I JUST took delivery 20 mins ago of 3 of these. So happy to see this feedback as we also considered the same LG. Actually I bought them but cancelled on the advice of the sales person at BB. I had to purchase 8 TV’s as door prizes for a work event, so thankfully the sales rep worked out a special discount for me - I only paid 925 each!! Can’t wait to hook them up.
Now THAT is some value right there. What a great deal! Nice one. You'll have to let me know if they are worse than / as good as / better than you thought they would be after watching my video lol!
I have a Samsung and LG at home, and we like the LG remote infinitely more. It functions like a wiimote pointer, which makes typing searches and clicking on icons a breeze compared to our Samsung’s traditional arrow system. The voice recognition on the LG is pretty good too! For anyone not using a streaming box (like the Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, etc.), it’s worth factoring in the TV’s remote and OS.
@@TheSAHDLife I think the LG is better, but it's an OLED while the Samsung's LED, and both are a few years old. So, not really a fair fight. We were trying to save cash on the Samsung as a second TV.

Absolutely! We're using that TV right now, gaming on it and it's awesome. I did have to get a HDMI splitter but besides that the TV has been fantastic!
Thanks for this sober review. I'm about to buy a new tv. I checked hundred review, and I thought I might go for an OLED or at least a high class neo Qled tv. But when I checked my 5yrs old Samsung UE series tv at home, I came to the same point: it has inky blacks, enough brightness and nice colors. So I could buy a 120Hz 55" LG OLED or a 75" LED tv. And as I'm not a big gamer, love movies but not going mad if there's some color mismatch I think I will biy the 75" Crystal UHD as well.
Thanks for watching! I am still happy with the quality of this tv. The one thing I do miss is more HDMI ports. One thing I didn't realize was that I would eventually buy a Sonos soundbar (which I did) and that it requires an HDMI port... this only leaves me with one. Otherwise for the price it's just hard to come close. Nothing like a MONSTER tv to absorb content on! And these LEDs like you mentioned are pretty dam good nowadays.

I grew up in the 70s and 80s and we thought the big cabinet TV's were simply amazing. But now the way people in the west complain and nit-pick about every little detail just shows how overly spoiled and stimulated people have become. This is obvious with just about everything. The cameras on cell phones are actually quite good but people are never satisfied. The point and shoot cameras they had in the 80s were terrible compared to most high end cellphones. @The SAHD Life ya I'm loving the new tv. Got it just after Christmas. It's blows my mind, especially coming from an old 55 inch panasonic plasma. The tech out there is crazy
I know right? We have a few TV's in the house, and we use our Nvidia Shield's a lot because they have a bit more horsepower than the TV's built in apps which makes for smoother browsing. We use the Netflix and RUclips apps quite a bit on one TV though, it's pretty convenient I have to say... cheaper than another Shield! But yeah if you can rock a computer on there instead, even better!!
Good ol' Visions eh? It's kind of the best/worst Electronics store around haha. But that's a sick deal, nice score!! Sure is nice sitting back and enjoying content on a monster screen :) Cheers 👊🍻

@@TheSAHDLife I appreciate it brother it’s just difficult for me atm I bought this Samsung tv the 58 inch one and it says motion rate 120 which should allow me to run the 120 because I’ve seen videos on RUclips of it working for the Xbox but haven’t seen one for the ps5 and I tried every setting but it’s not letting me just tricks me out bc in the living room there’s a 70 inch UPUP LG I believe it’s what the tv is called and it lets me run 120 on call of duty fortnite and so on and so forth but it’s not giving me the option to do so on the Samsung
@@SARPJLC Ya that's interesting. Wish I could help you... and I hope you find a solution. Funny because my TV doesn't seem to have a game mode which it says it should on the sales page.. hmmmm. Did you have to do anything to enable the motion rate 120?
@@TheSAHDLife I went for this model since brightness and Viewing angles were better than the TU7000 model plus the BF deal.Brightness and viewing angles look great. Sound is a little low but works well in Fire TV so that is a settings thing I need to play with. With 60 HZ, Fast motion sports will not be like OLED but Colors look awesome on this TV
You know, I'm not a HUGE TV expert guy, but they look pretty similar in terms of specs. The 7 Series seems slightly better for dark room movie watching whereas this one seems a little brighter in daytime. Both have similar refresh rates both only have 2 hdmi slots... I would say whichever you can get the better deal on is the one you should probably get. Still happy with it!!
