The last manager to beat Bayern to the Bundesliga title was Jurgen Klopp, but now it looks like Xabi Alonso will achieve that feat this season. Maybe that very achievement is what grants you a job at Liverpool.
It should also note that Jurgen Klopp had won DFB Pokal with Borussia Dortmund at that time, beating Bayern Munich 5-2 in the Final, just a week before Bayern Munich had a devastating defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League Final, despite playing in front of the home crowd at Allianz Arena. Bayer Leverkusen will most likely won the DFB Pokal this year because they were the solitary team from Bundesliga that's left in the DFB Pokal this season (the other three were teams outside Bundesliga, with Saarbrücken playing in 3.Liga, having already knocked Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Gladbach out). They will play against Fortuna Düsseldorf in the DFB Pokal semifinal.

20:45 how in the hell can Kane be a ballon d’or winner when he is nowhere near the achievements required to win such a prestigious award ????? I love this channel but not that comment.
I would hardly say that FIFA International Soccer had "no competition" when it was originally released in 1993 on the Sega Megadrive / Genesis, football games had been very popular for over a decade prior and the market was saturated with many games, most of which were rubbish! It did however offer something different from what had come before.
It's like Kane's transfer to Bayern is causing a butterfly effect that will allow Leverkusen to win a trophy while simultaneously making Bayern go trophyless for the first time in 22 years.
Hey Alfie am a huge fan of your football essays. Thank you for being so consistent and informative. I have a question that has been bothering me for a while, Please discuss; 1.Whatever happens when a reserve team plays in the second tier and gets promoted. Is it possible for Barcelona and Barcelona B to play in the same competition or a Ajax and Jong Ajax for instance? What about if Ajax gets relegated, can they play in the same league as their reserve team? What are the rules and aren't there conflicts of interest ?? 2.What happens when a championship side wins the FA or the League cup in England, can a championship side qualify for Europe's elite competitions by virtue of winning the FA or league cup? or say Sevilla get relegated from la liga this season but they end up winning the europa league would they play the champions league next season while playing in the segunda division? Please discuss. Thanks for being awesome. Love from Kenya
1. Spanish B teams have to be a league lower than their parent club, so even if Barca B won the segunda, they'd stay in the league and I assume would be ignored when calculating the promoted teams. 2. If a league 2 team won the FA cup (incredibly unlikely) and then somehow won the Europa League the next season (even more unlikely), they would be in the Champions' League. This is just from my understanding of the two situations, if I'm wrong then I'm sure someone will tell me so. 😅
It does seem too Tottenham centric (I understand the reason, but it'd be more interesting with inclusions from different clubs). Son and Kane make sense, as they have been world class level for several years and actually came close to winning a CL with Spurs. But instead of Bissouma, I would give a shout out to James Ward-Prowse, who has been consistently really good and among the best midfielders in the PL outside of the Top Six teams (even better that some in the Top Six). At Southampton for more than 10 years he was often among the more important players and even captained the club for a few seasons, and now at West Ham, while not the main man, he's been a regular chance creator and done a very good job when called upon. Came close as Southampton were runners up of the 16-17 EFL cup, and even in the 11-12 Championship (his first season with the Saints first team) they were promoted as second in the league. It's a shame he hasn't received many call ups either, not because he's not good enough but because of the volume of competition for those midfield places in the England squad during his career. If he were to be called up for the Euros, he would have a similar final chance of an international trophy just as Pickford, but at the moment seems unlikely he'll be on Southgate's plans. There is still a chance he could advance through the EL with West Ham, but the level of competition will make it hard for them to reach the final stages. So, at least for the short term future, it's unlikely he'll end that trophyless status.
I know we're not counting super cups, but Kane's Munich debut was a hammering in the German super cup. Somehow convincing them to bring Eric Dier in can't have helped to shake the Spurs jokes
With Lewis Dunk, arguably the closest he came to a trophy was in 2016-17 when Newcastle pipped the seagulls to the Championship top spot by a point due to a last minute howler by Stockdale from a weak Jack Grealish effort
Or Bayern loses(as it's 99,99999% sure) the title, but wins CL. Then both Comans record is broken(his record is only for title champion, not overall titles), but Harry finally wins something.
It would be absolutely insane if Harry Kane fails to win a trophy at Bayern Munich during his first season at the club when prior to him joining Bayern won 10 successive Bundesliga titles
In light of Bournemouth’s ridiculous comeback win against Luton, how about a video on the 7 greatest (or most significant) comebacks in premier league history?
Harry Kane should take his mockery as a compliment. No other trophy-less player, of which I’m sure there’s tons of good ones, gets the same attention Kane gets
I believe that all Kane has to do is wait a year, maximum two, and the trophies at Bayern will start coming. Leverkusen might be invincible this year, but they will not be able to keep up that standard, and BVB09 will inevitably crumble, should they be able to challenge Bayern.
More like he should wait till winter. When almost all seasons are in a middle. Somewhere there must be a team that is about 10 points ahead of others. He should sign with them. If even this doesn't help, I don't know what would.
@@MihailParshin Nah, he definitely shouldn't do that. As things stand, he'll be remembered as possibly the greatest of all time to never win anything. That's probably more of an accolade than some 4th tier European league trophy.

