Hey Bro! Loving that Pit! Liked that you used lump. Gonna have to look them up to see why it is considered a reverse flow? I like insulated cabinet pits......they run super efficient! Nothing better than beef ribs......some good eating there. \m/
Glad you liked it! It’s considered a reverse flow because the the heat/smoke enters the cooking chamber at the top inside the walls. And the exhaust “entrance” is at the bottom of the cooking chamber. Maybe I’ll do a video on how they work. Way easier to understand when you see it lol.
I went to their website and from some of the pictures I could see a vent in the bottom back wall.....so I had a feeling that was the case. It's funny because a few years ago there was a pit maker named Heavy Metal Smokers. When I considered getting one.....they disappeared. And this was their design and concept. From reviews I read some people either loved or hated this design. Is this the same company renamed???? I personally like this idea of the exhaust drawing from the bottom.......makes sense to me! Metal On! \m/
The Judge is some good stuff