Haha thanks! I'm on a kick right now talking about some other topics but I will ALWAYS come back to tech vids when I get some cool stuff. And that's a tough call. A 75" is a very different experience, it feels a lot bigger in my opinion... so it really depends on the size of the room to be honest. These 75" screens, even the cheap ones look pretty DANG good though. I think you would be happy either way. Do I wish it was QLED when I'm watching a movie or playing games? Not really. These new LED's get surprisingly dark (this Samsung anyway). Do I wish it was OLED when watching a movie? ....yeah :) Hope that helps! And welcome aboard 👊
It depends on the size of the room to be honest and how far away from the screen you will be. Bigger is ALWAYS nice. And to be honest, my friend has the 75" qled and it doesn't look much better than mine at first glance. As long as the bigger screen has all the features you want I would probably say go with that. Either way that's an excited buy. Let me know what you decide!
@@ashishvishwas9952 75" would feel huge for sure. I think it might be awesome in there but it depends on your couch setup etc.. tough call my friend! I think it will be great either way but the 75" might just be more of an intense experience which could be fun.
@@TheSAHDLife The thing is i would be fitting the tv in my bedroom and not in a speacial movie room so considering my room is only twice the size of 75 inch it might look odd but i can compromise if my watching experience is improved significantly . I will tell you my choices i have the frame 2022 qled 65 inch and the Samsung BU8000 75 inch led tv as my choices . The 75 inch one is 300 usd more than the frame . I would be mostly watching netflix , prime , youtube and also do PS5 gaming . The frame has better colours , 120hz , better gaming support , 2 more hdmi ports and better contrast But the other is bigger . What would you choose if you had the same choices and scenario . Would appreciate your help .
Those extra features are really nice... It's a really tough decision. I just really love having the extra size, but to be honest because mine is in a big room it's really hard to imagine what it would be like in a smaller space. In one room we have a 55 in TV which is a bit smaller than your room and it's totally fine size. But in our bedroom we have a 55 inch and it's pretty far away and it's tiny... My brain only really works when I'm in the room. it's hard for me to visualize what those two screens would look like in your exact space. I have a feeling it could be too big... The frame would look really slick on the wall. I don't know much about the frame to be honest but the extra contrast is always nice. No deals on OLED? Lol
Thanks my friend! I listed it in the video description but the one I ended up getting was the Samsung tu690t. More specifically the Samsung UN75TU690TFXZC (Similar comparison to the LG 75UP7300PUC). I didn't really want to list the model in the video because I just wanted to talk about cheap 75" TV's in general as I think the lower tier ones are very similar but to my surprise they all seem really good! You going to pull the trigger on one?!
I’ve had nothing but Samsung and I want an lg 86 inch tv because I went from a 24 (unknown brand) inch tv to 51 (Sony) to 55 (Samsung) to 65 (TCL) I went through a lot of hand me downs (the 65 was for Christmas on a major budget $-200) I don’t wanna have my parents spend grands on me (lg because I’m a ps5 gamer and really want all the best gaming features) also my brother doesn’t want me to get a giant tv because my room is a bit smaller I told him not only will it fit I could wall mount (which I’ve never done) I fit a 71 inch tv stand in from a 60 inch one
You know, the size of a room really matters and how close you sit to it. For example, we have a 55" tv in our bedroom and it is so far away it looks tiny. But in our office we have a 55" lg and it looks massive because the couch is so close to it. I wouldn't go huge just for the sake of going huge depending on your space. But with that being said, a 86" tv would be insane!! Like you said though, the gaming features are important... OLED might be the best for you? Oh boy, a giant OLED would be SO expensive!
@@TheSAHDLife the cost is absolutely insane but it’s not giant for the sake of giant but I like the tv I have but I wear glasses and my vision even with them it looks blurry from 7 feet away I might just be unfocused and again as gamers we want the best (I’m borderline blind without my glasses like things an inch or 2 from my face is how I see clearly)
I think I'm going with the 75in TCL S555 roku. Waiting till the SuperBowl sale at best buy. It's $799 now hoping they shave off $100 or more.... I currently have a 50 inch Vizio E series.. yeah I've had it for 7 years
You know, my take away from creating this video was that 75" TV's in 2022/2023 are just awesome. That sounds like a sick TV and I think it will be a huge upgrade. Super excited for you!
@@TheSAHDLife speaking for the R646, which should be below or just at $1K CAD, it has 120hz variable refresh rate, QLED that makes for inky, almost OLED level blacks, superior peak brightness in both SDR and HDR, better reflection handling, 4x HDMI ports including 2x 2.1 HDMI and one with e-Arc, and surprisingly a headphone jack and above average speakers.
