Glad I was not the one who started in early 2020 with Chloe Ting! Her programs got me into the exercise! Home workouts were fun but I wanted to do better. Hence I explored youtube and reddit...I am grateful for these resources. Realised that strength training is so crucial for women. Gradually my fitness goals changed from looking skinny to being fit and toned. About the gym, well I had one near my house but didn't have the courage to go. Also realised I was gonna be in another location and don't wanna rely on the gym for a workout (I know this is an excuse! ) But I am glad I got to know about calisthenics! Loved the concept of using your body as a way of training. Even though it differs from going to the gym, I feel as far as consistency is in the picture, calisthenics is a great pursuit. Simply because of minimal requirement to get started and it fits my current lifestyle. But I gotta admit that I too want to go to the gym and make it a part of my lifestyle. My workout journey has been on and off since 2020 but now I am very clear on my fitness goals and how to pursue them. The whole goal is to get started. Consistency over Perfection!
