific theme you can find entertainment in where a 10-15 minute blurb can be cut out and be funny. But what happens at 52:00 going in only works if you watch what happens in the first 10 minutes of the whole video. And the laugh I got was insane. Rick you have a talent and I would have assumed this isn't my type of comedy but I'm 100000% invested
Thank you. Welcome to TYSO!
Im a huge TYSO fan and my mrs loves the shxts and gigs boiz. Never imagined this crossover and it DELIVERED. Fantastic Ep 👊
I absolutely love the fact that the guys don’t know how to play with Rick, but they get his rhythm along the way. God it’s beautiful watching these conversations unfold
I've only seen the episode with bobby lee and this is such a different vibe. Like, you've only just met these guys and in hour you're opening being so vulnerable. It took me a while to get what was even happening. You are a fucking artist. I love this
Cult baby here and I lovvvvvved this. I love that you threw the boys off it's nice seeing them not take a lead. This reminded me of when women intentionally make men feel awkward on a first date to switch the power dynamic! 😂
something that is actually rare today is TRUE FRIENDSHIP! these 2 CLEARLY are great friends! so wonderful to see. great episode
When Fuhad did the call back @1:28:24 , that was the biggest tension relief! #SayLess
Then when Rick did the edit/call back to when James talked about how excited he gets when someone does a callback and it lands 🔥
Yeah definately, im glad he also asked THAT question 😂❤
This entire episode was great but that part specifically was 🤌🏽
I like the natural flow of this podcast! Feel like that’s part of it’s uniqueness.
I don't how to describe this, but this was PEACEFUL for me. Like watching a therapy session with three patients and three therapists. This was wholesome!!!
I did NOT expect this trio to merge so well, seeing the almost 2hr time is intriguing too, can't wait to watch! the rest!
this episode made me smile harder than any other one. "I have a couple of English friends."
These were two of the coolest guests I have ever seen on a pod.
ahh i love that, have you ever watched their person podcast?

Didn’t I just see these two on chunks and filly show? 😂 what a crossover of universes!
I know right wtf... 😂
What a serendipitous encounter. Love both of these podcasts and never would have thought they’d share the same space but I love it. All hilarious and genuine humans
MAN THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS SHOW & THE GENRE OF PODCASTING! amazing people having amazing conversations!
Stumbled on this podcast without knowing any of them. I love the dynamic Rick brings to the table. Idk how else to describe it but he’s my kinda people. Never seen someone with that particular vibe on screen.
Welcome to TYSO!
rick crying from having a millisecond jolt of realization about understanding someone's character (Fuhad being quiet not a jerk) hit me deep in my friggan spirit. It's probably what i want the most in my entire life is those little humble moments of realizing we're connected
"I used to get (confused for) Drake, probably not as much as you."
"(Drake) Co - Malfoy?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fucking awesome and underrated
I laughed so hard at that I had to pause and replay it.
😂😂😂
1:20 can we just deep how wholesome it is that James said “ oogy pops again” rather than saying “oogy pops” another time
Rick is clearly disarming in his charm because those two got so comfortable even though it wasn’t their structured content, this made me so happy to watch
The Glassman does it again, hand-delivered comedy pod gold! This was bizarrely bananas hilarious! Those guys were awesome guests!
This was suuuuch a genuine and authentic conversation, so many funnies and a lot of thoughtful conversation. A fan of both Fuhad/James and Rick and this was never a combination I’d ever think I’d see in my life but I’m ecstatic you did this for us!
so interesting listening to the discomfort talk, i have social anxiety and i avoid the feeling of uncomfortable-ness as much as possible and most of my day is that feeling so hearing rick talk about he he feels with being uncomfortable is very interesting.
The chemistry in the conversation here is amazing! I really like how people with such different personalities are able to bounce off each other like this.
OMG! My heart cannot take it! Thank you for this, Rick!
I have seen Rick in very small doses here and there these past few months but not much else than that. He seems fun but Im not really that big on podcast and this format. However, Shxtsngigs is the only podcast that I am currently watching since a few months back and I have watched a few of these guest spots in America now and this one was by far the best one, and most fun. From the beginning to the end. I loved the dynamic of Fuhad being very observant and trying to figure out Rick and vise versa, to the very deep and interesting conversations throughout the episode. I seldom watch 2 hours of podcasts straight through but I did tonight. Great episode by all three.
I feel nourished. Seeing you all bond, the ebbs and flows of conversation, the connection. I came here for James and Fuhad and left being a new fan of Rick. The natural ends/awkwardness actually made this pod really refreshing. I love that you reference clips and put them in. The call backs within the episode. Yeah I'm a fan.
this is such a masterful act of switching on and off Rick as a character and Rick as a person and comedian and going meta and then immediately back into a bit and then back to meta-analysis
Yoooooo this makes me so happy, shxts n gigs have become one of favorite watches . Always funny and always seem like the life of the party.
I’m like Fuhad. I haven’t seen this podcast before and it took me some timeeeeee to see if I could gel with Rick. By the end, I too warmed up. Wouldn’t say Hot like boiling, more like when the first bubble shows so you know boiling isn’t too far away lmaoooo
Definitely suggest the Bill Burr episode, it’s brilliant
One of my favorite things about this episode is how Rick is constantly taking a step back to analyze the art of conversation with them. When I watch podcasts, I try to take note of how the host navigates through conversation for so long and Rick was breaking it down the entire time. Well done 👏🏼
Been a follow of James and Fuhad for a while now and seeing the conversations you had with them was eye opening. I love your style and definitely will be becoming a regular watcher, as the way you think and explain things is so unique. Thank you for what you do 😊
clicked on this for shxtandgigs but damn definitely subscribing to rick now. interesting guy, very sharp and genuine.

One of my favourite episodes. Can't wait for the reunion.
Yo, I absolutely love this. I've rewatched this for the third time and I'm just encapsulated by everything about the conversation. We need more of this.
The collab I didn’t know I needed !
I’ve watched both your podcast individually but this had so many nuances and showcased the difference between the America and English culture at such minuscule level !
