My son and I are headed to South Dakota next week on our vacation! I've never been to S.D. and the badlands is only something I've seen on television, or in a book.... I'm so excited to go, and spend time with my boy.... I worked nearly 70 hours a week for almost 6 months to be able to take this road trip.... I can't wait to see all these amazing sights, and I am so glad I get to share it with my boy... he's growing up so fast... I want to remember every thing!!
This is an amazing place to see regardless of weather conditions. Make sure to add The Notch Trail to your hiking list, it was the highlight of our visit to the Badlands. Do not forget to bring water, the temperatures can get very high. You'll be glad you did and will feel like you've connected with the Badlands much more than if you'd just taken pics and drove on! Have a wonderful trip!
