Diane, it has only been possible with a fenced yard, which is only 6 feet high, but we think the deer don't try to jump it because it is heavily planted and they can't really see into the space very well. Thank you for your comments. GrannieAnnee
To make it personal was so wonderful! The high heels brought back a memory. We have home movies from the late 50's of dad putting plastic toy high heels with elastic straps on his first 3 girl's feet (me included) and us walking around (we ranged from like 3-6 y.o.) 😊
I absolutely love your garden! My grandmother was the person in my life who instilled in me the love for flowers. In her memory, I made a garden on one side of my house, trying to have all the flowers she had in her garden in our country of origin, Cuba. I loved her very much. Now I’m making sort of a cottage garden on another side of the house which faces south. It’s going to be a slow process because living in Miami, the summers are brutal, so they have to be perennials that can take serious heat. It’s going to be a challenge! God bless your garden ❤️

Beautiful and Inspirational ! Ever since I spent time in my Grandma Wilma's perennial garden as a small child, I have been a "wannabe" spectacular gardener/landscaper. Also, music and showing love to our children and grandchildren has always been a top priority. You have "put it all together" after countless hours of loving labors on your gardens. Do not doubt it - you are making a lasting impression on young hearts that they will carry inside the rest of their lives. Thank you for sharing this (made me cry).

I also remember my one grandma's garden, not the visual memory so much but mainly the aromas of her stored ripe seckel pears and rubbing her rose geranium leaves which gave off a fantastic rose fragrance. Oh, and hiding under a mystery bush that had white puffy balls of sponge-like "flowers."
thank you very much for giving the names of the plants, I have been looking to name a flower that is growing on my front gardens, and now I know, tickseed coreopsis, I was thinking Gailardia, when I walk visitors through I like to know the names, and have now decided to make little labels with my children for everything. Your grandson has such talent I enjoyed the music greatly, as well as your granddaughters voice, you have much to be proud of, surrounded by beauty, garden and family.

I was a little afraid the labeling would be distracting, but then I get disappointed when I can't figure out a plant's name, so in the names went. Maybe the next video will have one consistent font--it looks like I sampled every one on the computer!
I'm grateful for them since I can't recognize all the plants yet. My list of flowers is growing! You are right about the font, the same font the whole way through will help unify it and make it seamless. I hope you do more videos!

I love the cottontail visitor. I have 2 families in my garden. They can nibble whatever they wish. They are as wonderful as the plants. After all, i want a garden, not just a yard
