Nice job a couple of nice first loads. What the name of the place were you ordered all your booms tarps and straps. And I live in Okc and you my not be at liberty to give the information but I gotta ask what company did you lease on with? I’m trying to get back into hot shoting and need a non cdl company to lease on with. Thanks for the videos love the hole set up good job.
Where do you learn how to properly tarp and use straps if you have no flatbed experience? It seems like you can damage some loads by just strapping down.
Im in Ga. I have a 2012 ram dually diesel and have been super interested in getting into hotshoting but and the legal work (dot, mc, cdl . . . Etc.) Scares me. Any tips or suggestions onto how to get started?
I heard you say you had 2 children in your other vid. Do you have a sitter or something? I would do this but i have a 4yr old thats in school so how could i make that work?
I am just speculating. from what I've seen so far he bought a 2500 Ford because he wanted a GVWR of only 10,000 pounds if he has a trailer that weighs 8000 that gives him a load capacity of 10,000 pounds and he still stays under 26000.. my guess is he does not yet have his CDL but has talked about getting a sleeper cab and then he will need a CDL at that point. Not sure what state he is in so I don't know the rules on a 10000 pound trailer. In my state of California you need a CDL if your trailer is over 10000 pounds. good videos so far and he is giving us a lot of information such as as MPG and cost of a truck.
I drive a HOTSHOT 3500 Dodge 40 foot trailer so I have a Class A Being under 26001 gross you don't have to run company name, MC etc on doors? Do you run elog? How about stopping at weigh stations?

Hey I'm a truck driver , after you finish a load and you're waiting on your next one , go to a truck stop instead of a regular parking lot so you dont get kicked out ...
Brother, you seems to be a nice guy done some hot shot trucking research but there are a lot of things, I would have done different when it comes to the equipment to maximize my load hauling capacity. But as time goes by, you will be learning what works best for you when it comes to maximizing your loading capacity, maximizing your loading opportunities and maximizing on the money. You also will learn what areas of the USA to be in with a truck to maximize money wise. You also will learn what are the best hotshot companies to be lease to to maximize in your money making abilitie. And finally, after you gain enough experience, you will be getting your own authority (company name, D. O. T numbers, mc numbers, ifta fuel certificate, ifta stickers, insurance, registration and weigh plates ), managing loading boards, calling on the phone brokers to negotiate load prices, sending carriers packs to brokers (mc, dot, numbers, company name, and insurance ), getting load sheet confirmations, signing and faxing them to brokers, to get a final load sheet confirmation signed and confirmed by brokers to pick up loads with Bill of ladings to deliver loads with a signed clear and clean bill of ladings (written on the bill of lady besides the shipper 'S signature should be, this is a clear and clean bill of lading, there was not damages to the shipped merchandise, nor there was anything missing to the shipped merchandise with also written on the bill of lading S. L. C and R. UL. C). Now this BL has become a cashiers check and your paycheck for a factory financial company in exchange for 3 to 5 percent of the load pricing , your freight hauling paycheck can and will be deposited into your banking account within 24 hours. However can't and will not survive in this business of hauling freight with your own authority unless you have access to a brokers credit rating database to check the brokers credit rating. Brokers credit rating is everything in this business of hauling freight with your own authority. Also, can't and will not survive unless you figure out the cost per mile for moving your equipment empty and loaded. However most hotshot trucks cost an average of 1$ per mile with your own authority. So, you need to charge from $1.80 per mile to $3.00 a mile (depending where the load is going ), $3.00 if you are going to an area where you have to deadhead 400 to 600 miles to get reloaded.
