Dealer asked him what he wanted for the cards and was told that he had heard that the dealer was fair and reputable. The dealer made the offer and the cards were sold. Later the dealer finds that a couple of the cards were doctored and like the Brady a couple were fake in holder. Dealer was told that since the seller never asked for a price that he was not representing them at a particular grade or "authentic" and as such it was a civil matter. Dealer was also told that it would be hard to prove in court that those were the exact same cards and not switched later (chain of custody type crap). Was told it would have been better to sign a receipt with psa numbers written down as well as photos and an attestation as to authenticity and grade. Wow if only the guy would have said I want xxx dollars then it was a game changer. Thoughts?
Ya unlawfully blocking entry and exit could have been met with an extreme also. No person there would be legally required to stay there and stopping them from freely leaving would have caused an issue. So luckily everyone there complied even if not required to