@@Calwinn do you think you can get all that in a 75" tv? I mean that all sounds incredible but when I looked, even the 65" ones of that model are $1299
When we bought that cheap 55" RCA 4K TV, you could really tell they skimped on everything just to get a 4k panel in. But with this Samsung, nothing feels bad... like the sound, the remote, the build quality... it's all good! Maybe it's not great but for the price good is more than enough. Still very happy with it!
I'm sitting about 12' away. We are in a very large room where the kitchen is behind so there are times when I'm watching from 25' away. It definitely doesn't feel too big. I think I could sit at least 1-2' closer and it wouldn't feel oversized. What sizes are you considering?
Never would I have thought I'd be in giant screen territory.... Thanks Black Friday sales!! I'm still happy with this screen months later. I mean I had to buy an hdmi expander, but other than that...for the price.
Yeah exactly... it'll be awhile until we get there. I'm still really happy with the TV for the price! We game on it everyday (Series X) and looks great.
Movies look great! Very happy with the quality still. As far as sports, to be honest I don't have a good feed for them... I've streamed hockey at 1080p from Sportsnet app and it looked decent... But I would like to see a real 4k feed from a TV box before I'd have an actual opinion or recommendation on it.
It is really good right? Are the speakers better than you expected? I don't use them but still, I'm almost doubting if I even need my receiver in this room. I too disable the smart features but overall for the price I have no regrets.
This is probably the most friendly review I've ever seen for electronics 😃 Thanks! This helped me make my choice

Haha man that is hilarious (and kinda rad!). So funny when paths align like that eh?
Have you been happy with your TV, as well as the Xbox? I looking forward to chatting more in the future. We just got through a grueling move but are settling in and I can't wait to get making videos again. I have some cool stuff to review!
@The SAHD Life ya I'm loving the new tv. Got it just after Christmas. It's blows my mind, especially coming from an old 55 inch panasonic plasma. The tech out there is crazy
got a smart tv and never use the apps. i did when i first got it but its so much easier and smoother to just use a computer
Purchased a Hisense 75 inch $888.00 tax included from Visions, replacement for a Sony 65 inch $1699.00+taxes. Couldn’t be happier. Cheers 🍻 eh 🇨🇦😎
Good ol' Visions eh? It's kind of the best/worst Electronics store around haha. But that's a sick deal, nice score!! Sure is nice sitting back and enjoying content on a monster screen :) Cheers 👊🍻
@@TheSAHDLife yes I only use it as a monitor, don’t care about the speakers in it. My home theatre system is a 13.6 Klipsch Dolby Atmos system powered by Yamaha and Outlaw. Cheers 🍻🇨🇦
@@stephennielsen2134 You use it as a MONITOR?! Is the refresh rate fast enough??
Well then what TV do you have hooked up to your theatre system!? lol
@@TheSAHDLife This is my main screen in my home theatre room. And whatever I am watching looks great. But I don’t play games on it. Just not that interested in that stuff anymore. Cheers 🍻
It's really great for family time!
Yes and even better for when the kids go to sleep time! haha ...just kidding my kids don't sleep.
Great Review...^5
Thanks, I really appreciate it. Still loving the TV although I wish it had just 1 more hdmi slot!
The Xbox can run some games on 120 any idea if the ps5 does as well? Great review by the way keep up the great work 🙏🏼
Thanks for the support, really appreciate it! And Oh yeah the PS5 can! Either next gen console is just awesome and will make any TV dance.
Here's a list I found in case you're curious: www.pushsquare.com/guides/all-ps5-games-running-at-120fps
Got this...looks like a great value!!
Oh exciting! You'll have to let me know what you think about it... for the price I am still loving it.
Do you think the class 7 series it’s the same or better than this one?
You know, I'm not a HUGE TV expert guy, but they look pretty similar in terms of specs. The 7 Series seems slightly better for dark room movie watching whereas this one seems a little brighter in daytime. Both have similar refresh rates both only have 2 hdmi slots... I would say whichever you can get the better deal on is the one you should probably get. Still happy with it!!
@@TheSAHDLife awesome, thanks for answer! I will take advantage of the Super Bowl sales!!
