Okay, here is what you do buy a metal shelving unit either 36" or 48" get some wood crates 12"×18" for your vinyl records .They can hold the weight not like IKEA. Also easy to flip through your records.😊
Awesome video, props from Hawaii! The AT60series/Edifier beginner combo is actually really good and takes a bit of money, research & knowing what you want out of a system to beat. I ended up getting into CDs in the same way, but for 90s-00s heavy metal; found some awesome discs at a thrift shop from when I was a kid & later thrifted a setup to play everything. Plus I still enjoy the whole experience of scanning my small collection to pick a vinyl or disc to listen to at the end of the day. It’s just not the same as selecting a track on a playlist.
Haha I feel ya, record collecting is an expensive hobby for me and in the 4 years that I've been doing it I've only amassed 50~ records. Don't have many cds but the ones that I do have I just play on a playstation 2 I have on my shelf 😆
I bought a pair of edifiers as well for our turntable the r1700BT. Very happy with the performance especially for the price. Edifiers are known to punch above their weight.
Ziemlich coole Setup.
You said something like "If I we get more records, we'll find the way". I would recommend start thinking that already now. ;) But I have to say that you got beatiful setup with harmony. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs)
Nice startup rig. You might want to decouple the speakers from the cabinet to reduce the amount of feedback going into the turntable. It will make a real difference to the precision of the sound.. good luck with your RUclips journey. 😊
That's a loaded question 😄 I used to collect CDs and missed the tangible experience, so once the resurgence made it to my social media feeds, it reignited this passion. I also want to slow down and appreciate albums how artists intended them to be listened to. I also love album artwork (which often comes with interesting material) which I can display and vary depending on my mood. The warm sound is also quite nice, even when it starts to crackle.
@@pourtherecord my dad collected records I have always had things like CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl so I started collecting the records and in a world where everything is just on Spotify, SoundCloud, or internet archive I like to own the physical copy
@pourtherecord If you find a way to put them in the right place they are really capable monitors and you will be surprised with clarity, scene and dynamics
Fair warning: A grumpy old head may tell ya not to leave your records in that SHM stand as over time it could indent the bottom of the records. I’m letting ya know before they make it to your video lol
You had me at “coffee and vinyl record setup.” Thanks for sharing your space! Looks great!
Thank you! Glad to know I’m not the only crazy coffee and vinyl lover out there 😅
I’m your 1K subscriber just wanted to congratulate you ! I loved this video
Thank you so much for the support! 🙏🏾
If you come to Oxford, there’s a record shop/ coffee shop called Mostro! I used to work there and it’s such a vibe
Thanks for the recommendation!

I’ll keep note of that for next time!
Hi Mike! Really nice setup and perfect place to enjoy your music 👍
Thanks!!
I was literally just thinking how i need the Space Jam sound track and I just saw you have it. More motivation to go get it!
Classic movie and soundtrack 👌🏾

We have a lot in common then 😁 It’s all about enjoying the process
I knew you live in Germany as soon as I saw the texture of the wall lol :)
Haha if it was only soundproof 😅
Sick setup, I have a 2x2 ikea kallax with an lp60x and it does the job for being in a small corner of my room
Solid simple setup 👌🏾 A 2x2 Kallax is a bit too small for my collection at this point 😅

Good set up. I have a large music cd collection . I have a Sony cd player with Edifier speakers attached to it. The sound quality is good that way.

Agreed 💯 Definitely some bang for buck
They’re absolute junk. Shouldn’t let Amazon choose your speakers for you.

Sehr starkes Setup!

Nice 😊 The speakers will be vibrating the turntable
Haven’t figured out where to put them yet 😬
This is sick af. I'm going to redo my set up now
Great setup!
Thanks!!
Cool video! 👍🏽
Thanks!
Nice table never seen the wood look , is your needle conical or eliptical .
Tbh I didn’t know the difference until I looked it up 😅 I found out it’s an elliptical stylus
Very cool
Clean!
👌🏾

Why do you collect records? (I don’t want to be rude I am just wondering)

How about you?

Love it!
Thеse Edifiers don't sound good possitioned like that. They need space around them to really shine.
Thanks for the feedback! I actually moved them up to give them space. Next idea is to give them an extra shelf away from the turntable
@pourtherecord If you find a way to put them in the right place they are really capable monitors and you will be surprised with clarity, scene and dynamics
Yes! Hopefully I find a solution in the new year!

@@pourtherecord Anything with a flat/solid surface to sit on is best. I don’t have any product recs in terms of displays similar to what you have.
