I have an doubt... As you said that microcontroller is used for specific task. then how the MOBILE PHONES is an application of it? mobile phones are used for many tasks (multi task). so it should be an Microprocessor application.

Mam here is one doubt you say In Microprocessor due to external components the total power consumption is High this is totally right but you say therefore it is not ideal for the device running on Stored power like batteries my question is arise here is this we are uses laptop mobiles and etc ... Totally power based on Battery then how you say it is not running on Battery! pls reply this issue mam

Microcontroller is used in building Robots. Microcontrollers of series AT are also very commonly used in building of Robots. Microcontrollers are robot brains. Microcontrollers allow the designer to interface sensors and specialized control electronics together (along with anything else required for the project) and contain the overall logic of the robot.
The AVR series microcontrollers from Atmel and PIC series microcontrollers from Microchip are commonly using for robotics applications.