@@michlang259 Good luck my friend! How fun👊👊
Think I just found my new tech guy for YT. Quick question though, would u prefer a 65inch QLED or 75inch LED for same price
Do I wish it was OLED when watching a movie? ....yeah :)
Hope that helps! And welcome aboard 👊
What model number is this? That’s usually the first piece of info.
It's in the description! It's the: UN75TU690TFXZC
Great vibes!
Thanks man!
Just bought this tv as well and super excited!
Have you got it set up? You'll have to let me know what you think... also, let me know if the TV speakers are better than you expected lol
@@TheSAHDLife Should be arriving today, will keep you updated! Did you customize settings such as brightness etc?
@@TheSAHDLife Just fully set it up! Speakers are great and definitely better than expected. Solid purchase overall and my folks are happy with it lol
Should i get a 75 inch led tv or a 65 inch qled tv . The price is same for both .
@@TheSAHDLife the size of room is 12×12 feet . Do you think 75 inch would look good .
Lol
Nice video mate but you didn't mention the model number of the TV
This was a great review.. thanks 👍
Thanks for saying! I appreciate it 👊
At the end of the day If you want the hertz you get a monitor.
For sure right? I'm still happy with this screen though I had to get an HDMI switch.
I bough that tcl this year and i hated the colors on it and every youtube commercial looked grainey. I returned it. Look into the tcl 6 series or lg.
The Samsung he’s reviewing is not $650 at BB
How much do you see it for?

@@TheSAHDLife $649 usd
Should have bought a budget TCL 5 series or 6 series
Ya? How come?
I wanted to try a TCL but they were hundreds of dollars more.
I mean that all sounds incredible but when I looked, even the 65" ones of that model are $1299
I just bought a tcl qled 75 inch 4k tv from amazon for £730 june 24.. a bargain with a picture to match
Nice! Everyone I know that has a TCL TV says it's great. Great deal!
I like you, your channel.😂
Aw thanks, you made my day! 👊
Probably at the 75 inch size it looks better than a smaller size of the same brand.
View distance please?
I'm sitting about 12' away. We are in a very large room where the kitchen is behind so there are times when I'm watching from 25' away. It definitely doesn't feel too big. I think I could sit at least 1-2' closer and it wouldn't feel oversized.
What sizes are you considering?
@@TheSAHDLifei was thinking 65' from the same distance....
Whats your opinion? No 65?
@@Akaneserres hey man! Yeah I'm a fan of 65" of course. It's a great size. Bigger is better if you can afford it but you can't go wrong with that size
You could have gotten a TCL QLED
Cheaper and better 144hz in gaming
Better Menu, google TV not Tinzen from samsung.
I really wanted to try a TCL to be honest but the price was a few hundred bucks higher (here in Canada).
Good call though.
The cheapest 75 inch tv in the world that i found is skyworth 75 inch tv. Its QLED Tv😊
Yeah sweet! I'm not familiar with that brand. You think it would be fine for the long term? Same as any?
@TheSAHDLife opps sorry its LED Tv, not QLED. Not sure how its gonna perform in long term but the tv is quite same as TCL tv
Your "wife." Got it. 😂
Oh yeah, my "beard" 😆
Man just upgrades from 65 to 75
Never would I have thought I'd be in giant screen territory.... Thanks Black Friday sales!!
I'm still happy with this screen months later. I mean I had to buy an hdmi expander, but other than that...for the price.
4k@120hz is very expensive and a console cannot do it with current next gen games
Yeah exactly... it'll be awhile until we get there. I'm still really happy with the TV for the price! We game on it everyday (Series X) and looks great.
Dude that's one third the price I got TODAY
Ya?! Where'd you get one from? Same one?
Either way my friend you have got yourself a giant TV and that's exciting no matter what....
@@TheSAHDLife Ye man
All you talked about was GAMING. What about SPORTS and MOVIES???
Movies look great! Very happy with the quality still. As far as sports, to be honest I don't have a good feed for them... I've streamed hockey at 1080p from Sportsnet app and it looked decent... But I would like to see a real 4k feed from a TV box before I'd have an actual opinion or recommendation on it.
@@TheSAHDLife Thanks for your input. Please include Movies and Sports in your future reviews, if and when applicable.

Stinkin' tax! Makes that $999 TV not such a good deal!
I enjoy this tv. Best tv ive ever had. But i had to disable network on the tv because the smart features are annoying. I just wanted to hook it to ps5
It is really good right? Are the speakers better than you expected? I don't use them but still, I'm almost doubting if I even need my receiver in this room. I too disable the smart features but overall for the price I have no regrets.
