It does save you interior space, if you have a compartment to stow them in below the doorway.

Hi Don. I tried adding those inside steps on our Bighorn fifth wheel but they interfered with the interior too much to be functional. These new steps are just as sturdy and easier to use in my opinion. :) Safe Travels

Hi Aaron and Tina! How are you 2 doing these days? Missed you guys. Great installation Aaron. I was wondering if they are sturdy enough if you carry something heavy. It didn’t take you long to install them. I have never heard of these steps. But glad they work and glad you upgraded the steps. It’s good to see you again and Tina and Maggie for a bit. Give both Tina and Maggie a hug and kiss for me. Hope yo see you both and Maggie too real soon! Love you all! Safe travels!

Aaron,. I like the looks of the steps. The only issue I see for me and Cindy is we like a broader and more supported step. Bad knees and sometimes stability issues. 🍷🍷Also once we purchase the toyhauler I want to remove the rear steps and put a heat pump ductless system where the rear steps go. And then put in the fold up type that folds inside of the coach.
By the way we have ordered our 5th wheel hitch. It should be here this week. Then will be pickup the deck for the HDT. Baby steps but getting there. Hope to catch you guys next spring. Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"

They have versions with different lengths and widths of steps. You'd be shocked by how sturdy these are, despite only being supported at the top and bottom. It's a very sturdy "scissoring parallelogram " mechanism made with beefy stainless steel links throughout.

I bought the Morryde steps right before I started seeing these. I wish I would have waited. I would have bought the ones that fold behind the door because I installed a Morryde storage lock box where my OEM steps were. The storage box is nice. By the way, I like your OSHA approved removal process versus the blocks. Same way I removed mine. 👍

Good installation/review video of what I can personally vouch for being a great product from an excellent company. When I needed some specific dimensions of various models of their steps when folded up a certain way, their customer service department found someone in their engineering department who would take my call, to be sure I got exactly the measurements I needed. And the engineer verified what he thought the answer was, by grabbing one, configuring it how I would be installing it, and then measuring everything I needed.
Then I installed them for Box Van Dee, to change her box van from having only a deep step well, which meant it was two giant steps from outdoors to indoors: stepping from outdoors into the step well, and from the step well to the interior. Dangerously high steps for both Dee and her chihuahua. We decided to use 3 steps, to change it from being 4 steps up from ground to van instead of 2. I used the step well as the TorkLift storage locker, and made it so the top attachment slides out to deploy the steps, and slides in to stow the folded steps under her new bit of floor space where the step well used to be. Had to saw a door into two parts, making a split door so the (upper) door to the living space could be closed and locked while leaving the steps deployed with the bottom stair-compartment door open 180 degrees.
We didn't choose the version with the two adjustable landing-pad legs like yours, to save weight. We just got the (less expensive) version with a simple aluminum bar at the bottom. She correctly figured that it would be easy enough to put lumber or rocks under the bar than stoop down to adjust the landing pads all the time. Likewise, we skipped that whole black frame mechanism, it just had a swiveling bar for the top, which I bolted to a 2x3ish piece of oak plank which was sandwiched between the top of the old step well and the bottom of the new flooring covering the step well. We used that plank both to carry the weight at the top of the stairs, and like a drawer slide for deploying and stowing.
She wasn't sure if she'd prefer 3 aluminum sfeps vs 4, and with an add-on step being $100ish and the price difference between 3 and 4 stairs being $40ish, Dee chose the 4-step one. 3 ended up being perfect, so that caused me to discover the following:
When adding/removing a step (and presumably when you removed and replaced them on the frame) it's pretty tricky reassembling all the washers/spacers correctly, and adjusting the torques squeezing them all together to match all the other steps/joints, which determines how hard you have to pull to get the steps accordioned out or back into a bundle. It's best to have each such joint (and there are a large number of them) equally stiff or loose. They came very equally adjusted, but it was too stiff for her to pull them out, due to having broken her back a few years ago. But it's not rocket science, and definitely worth spending the time, to adjust them just right,.
Once installed and (if needed) adjusted for easy deployment, they're both really sturdy and quite easy to deploy and stow. You don't want the joints to be adjusted too loose, or just stepping on the steps might cause it to accordion out more.
