A little info for this cover: In the ARTPOP Era(2013-14) Gaga did not realize a lot of the promises she announced like being the first singer to perform from Space, there was an App for iPhone called ARTPOP where u could listen to the album and create your own Aura and had an alter Ego called Petga it was promised that the App would be updated with music videos for the songs etc and it didn't happen, she had trouble with her manager and he left her, her label didn't want to continue promoting the album after the backlash for the Do What U Want video since there were a lot of news about the SA victims of R Kelly who Collab in the song and also accusations against the director of the video for the same reason, the public hated Gaga and the Industry turned it's back on her, a lot of people and haters already were saying SHE'S OVER, SHE'S A FLOP, ARTFLOP, and when it looked that could happen, Tony Bennett(A Legend in Jazz Music) literally SAVE HER, she wanted to quit music and even end her life, but he was there, he invited her to do a Duet album(Cheek to Cheek) and that friendship show her that she needed to be resilient and stood for herself and her vision, after the album released it went #1 and the critics were surprised of her vocals and how good she sounded singing Jazz something that felt so out of place being Lady Gaga, and after a legendary performance of a medley of the Sound of Music in the 2015 Oscars by Lady Gaga where she did a tribute to Julie Andrews the public and the Industry saw what she's capable of, not just being a extravagant pop singer but and Artist and as they say the rest is history
