good day sir Lee. just wanna ask if there's a branch of pacific rim athletics in the philippines? i literally wanna train with you guys. i wanna learn what you do😢😢😢
Mr Weiland, your inspirational talks and training have changed my life, I always thought I am what what I am, but thanks to you I realise I'm not what I could be, many thanks for helping me to grow.
Weightlifting isn’t the end all be all. Your idea of training is much for beneficial and useful in everyday life. Flexibility & Mobility IS strength and once you build from those even greater strength comes in time. I also agree. Weightlifting overall is slow strength. I definitely have lost some explosiveness that I’m gaining back with calisthenics and difficult bodyweight moves like you’re showing here. Thanks Lee
I do pike push-ups on the edge of a stair so my chin would go beyond my palm, for back bridge I mix holds an push-ups. Though I can only do it for 8-13 reps.
Lee, one thing I love is that these videos are sorta infomercials, but if you stick through them (and enjoy the powerbatics B-roll) you still give really good advice that isn't behind a paywall. Keep up the good work healing people. God Bless
After discovering this channel yesterday and watching a few videos, I become super excited. At 52 years old, I have been trying to get 'in shape' for the first time in my life but wasn't sure how to approach it. The ideas behind the paths laid out on this is nothing i would have ever thought of. But after watching and (listening) for a few hours straight, It all sounded so natural to me! But then the disappointment. As someone being extremely out of shape with very little strength and next to no flexibility, it was disappointing open a video titled 'the only 3 exercises you need' or 'do this for a strong core" only to find that each video contains instructions relating to the highest level of exercises. Little to no guidance on how to start, basic moves to master, beginner flexibility, etc. Either way, there is many sources of information once one has a clear goal. Thanks for that vision. I feel very motivated for the first time. Now i just need to put in the time to figure out how to start.
I give instruction in every video, including examples of basics (which is relative). But people don't want to hear the most important instruction: get individualized training. That's LITERALLY how all our students are doing this.
first video.....wowser bro...super inspiring....calisthenics meets gymnastics with primal flow.....i'm gonna call it calisthenastics.....sensational results....Lee......49y/old...can free handstand for about 30secs......closing in on muscle up.....and halfway to push -up handstand.......(against a wall)......but i'm coming for ya.....lol....great vid.....nice flow...
What i did after a shoulder injuri i stopped lifting did cardionsome steaching mobility and core i lost weight fat and muscle that made me lighter and more mobile and i began with pull ups push ups and dips and skill work and streaching was an every day routine. Now i do human flag muscle ups hollow holds handstand push ups bridges and one leg pistol squats and do flares some times i do biceps curls i guess bad old habits some times follow us hahahha. I do alot qirh rings all of my injuries healed and i feel better than ever before. Before i was 210lbs with muscles but not true strength.
I can do some push ups, i guess 80 clean in one set. I tried bridge push-ups, my bridge looks like a bridge after an earthquake 😂 Flexibility you said… Really must join your course ASAP
Amazing, I am in my sixties and had to start from scratch due to long-term health issues, I still struggle to gain real strength no matter what I try, I need to start again again to figure out how I can gain super strength again. age is a number. iso metric holds kill lol.
5:12 Stupid question: I don’t have access to a thin Bar so I use gymnastic rings Are the Hangs on the rings also effective? The lack of stability takes the isometric aspect of the exercise a little bit away I believe
Hello Lee, great learning thanks! Do these moves require high calorie energy demands, so one has to double their calorie intake before or after these trainings?
Which video should I start with. I’m a 54 year old man I’m in decent shape and some what flexible but it seams like every year I start to hurt more and get a little stiffer. I work long days at fedex which keeps me moving ALOT but the sides of my lower back (QL) are really stiff and is slowly me down to do any real workouts. So where should I start ?
This guy has amazing balance and functional strength but I disagree with his explanation of punching power. That power is generated by weight shift and explosive body rotation. It is very closely related to pitching a baseball, hitting a golf ball, or throwing the shotput.
Have you ever worked with someone stuck in right stance that's almost out of it? I've tried a lot things... improved my movement drastically. Tried mace swings... seemed to help at first. Then my shoulders started clicking. Stopped. Doing a lot of basic stuff you show. One shoulder more internally rounded and the other external. Side delts pretty imbalanced but my posture is a lot better thannit was. Can get my ribs to close together finally after years of trying, but need help carrying it over into bigger movements. Can't seem to find nuetral... I really need help tbh. I've come so far, but I also have a slight disc bulge in my neck. I need to fix my shoulders to protect it. I feel like it's possible given I can finally flex my serratus together... but nothing I do seems to completely work. I know there's no such as perfect and to some extend imbalances are normal, but it's caused me some real misery. My neck is imbalanced because of this and I am tired of being uncomfortable or in pain every time I work out. I seriously don't even feel comfortable carrying groceries. Towel pull ups help. One arm pulls on door ways from my feet touching the floor... not from dead hang... I need to protect my neck... I'm realising more and more the only way is to train the shoulder joint through all angles.. if I don't my delts will always be stuck in opposite rotation. The middle delt of my right is taking the blunt force and the front of the middle the left. My left lat, rear delt, and middle of the serratus are stronger on the left with a stronger glute maximus. The glute median is stronger on the right with a stronger front delt. Stronger at the elbow on the right than the left. The rib cage rotates more upward on the left. Problem really comes up in over head tricep extensions. I know this can be fixed and I know I've got to be close... but I'm tired of this. I don't care about fixing it one hundred percent. Like I said some difference is normal.. but I need more stable more symmetrical shoulders. Part of it is probably due to anatonomy, upper chest attaches closer to the shoulder on the left... My legs are also imbalanced but figured out a system that seems to work for them... just need help unphucking my shoulders and neck.
@@LeeWeiland Hi, the injury happened in December 2020. I give it time, pain goes away, I start mild training and it comes back two fold. Tried to see doctors and many online Jumper's Knee Protocols, but it did not help much
@@LeeWeiland I understand. I just got lost in the video because there were so many other movements mentioned. I suppose I got overwhelmed. I will do my best to incorporate some of the difficult movements into my routine in order to improve myself.
The pyramid push-ups felt better than normal push-ups, but I’m sure my with my lack of hamstring flexibility they looked more like rounded hill push-ups.😂

Hello Lee, great learning thanks! Do these moves require high calorie energy demands, so one has to double their calorie intake before or after these trainings?
People are too concerned about "nutrition" just eat real food a couple times a day whenever/whatever feels best

They're sprinkled through our videos and even $1,000 prizes for best kata on Powerbatics channel

Can someone do this with the right training if they were told they need a shoulder replacement? I hear the bone rubbing or popping.
As a person who has never done any workout or lifted any weights, i could do only 3 pyramid pushups 😢

What do you think of pushups with your feet on a flat wall, at shoulder height when your arms are extended? It takes a lot of core strength.
Yes it does. People buckle in the lower back and don't get the actual benefit. It's pretty advanced if you do it correctly.
