For Kyle not to be concerned when she has had a sister who has battle for years …….. I don’t know if she is a true friend or trying to save her friend from looking crazy on tv . This is how alcoholism starts . You use it in a crisis and it feels good, you will then continue to want to feel good .

Kyle can relate because she drinks a bit herself. Ok...thats wrong. She's always drinking. And Rinna. Most of them do. All the seasons..the word "drink" comes up all the time and not for water. I'm surprised no one says anything about that until Erika wanted people to see her drunk. There's nothing wrong with drinking, but the conversations get way off the charts afterwards and the next day they're confused. Well.of course..booze was doing all the talking.
Garcelle has shown Erika so much grace and the fact that she doesn’t recognize it speaks volumes.

The grace was not taking her head off for cussing at both her kids and coming on to her very married oldest son and calling her daughter in law a "baby mama"

I do think the situations are different. I don't know their story, but it sure feels like before they entered Reality TV, Kim had did some things while intoxicated that really hurt Kyle. Erika hasn't done that. She views the two situations differently and it's honestly with good reason. From her perspective.

So basically they are saying “we want to be your friend Garcelle, but not if your friends with Sutton”. How childish
i would think Garcelle's experience with her son's addiction would be WHY she was more sensitive and concerned. She probably has seen first hand how quickly something that starts harmless can quickly escalate. *make it make sense*
Usually people they have experienced addiction don’t have much tolerance for it, from what I’ve seen
Kyle sure has a lot of tolerance for it considering Kim has had issues
Speaking from someone who is 3 years sober and who drank to make herself feel anything I understand why and what about Erika’s drinking “to have fun” because also think, if she was seen “having fun and she was sober” people would run her across the coals for Daring to enjoy life while the victims of her husband suffer. She is in a no win public situation and so for her the best way to get by is at least get drunk AF and have a little fun then at least you can blame it all on the alcohol and prescription meds. So Erika I get. Not a pass but I understand what I am seeing. Now what and who I don’t understand is what’s Sutton excuse for being the insensitive self centered person she is? That one still baffles me because I want to like her than she says something and ?????

As a 27 year old alcoholic who started off by using alcohol to “feel good”…. Erika is walking a dangerous line. Using alcohol to cope with negative emotions is substance abuse

Ugh, I just hate how much Crystal holds her tongue! Even in the after show. She will literally agree and back Garcelle in her confessionals, but is silent in real time around the ladies. She even let Erika say those snide comments about her eating disorder, unchecked. She needs to do a better job of using her voice amongst the group.

I noticed that too. I think it’s because when she has voiced her opinions in the past she was shut down. But for good reason imo. Her situation with Sutton about the dark comment. But this would have been a time to speak up for herself.
But she seemed to be strong enough and strong willed to speak up for Erika’s side and situation when their friends when people are saying she’s supposed to be on Sutton & Garcelle’s side. So why does it seem like she splitting half and half a trade for a trade like almost as if she’s on two sides but supports the so called villains of the show more than the other two.🤔😐😕🤷🏽♀️

I feel the exact same way!!! I love these two women together. They’re honest and they check each other when they need to be checked. That’s what real friends do. My best friends are friends that I’ve had since I was a little girl and I was born in the 70s. We all live in different states now, but when we talk on the phone it’s just like we were little girls or teenagers spending the night at each other‘s homes and just giggling and behave like young girls. In my opinion Sutton and Garcelle will remain friends forever.👏🏽❤️❤️

Plus Garcelle’s party isnt the only time, even Kyle admits to that. It appears as if that Rinna is only speaking up because Garcelle is highlighting it…otherwise they’ll chalk it up to her “coping/escaping/ and letting loose”

One minute she’s trying to be kind understanding the next minute it’s all about her. Not gonna lie I was having mixed feelings about Garcelle too on this show even though I kind of like her from the real tv show.

Maybe because Garcelle recognizes that heavy drinking while on meds consistently is more than just having a “little fun”. She’s in danger and as the mother of an addict in recovery Garcelle can see the warning signs. This is her way of showing concern
I get that Erika’s life has fallen apart but she has a son and a mother, what do she mean ‘it’s Christmas what the f*** do I have?’ Or ‘Erika is in a crisis.’ Plus she has a cute rental, fun friends, nice stuff, a dream job on Bravo, a new hair line, etc. etc. Erika you’ve been given plenty of grace and you’re still very blessed.

Other than Sutton and Garcelle, I don't think the other females are really friends, I just think they have a pact. There’s a thing about Erika and Garcelle.
Garcelle is extending her the same amount of grace and compassion that the other girls are extending her, but she’s doing it in a different way in from a completely different approach.
I think, whereas Kyle has experience with addiction, she is walking on eggshells because she doesn’t want to trigger anything, Garcelle is being preventative and trying to stop someone from getting to a place where they could even be considered an addict in the first place and I think that is because Garcelle cares and doesn’t want her to get to that place, again from a place of experience with family member’s addiction. Same intention, different approach.
That’s why she’s approaching it the way she’s approaching it, and other people are reading it as more malicious than concerned.
I think that Garcelle wanting her to get a handle on this now when you’re able to acknowledge what the issue is before it becomes an existential Problem is caring just as much as someone like Kyle understanding that she’s been through a lot and needs to let her hair down and have some fun.
