He asked me about Steinbjorn and I totally forgot about his AOE attack. So Steinbjorn DOES a attack that hits your dino AND your rider. Its a bit like a poison wyvern attack. So be carefull when you fight Steinbjorn! :) Awesome episode as always!

Hey Syntac, a little hint on surviving in Jotunheim: 1. (from a mod you already have) Eco's Viking Empire has those houses, right? First, they provide massive insulation when you're inside, you could go naked and still be comfortably warm. Second, you can place them down and pick them up like a tent :) 2. (from a mod I think you'd like) Eco's Primordial Saddles has Tundra Tribe saddles available for mammoth, wolf, managarmr and ice golem, that also give a great boost to insulation for the rider. I have only tried the wolf one yet, and it gave around 1k more insulation (I heard you need something like 1800 to be ok), allowing me to be comfortably warm while wearing primitive fur and a rather mediocre otter. The only problem is you have to be riding the creature. The moment you hop off you start freezing. (sorry for posting a bit late, but I only tried them both out today to see how they actually work :)

And the second group the Wyverns could be apart of could be the Monotremes, which in real-life are the Platypus and the Echidna. And in Ark, that group would be represented by the Maewing! I love how every time a ark youtuber talks about wyvern milk they also mention that the males produce a different kind, really brings the community together. That's right, the ark community is brought together by dragon coom.

you can get congealed gas from the sulfur fields on the volcano, just down from the red ob. Placing that in a forge makes gas balls. I cant remember where there were gas vents, though to be fair havent really looked with the sulfur fields available.

I know a guy named Steinbjörn... (Pronounced: Stayn-bjuhrdn, ö is a tricky sound if you're not raised with it) Also the rollrats dig up green gems in the cave if you stick around for it.
I feel like that bear boss should be immune to the freeze, or at the least only slowed. It is, after all, covered in snow itself...murder snow. Harvesting the sulfur nodes on the volcano island gets you condensed gas which crafts into gas balls. That's how I got mine. Eventually found some gas veins in one of the underwater Aberration caves, but by then did not need them.
IIRC Magmasaurs can prevent their riders from freezing when they heat up, so it might be worth getting one of those? Assuming they have nests on this map.

I've heard the itsy bitsy fight has pretty good fur loot. I found a few pieces in the ice caves. I found no fur from sky drops. Went over and tamed my 1st Fenrir. They are kind of a rare spawn, best I could find was lvl 95.
Hi ! I know this is old, but I found that having at least 3 very good ascendant fur armor (the 2 other pieces can be basic ones), you're protected from the cold of Jotunheim ^^
To get the dermises you want before you kill the bosses freeze them with the Fenrir, hop off of it grab your dermis and then hop back on and kill it. It seems their freeze may last long enough to do so.
Lightning wyverns have a trench in Asgard. A member of another tribe took me there to get a high level one (they were tameable on the server i was playing on) He called the teleport pad "Lightning hell"
Did anyone else notice he called the fabricated sniper a long neck when he shot the carno? 😆 he shot it like pew pew pew, I was wandering since when did long necks shoot that fast hahaha
Also a quick tip use troodon if you are every playing pvp they are helpful when stabilizing non mounted enemy’s or if you stun them with purlovias or something

Oh, Wildcard would absolutely gut this map. Really sucks, ARK is basically done now, the story maps are complete, I wish they'd have some fun and start adding crazy maps. I'm gonna say anyone who wanted to play ARK and get, say a Rock Drake, has already done so. I'm hoping when ARK 2 gets close to launch, they'll add a map with every creature, even if I know it won't happen.

Wildcard seems to let wyverns on any map. I wouldn't mind if a massive map was added that wasn't story related, but cost like the other DLCs, maybe half the normal price. I'm probably in the minority here, but I wouldn't mind paying for a map if it had every creature on it.

Though valguero does have rock golems tbh but at the same time I can see the consistancy of only scorched earth stuff appearing in other maps which I believe is due to the fact that they might be biased towards scorched earth.
Your health was about to kill you from freezing when you got some finishing splash damage from the bear. Saw you were about to run out of fire wyvern milk just before summoning the new world boss and KNEW you would be too busy to notice. Sorry that happened to you. 😂
When he did his breathe attack thing, you health dipped really fast. That little surge of 10 dmg? Seems to hit you on the back. Watch right before it kills you. You're at like 25% health and then you go to broken bones and dead in a few seconds.
I am not Sure if steinbjorn is bugged at the Moment but when i got in that have today i was attacked by him instantly without activating tue terminal. I was fighting against an invicible Steinbjorn.

If you level an otter and pump its attack, the otter can keep you warm by itself. Otters can get to insane insulation values.
Indeed they can but we have done that and its far too cold in this area for them to make any difference lol

If you get some regular wyverns, put them in the dino storage terminal and they can produce wyvern milk automatically.

Try getting a good scuba legging blueprint it’s much more effective than fur but the armor lacks;that probably won’t be a Problem though.

if you go to the little abb cave with an anky then you dont need the gas collectors. An anky gives you shards and condensed gas there.
I believe the mod author adjusted the level and the health pool on the world bosses. To give you a 100% chance of getting the armor.
