Sinners can't be free from sin but through faith in Jesus they can be forgiven. I don't care how good you think you are. You are a sinner that will fall short every time without Jesus. Hate is a sin.

False. Jesus came to cleanse us of sin. So no longer sinners. If you choose sin, which is your choice to give in to temptation, then you decided not to stay in Christ. Read the epistle, 1John. We are not to stay in our sin.

@@torislarkins916You are confused. God hates sin. This is right. God gives us the choice to be saved. If we don't choose salvation, we will experience the wrath of God. Complaining won't change that. If your apple starts rotting, you can either throw it out or cook it. If you cook it, it is not the same afterwards, but it is preserved. God came to change our hearts and transform our minds, so that He doesn't have to throw us out.
      Your choice.

@suzannegriffiths4795 If you think you don't commit some sort of sin every day, then you are wrong. To hate is sin. Over eating is a sin. Lust is a sin. Pride is a sin. So don't tell me you don't sin. You just don't realize what your sins are because YOU don't look at them like sins. To deny sin is a sin. Repent your sins don't deny them. Good way to stay lost.

@@Covelio your idea of grace is a bit undeveloped. Jesus came for a purpose. His purpose not ours. To think He came for our purpose is immature. His purpose is clear. He came to save us from our sin which is punished with spiritual death, merely because of our nature. Without attachment to God, we dry up spiritually and die. So it is merely a consequence.
Since God saw that we were helpless in sin, since one is enough to prove our corruption, which spreads like yeast, noone was savable under God's high standards.
Since God's standards are too high for us to attain; DID GOD GIVE UP AND COME DOWN TO OUR STANDARDS?
I think you know the answer! No!
God came to CLEANSE US, not cover us. This is a work by the Spirit, whom we work with for Christ's purpose. To save us out of darkness, corruption, rot.
So it is NOT OUR WORKS entirely. It is the Spirit leading us that ensures victory over sin, long-term. That is why the ten virgins weren't all saved. Some did not have the necessary leading of the Spirit (oil). Remember Zechariah? "Not by might and not by power but by My Spirit, says the LORD".
It is not useful to focus on one aspect of the gospel. You need to get with His program!

In the past, the morality of all religions has changed. Updated if you will. They choose as a group which tenets to follow while allowing others to obscure with various rationalizations. Some say that religions must cherry pick what they follow, but I say it’s only the inevitability of evolution.

    • @grgustafson3777

Evolution of species is a lie. (And HAS BEEN proven as such!) Anything that is not the whole counsel of God is a lie, regardless if it is spoken in secret, preached from a pulpit, or shouted from a mountain top.
Evolution of thought? Unless it is the process of understanding God’s Word, as He intends, is foolish and leads one away from God- away from Truth and everlasting Life. I encourage you to trust the Bible and depend upon Jesus, our Creator and Kinsman-Redeemer. He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one goes to the Father, except by Jesus. (And all you need to do is believe Him!)

You do understand Christianity is all about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth?

    • @shawnholloway9186
      @shawnholloway9186 Месяц назад

@@tommyboy39378 Thank you! Yes, I understand that is what is said about Him . The underlying morality of the faith has undeniably changed from the first Christians. Jesus fulfilled the law, but did not explain what He meant by that. That now allows a certain type of Christian to use verses they like (i.e. gays burn in Hell, women are property, etc) while omitting the ones they don’t(Romans 13:1-2, Numbers 5: 11-31, etc). They say that God does not change, however, the morality of Christians certainly does. There isn’t anything implicitly WRONG with that per se, but the question I would ask is: Does God command moral actions because they are good, or are they good because God commands them? Thanks!

@@shawnholloway9186 I like and respect what you said. Well, Paul wrote in his epistle who would not enter the kingdom of heaven. For Romans 13:1-2, I personally detest the democrat party and Joe Biden. If he is elected President again, I would have to accept that God allowed it to happen. As for Numbers 5: 11-31, that’s a good point. Tough to read and agree with it I get it. That law was under an old covenant. Remember the woman who blatantly committed adultery? According to mosaic law she should have been stoned to death, but Jesus said to the heated mod “He who lives without sin cast the first stone”. Jesus is the very paragon of good, love and truth. All of us miss the mark of perfection and so Christ died for us. To answer your question though, I would say the latter is correct. Even if we don’t like his commandments or agree with them it matters not, for it is written that His ways are above our ways. It’s our faith He wants not our obedience per se.

    • @tommyboy39378

@@shawnholloway9186 I respect what you said. The Apostle Paul made it very clear in his epistle to the people of Corinth as to who would not inherit the kingdom of heaven. Women are still viewed as property around the world today, but not by God loving and God fearing Christian men, and not by Christian men who love their wives and truly follow Jesus. For Romans 13: 1-2, me personally, I detest the democrat party and Joe Biden as President. Yet, He is in control of all things, so am I really going to argue with the one who gives me my next breath? Numbers 5: 11-31 is tough to agree with at first glance I’ll give you that. Still, when David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband killed, God killed their first child to punish David’s sins because he did not repent until Nathan told him why his child died. If you recall in the New Testament, the Pharisees brought a woman to Jesus who had been caught in the very act of adultery. They knew as well as Jesus did that the punishment for such an act was for her to be stoned to death. Remember what Jesus said? “He who lives without sin cast the first stone”. To answer your question though, I believe it is the latter. Jesus is the paragon of good, love and truth. Thomas, the skeptic Apostle, said it best when Jesus appeared alive after the crucifixion, he said “my Lord and my God” and bowed down and worshipped him. We may not always agree with Gods commandments but that is irrelevant. He is the creator of everything seen and unseen. For it is written that His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts above our thoughts. What Jesus truly wants is our faith and not our obedience per se.

I know a bunch of preachers that have married couples from adultery, leaving their spouses or otherwise for others and getting married on the grounds of adultery. And the pastors, so-called pastors that marry them, don’t have any discernment to this. It’s getting crazy out there with these people, teaching people how to be comfortable in their sin preaching( where sin abounds grace bound much much more) like Christians have a hall pass to behave anyway they want to. You see that a lot with these pastors that never went to seminary and they’re leading some motorcycle club or something like that weirdos man.
