I sure do miss these old commercials. Has anyone but me noticed lately that a great majority of TV commercials these days feature a dog - regardless of whether or not the product being advertised has anything to do with dogs? From cleaning products to insurance and everything in between. It's become a cliche. What's even worse are commercials for prescription drugs showing people walking around in garish work-out clothing having conversations while one of them is walking a dog. Particularly offensive are the ones that show an overweight bald guy strolling around (also in garish work clothing) and of course carrying a clipboard and high fiving everyone he meets for no discernible reason? 😊
