Yes, the RE franchise really does a good job giving a feeling like Railroad Tycoon and Railroads! If you haven't played RE1, you will like RE2 and should play it!
LOL, just dropped a comment on another one of your videos and thought I would check out others. Man, I loved this original series, bought most of the DLCs and played it nearly to death. Didn't even know a new one had come out, will wait for a sale as I am busy enough already with both CS2 and BeamNG. Too many games, too little time! Thank you for another helpful video and, again, best of luck with your channel.
It's somewhere in between. You can't just sit around and watch the pretty trains, and it's not turn-based, so you do have to be active. But it doesn't feel fast-paced like an RTS would. I'm not sure I'd call it "relaxing." You do have to plan and execute.
I also like trains. I loved Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon. This looks dang close.

If you play it, let me know if you share my opinion about how it didn't change a whole lot.
Is this fast paced game? Or relaxing?