Streets won't forget how good Payet's Prime was. Had he played for a bigger club like Arsenal or Man City, he would have won a league title or a couple FA cups for sure.
I blame Gary Neville, I remember him years ago saying "it's all about trophies". Ok Gary, but why can I not recall anything specific you did on the pitch despite watching you many times, but I can remember ten or more Matt Le Tissier goals in detail.
Be fair, playing a significant part in a promotion winning campaign to England’s top division means far more than winning pretty much anything else aside from the Premier League itself (and possibly, the Champions League, assuming you’re prepared to overlook the general standard of football prior to the quarter finals).
I must say, I enjoy your ranking videos very much. I use that to make my rankings too, with fewer adjustments. But please, can you talk about Gyorgy Sarosi?
Baffled at how an Olympic gold medal wouldnt count. Its not a youth tournament, it literally has the overage player allowance. Actual youth tournaments don't have that rule lol.
@@ethandalton6480it's also not strictly a youth tournament either. Answer this question honestly, what's a bigger accomplishment, an Olympic gold medal or the Community Shield? Because one of these is contested under friendly rules but would still qualify a player as having won a senior honour. The other is the fucking Olympic Games.
Radja Nainggolan would have been a good inclusion. He's had a lot of near misses. He didn't play enough for Inter to win a medal in 2021 and then left Antwerp before they won the league in 2023.

Kane very well break Lewandowski's 41 goals in a Bundesliga Season record in his first year in Germany and still not win a trophy, that would just be the epitome of Harry Kane, possibly the best player in the league, doing way more than he probably should and his team letting him down.
I'm a Spurs fan and while I agree with your broader point, Kane has never performed well or scored in a final despite having the opportunities to do so for club and country.

If only Harry Kane had stayed at Norwich City he would have won three trophies by now.
The Kane’s Curse in Munich 😅
I must say, I enjoy your ranking videos very much. I use that to make my rankings too, with fewer adjustments. But please, can you talk about Gyorgy Sarosi?
Before clicking on this video I didn't expect spurs to represent 3 players
Damn
Yeah, they should have at least 11 😂
Harry Kane, poor lad.
Baffled at how an Olympic gold medal wouldnt count. Its not a youth tournament, it literally has the overage player allowance. Actual youth tournaments don't have that rule lol.
It doesn't count because it's not a senior competition
@@ethandalton6480it's also not strictly a youth tournament either.
Answer this question honestly, what's a bigger accomplishment, an Olympic gold medal or the Community Shield?
Because one of these is contested under friendly rules but would still qualify a player as having won a senior honour. The other is the fucking Olympic Games.
@@LiamJM10 an Olympic gold medal, but how is that relevant to the conversation?
I don't know if Harry Kane is unlucky or a curse 🤔
Video idea: 7 greatest tridents of all time or since the 2000s. Attacking, mid, or defensive all count
Radja Nainggolan would have been a good inclusion. He's had a lot of near misses. He didn't play enough for Inter to win a medal in 2021 and then left Antwerp before they won the league in 2023.
💀
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 612)
I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
Why don’t you just list these players yourself?
that's a topic I'm interested in. I stand behind you brother!
He could actually make a series on that, not only the best German players, but also French, Italian, etc...
Farmers league😂
The main adversaries Son has to overcome to win a trophy are not players or managers but the higher-ups (especially the KFA ghouls)
Respect for including Lewis Dunk
An interesting video could be teams with the most transfer business between then
Kane has 5 finals
League cup 15
CL 19
League Cup 20
Euros 21
German super cup 23
And was on the losing side, with all 5 ! 😂
I have prayed on every single one of their downfalls
Top 7 father-son football duos!!
If you want finish trophy less, play for Spurs and England.
Or Assna
Kane is the Antonio Di Natale of English football
Di Natale is the only reason I knew of Udinese when I was younger
7 players that started bad at new club, but later became legends (or at least solid) for the particular club
Modric
Benzema
James Milner
I can't think of more
@@SodaSeezn Beckham for England
Maybe Lewandowski at Dortmund? I know he isn't a legend because of how he left, but in his first season he scored 8 Bundesliga goals, before scoring 22 the following season.@@SodaSeezn
son and kane both won the audi and tiger cup so they actually have trophies 😂
He mentioned that?
@@zingrock im trolling 😆
do a video ranking every world cup winning team ,example; 1st-Brazil 1958 , 12th-Argentina 2022, last Argentina 1986. Common Alfie do the video pls and retain the status if this channel to be the people's channel
I wonder if there are any players who have only ever won the World Cup and nothing else
Christoph Kramer. Came into the 2014 Germany team because someone else was injured. Otherwise just kept playing for Mönchengladbach, who don't really win anything.
Callum Wilson won the EFL Championship with Bournemouth
Video Suggestion on Best specialist/role players like Ji Sung Park or Rodrygo De Paul when messi is around.
while harry kane definitely was the first name that popped into my mind, and certainly deserves his top spot, i'm still somewhat disappointed at how biased this list is towards english / premier league players to be honest.
I think this tends to happen because people would have a national bias in most cases
@@5minutemovies977 certainly understandable, and it's not like those are egregious examples, it's just that he's normally a bit better about it.
"Without a further due"😂😂😂
While Kane probably isn't winning a trophy this season I feel like if he stays with Bayern for several more years that it's inevitable he'll win one
It’s farmers league ofcourse he’ll win something eventually
How many times can you say "thrice" in a video 😂 love the content though, keep doing you mate.
Kobel should have been in here and not just an honorable mention. He’s world class
Lol Im not a Spurs fan ... but even I was wincing as the list went on 😂
At least this season Kane will get the UEFA Golden Boot. He never had that before right?
yeah that’s basically guranteed
The Adu running gag gets me everytime😂😂😂
Matthew Le Tissier is an oldie I think about here....
Dunk had eight appearances as Brighton won league one which seems really harsh to include him here
I would argue Wirtz has had more impact than Kane in the league this season, even though Kanes G+A speaks for itself.
Plyers who scored great goales who were never heard of again
Eder from Portugal always come to mind, really great suggestion for a video I'd love to see it
As a Spurs supporter, I feel absolutely violated by this video, Alfie.
The truth hurts huh ?
As a Spurs fan I feel personally attacked by this video
