yes please! i love your videos and style of makeup but i’m interested to see if it can be replicated with more affordable alternatives... can imagine you enjoying the maybelline dream urban cover foundation and maybelline colour tattoo in creamy beige (v similar to groundwork) but other products like cream bronzers and sheer lipsticks are harder to come by
Agreed! Particularly what you would go for with regards to sustainability if limited to high street
It would be interesting to see the cost of this and if that would affect it if you didn't work in beauty, because you get given so much stuff as part of your job, and if you worked in an office you'd have to buy all of it. And your financial situation might be different, I know a lot of professionals in their late twenties/early thirties who can't afford to keep spending £43 on foundation every time they need a new one.
That's what I feel so unrealistic about this tag. MOST of these girls wouldn't have all of this high end, lux makeup since it's not given to them. Total this makeup up and it's the cost of many of their bills. I'd thinking eating would be more important than hundreds of dollars of cosmetics!
Michele Wang did a really reallistic video with this topic. I have no relation with the beauty industry, but I consume a lot of YT. and I have like 10 foundations. Also, the products they show are recent products, by this time you probably have the eyeshadow from 1 year ago. 🤔
I think her approach was more like "what would I wear from my stash, if I was working in an office". While I had assumed from the title, that she would be showing products, that she would actually splurge on, even if beauty was not on top of her spending list.
I would recomend to spend as much as you can in the foundation because if is the right one for your skin and lifestyle. I was 1 month way from home in a professional task. I only use giorgio armani luminiuos silk (I didn´t need primer or concealer), a bronzer (eyes and cheek), lipstick (lips and cheek) and mascara by Rimmel

Love this idea, but I would have expected to see powder in there! During lockdown and only working from home, I realised that I started to do my make up a bit like a youtuber, ie. not really using powder or long-wearing products as I normally would because well, I’d never be very far away from my mirror and makeup bag if ever I needed to touch up. For me, that’s the difference with ‘real life’ - when you’re heading off to the office in the morning you need things to work for you all day long with no concern about how your makeup is faring throughout the day. For me that means long-wearing products and powder and minimal lipstick (if any at all) as that always needs touching up.
When you went to put on your primer I was like "No! You're going to ruin your makeup!" But you weren't wearing any. Anna, your skin is looking fab.

I really enjoy these videos as it's basically top picks! Although as a non-youtuber with a small makeup collection I still have two of everything. Daily tinted moisturiser and evening out foundation, daily primer for the office and futuredew for weekends, day to day nude lipsticks and evening out reds/darker tones, day to day cream shadows and evening out sparkle, day to day cream bronzer and deeper powder bronzer for evenings so definitely have more makeup than these if I weren't on RUclips videos 😂 x

I love this concept. As a consumer I have a lot of makeup and have gone round in circles on how I feel about that.
I have played at separating out my favourites (which would fit in a single makeup bag) and I have realised that I would never have come across my favourites without having played around so much with all the other products.

I love this! I am a big consumer of skincare and beauty and have a tonne of stuff that fits into one fairly sizeable bag but I always find myself seeing things on insta/YT and buying them only to find that I look exactly the same with the original products in my stash! So I’m trying to be more restrained 😂

I think if you are interested in/care about makeup, whatever your job is or your budget, you are going to have a bigger stash because you will try things. It would be interesting to see a challenge within a certain budget, or a certain number of items.

LOLz. I enjoyed this, and I loved your process. I am a doctor, so definitely not a makeup professional, and I like a pretty but fairly minimal look, but I have loads and loads more than this and that's after sizing down considerably. I like variation, even in my every day looks, and I love to try new things. Just my travel makeup bag which I recently took on a two week holiday contained more products :).
A skincare version of this tag would be👀👀

Actually the fact that you look the same as always makes this video useful. I would expect the extra bits are to make you look somewhat different, but are only scarcely used, that's why they are the extra!

Ever since I started wearing makeup I have had a larger collection, like having 5 or more quads, a handful of lipsticks, but then like 1 or 2 foundations and like 1 cheek product. The only thing that has changed is I now love cheek products a whole lot more.

Ooo I can answer this! I love them both tbh, however GA would be sheerer and glowier. CC is better coverage I think but I think you could potentially build up the GA. Both are good for my very dry skin
