We have one of the original patented "Tri Puzzler by Setko" versions of this game (varnished board, brass pieces) from the very early 60s, and the instructions on that say that the last piece left must be in one of the corners. When I was a kid I had it all figured out, but now I don't remember.

I like that you shared on how to complete this puzzle....but it absolutely doesn't come close to being like baseball...I don't understand (other than the top diamond) how it relates to baseball
