- My husband President of Torres Farm and Resort in Naic Cavite, decided to challenge his employees that he can water the whole resort for 1 whole day which 2 of his employees cant do.

You did very well. I would like to offer a suggestion that I think would be more efficient for watering your plants and grass. I noticed some people suggested installing a sprinkler system. That would be a good start but there is more than could be done. Look into the cost of building a water tank that would harvest rainwater. It could be tied into the plumbing for the sprinkler system by a cutoff valve. It would save money on the overall water bill. Possible build on a higher elevation on the resort which means the water from the tank could be gravity fed to the sprinkler system, allowing use of the water without electrical pumps. You could build an international attraction around it to disguise it. Possibly a building or a fence to keep it from being an eyesore. I used to work for a landscaping company and there are several techniques you can use to increase efficiency in the watering of the grounds. I now work as a construction superintendent. These are just suggestions that may or may not work for your situation. I wish you and your family the very best of luck. God bless.

They are gardeners they know how to water the plants well. watering from the roots not the leaves. Water left on the leaves will burn the plant when the sun dries it up. Just saying.but good job for taking up the challenge and to show to them as a boss you can do it so they can make an extra effort to do their job well.
Napansin ko na palipat lipat ang sprinkler ninyo, mano-mano, try ninyo ang water dripping technology, para naka centralize na pagdilig ninyo at a certain time so hindi na ninyo kailangan ng taong magdidilig araw-araw.

My own openion is according to work @motivation in order to organize everyday schedule @ hardworking employee..the manager have make plan meeting ..what is plan for 2 person team work ..At the end of the day ..its all done ..... Can see that the farm is taken care well because it looks so greenery and very clean. It's a lot of hard work to maintain especially summer. I think need of irrigation or other ways na mapadali kasi sa sobrang lawak if doing it everyday.

You should have a head sprinkler for your hose with different types of holes and have automatic sprinklers in every area so you won't move them around. It would save a lot of time and energy.
Try it 2 weeks to see if your resort will be good and the grass and plants still in good condesation?
Why not install permanent sprinklers less work and set in certain time in watering the whole resort.
Yes , julli is right , you need a permanent sprinkler system. A good water sprinkler can water large areas faster with GPS controlled corner swing arm.

Iba kasi pag owner o may malasakit at mahal ang trabaho sir..lalo ng maggan ang kamay sa mga halaman..my maliit akonh landscape aa likod bahay nmin..ngyon grabee ang init talagang lusog-busog mga halamancat bermuda ko as in solve na solve sa tubig..poso o bomba gamit ko sa nagpalagay talaga ako sa likod para malapit lang bukod sa exercise na tipid pa sa nawasa.tama ka dyan sir...minsan kaya kung kaya talaga at napakasimpleng tranaho..asan kapa hose gamit buti sana kung bomba talaagng di kkyain isang araw🙄☺️

...Sir President from 6:30am to 6pm po kyong nagdidilig..too long hrs.po sir....d po b 8 hrs lng ang working day...correct po Sir kayang diligan in a DAY pero need lng po cguro ng extra time.. kc po inabot po kyo ng 12 hrs...😔😴✌

I don’t know if blowers are sold there... this is what gardeners use to blow dried leaves here in the US... that big a place you need this blower which is run by gasoline..
If the water pressure in the resort is good, why not install automatic irrigation sprinklers ? You definitely incur expenses in initial investment but in the long run you'll save a lot for labor expenses. You'll have well developed landscape because plants will receive enough water at certain soil depth. At a certain place of the line, you can attached a partitioner to mix soluble fertilizer with the irrigation water to supply nutrients to growing plants.
The place is huge, you need to install timed sprinkler system. Watering at two pm in the afternoon will only evaporate water. Water early morning or late afternoon. I also noticed you place your sprinklers over concrete sidewalks, wasting the water. Where is that resort located anyway, it is beautiful.

Sir hindi maganda mag dilig ang sprinklers, dahil hidi lahat ay nababasa niya ng tubig. Iba pa rin pag sinentro mo yung water hose mo sa mismong Bermuda Grass siguradong mababasa lahat ng Bermuda Grass ng Resort niyo.
Wow grabe ang lawak at ganda ng resort..need ng trim ung ibang halaman at bermuda sir..yan pa nman hilig ko..ung landscaping ayos dito..ayos doon...pwde na 18k a month stay in basta ung work all abt garden lang..💪🥰 joke lang sir🤞
If talagang isa puso nila ang wrk nila kaya yan pati pag walis ng mga dry na dahon at pag alis ng mga damo.sa araw araw dalawang tao they can keep it clean and beautiful garden.time management lang ang kailangan.
Sa lake ng didiligan pwedeng recycled water ang ipandilig......why not instalhll those Timed sprinklers and open it at night So the lawns are not wet during the day....when you water during the day and it is hot water evaporate fast were as at night the water is absorbed by the plants much more.....that is how gardens are watered here in America....

Iba ang move mo kase your owner ka pinilit mong diligan to proof yourself.minadali mo but for professional gardener may kasama pang linis linis iyan ant awit awit lalo n kung mainit mawawalan ka ng tao nyan ,If i am the owner i teach them kung may maganda kang tips to make it fast dont judge your staff because were not all the same power
We are just talking about watering plants (no cutting or walis) he did it in 1 day (eventhough not enough) he has 2 employees who only did (just watering) half of the resort, so there is a meaning. He just want to prove that they can improve if they have a system 😁 cheers

Hai...nkakapagod yan kuya gawa mo, dahil dito sa USA meron akong 5acres lupa. May vegetable at flower garden ako. Buong maghapon hindi ko kinaya yung palipat sa sprinkler at ang init na pag mag 11 till 3. At pag nag dilig ako yung basa talaga. Kaya nag pinalagyan ng asawa ko ng Sprinkler system at may timer. Kaya marami akong ngawa na gawain sa garden ko, dahil sa help ng sprinkler system no more bilad sa araw at na enjoy ko ang garden. Kaya pagawa kana. Magasto Pero at the end of the day iwas stress at makaka save ka ng pera at oras.
Dapat 3 minutes ang dilig para tumagos hangang lupa. Binasa mo lang yata ang mga dahon. Let the sprikler system run for 3 minutes each area. Tingnan mo ang lupa ng diniligan mong halaman kung nabasa ba?

