- Tuning into this week's rock and roll soundwave to filter signal from noise, we cranked up the volume on the following ...
... 'Zuma Nester Rock' and the eternal curse of rock stars' kids' names.
... Bowie's spat with Robbie Williams at Netaid.
... celebrating awkward sods like Kevin Rowland.
... why Paul Carrack has seen it all.
... 'Lewis' Armstrong, 'Hoosker Doo' and others we've been pronouncing wrong.
... AI does David Hepworth and Mark Ellen!
... the Underground/Overground albums/singles divide of 1974: the Wombles and Paper Lace v Tubular Bells and Journey To The Centre of The Earth.
... Guy Chambers - a string quartet aged 11! - and other early achievers.
... the Stones' and Bowie's race to have a Guy Peeleart record cover and the 50th anniversary of Diamond Dogs.
... how the Dead & Co turned a stage show into a movie experience and bands - Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys? - who should play the Las Vegas Sphere.
... and "the wally with the brolly" and other fresh political PR catastrophes.

I'm sure Sunaks' haircut is one of those plastic ones that Devo used to wear
The English mispronounce just about every non-english name.
What about album titles? Is it Um-ma-gum-ma, Ooh-ma-goo-ma, or even Uh-mug-gah-ma??
My favourite mispronunciation quote (not sure whether it was Spike Milligan or Vivian Stanshall) described someone having "a game leg" (pronounced "limp")". It was only reading this that light dawned: "game" (often encountered in Biggles books) was the spelling of the spoken gammy (rhymes with jammy)
39:00 I thought they were referring to David Bowie's member there for a second!
When I was a teen in the 1980s, my mother pronounced Morrissey as “More-Rissy”.
She had him sussed.
Finally we have the correct pronunciation of Bowie.
Now we have to tackle Agnetha.
Looked for a clip. This was a good one...
Another Amazeballz moment! Dead and Company / Las Vegas / Sphere / 5/26/2024
The lead guitar Pete Townshend plays on "Armenia, City In The Sky" is played backwards.