But is wayering the only job of your gardeners....sa lake ng resort i don’t think 1 gardener can do the up keep of the park...do they not trim ..blow the dried leaves or they do the sweeping of dried leaves mano mano?

Ang worker kasi may tendency na ma bored sa trabaho pag pabalik-balik na lang ang ginagawa. Dapat rotational ang work at alternate

I wonder why they say they can't? The employees should also have the same conditions where they irrigate the resort just like Eric did. His run is the control sample proving that it can be done and they'd be given the same set of conditions that Eric had for them to accomplish irrigating the resort in one day.
Use drip system that automatically water the plants. There are also water flow timer available at Home Depot. Drip system are available at Home Depot, also.

i strongly dis-agree with you, kung pagdidilig lang maghapon ang trabaho kaya di yan ng isang tao, dapat kumuha ka ng iba para magtrim, magwalis, mag-organize ng mga halaman etc. kaya pala medyo hindi maganda ang lawn mo, masyado mo tinitipid sobrang tinitipid.
He is just talking about watering the plants, our resort is close so he just need a little maintenance. Once we are open, our full staff will start working

As big as your place mentioned therein. You can install an automatic sprinkler system, set the timers and sprinkle the areas needed without much effort, of course it will cost money, but in the long run saves you money on labor, and maybe assign the task to your staff to do other chores.

bumili ka pa ng springker mas mabibilis ang pagdilig ng halaman at grasses. kapag ikaw lang ang magdilig obos ang oras mo. sa bahay ko sa US may timer ako para diligan ang grass ko at halaman ko 2x a day
You should have a blower so it is easier to clean the gardens....such big area you really need to install sprinklers...

Hi Eric,I saw your blog challenge I knew then and immediately that it can be done with one person. You worked and trained in America so you brought your work ethics of work smarter not harder, and the result is efficiency. Your can train your people with the same work ethics you have with the mentality of no job is too big or it’s piece of cake. I have one suggestion you can buy a leaf blower at Home Depot that would keep your ground free of leaves with little effort. Good luck in the Philippines. I’ve also retired in the Philippines at least 8 of ten months there and I love it

Kung yan lang din lang ang gamit nila 2 sprinklers at isang hose pang manual at baka iba ang system nila sa pagdidilig ng sayo boss.. Baka kulangin talaga isang utso oras na trabaho..baka sa wide area ng damohan makailang lipat yung sprinklers plus yung duration ng pagdidilig ng sprinkler sa damohan na part medyo mas matagal kesa nung sayo.. Para patas nmn sa kanila kumpara mo sestema nila sa sestema mo para mas lalo mong mapagtanto..

THE PROPERTY IS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAIN THERE'S A LOT LEAVES AND THE GRASS IS NOT WELL MANICURED FOR A RESORT. THE RESORT SHOULD HAVE AN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM TO AVOID SO YOU DON'T NEED A PERSON TO DO THE WATERING. THEN YOU DO IT YOURSELF THE WATERING YOU ARE MICRO MANAGING YOUR PEOPLE.
Our resort is temporarily close so we have only few people who maintain our surroundings 😊

Eric nakapagpagawa kayo ng resort pero basic sprinkler lang di nyu nagawang bumili.at hapyaw lang yung pag didilig mo.to make it credible you should have checked the soil if it's really saturated .just my plain estimate baka wala pang one inch ang naabot nang tubig sa ginawa mo pagdilig .
Kailangan gawin eto ng matagalan para makita ang effect ng pagdidilig...kung minsan ung lupa baka mabato o matigas .

It seems you are rushing things a bit just to prove the employees wrong. To keep the gardens green, they need more watering than that. Darling Denez also mentions that trimming, cutting, lowing, cleaning the area takes time.
Even if hes rushing work hes working for equivalent of two persons.so if two are working there shoulbe no rush to finish it.but they arent finishing the days work..
Kaya ng isa tao kung didiligan lang ang halaman like what you did . But the job of the gardeners are not just watering the plants they do other task too ,so its unfair to say na kaya lang ng isang tao !!I'm sure as a gardener part of what they do everyday is to be responsible of monitoring the health of the plants and greenscapes,feeding the plant ,trimming tress and shrubs,fertilising and mowing lawns,weeding the gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litters.

Just wondering if your resort is marketed actively for wedding celebrations. You have a very good place for weddings while this quarantine is ongoing. hindi naman siguro bawal kasi pwede ninyong i-check ang temp ng bawat customers and asked them about their health before entering your resort...kahit konting runny nose or ubo bawal pumasok kasi pag may nagkasakit na bisita sigurado the government will come after you..the Metro Manila area and close provinces are very good areas to market because of its proximity to your resort. Mas mura pa siguro sa inyo kesa mga 5 star hotels and yet you can offer so many activities for your customers. Good luck and sana mag-open na para naman sa inyo and your employees....my 2 cent opinion. By the way I have failed in my business and lost much dollar but I learned so many things from my failure...LOL, just in case may mag-sabi na nagmamarunong ako
