It's a pretty fun way and not really counts in "table manners", I think. 😂 I'll continue to do that, no matter whether it's a date, friends outing or family dinner. Of course, I don't do that when I'm with my colleagues.

I am sorry. But I personally believe that there is nothing wrong if you bend down and pick up the silverware (provided you are able to do so without causing a wardrobe malfunction). You must definitely ask for a new set, but nothing wrong with picking it up.

Yeah... I think its pretty disrespectful to call the waiter and ask him to pick the silverware that you could've easily picked up
@@agnivmajumdar215 actually, when you eat in a very expensive restaurant, it is highly recommend for you to not take it up and it obviously aren't disrepectful at all.
Tbh, it is their job to begin with(especially in an expensive restaurant) they're supposed to keep you clean. Picking those up may cause you to touch germs on the ground.
Also, you may experience stomache if you eat with germs from the ground and that will cause trouble to the owner. So it is better for you to just make them do it than "helping" them

Well it’s also about first impressions. I’d definitely not like if someone shoved salad in their mouth or fished for their straw with their tongue like that😂 it’s good to have good manners then once your into the relationship that’s when people feel more comfortable
I swirl spaghetti even if I eat at home. Having a sauce all over your face is now fun.

It’s really easy to make fun of table manners but these are important not to impress others, just to have bit more confidence and respect for us and others that are dining around you. 😊

Ah, I know what you mean, but when eating at a restaurant that's actually a good table manner...
Truly, you don't eat off silverware that fell on the floor. Especially in a restaurant, it is best to avoid getting floor germs on your hands while you are eating. That's why it is correct to leave the fork on the floor and ask for another one.
@@patriciajump9511 you could always use a tissue/handkerchief to pick it up and wash your hands after then ask for new utensils. Better still avoid dropping.
The spaghetti spoon twirl was taught early in our household, my mother attended Nebraska back in the early 50’s, her roommate was Italian, needless to say our family owes our spaghetti etiquette to that gal❤

Yeah everyone is talking about table manners. But I think nobody should change himself or herself just to avoid people judgement. I mean we should always be ourselves. The person will like me the way I am and not from my lifestyle or manners. But I really loved the video. A great way to learn table manners and those napkin folds were superb. I am definitely gonna try

This is probably an unpopular opinion but etiquettes matter to me. It shows that we respect each other, not because it's "shallow". I think being aware of manners and courtesy are signs of thoughtfulness and awareness - both are attractive traits imo.

It makes sense, but not every etiquettes matter.
I think that the etiquettes will change in accord of the place you are, especialy from places where having too much etiquettes can make the impression of you being arrogant.
I stick with the most basics etiquettes but i try my best to be myself more than follow the etiquettes (only following only the etiquettes that will make me not shame myself).
Well .I don't know for others...I personally love this advice/hack . It's so worth it esp for someone like me that hates the feeling of being embarrassed or awkward

I have a better advice. Go to a restaurant where nothing like this even matter and you can enjoy the food whole heartedly.

I really enjoyed this couple! They looked as though they had fun making this video. Manners are there to show respect to others around you. I don’t really think they are straitjacketing your individual style, as some commenters seem determined to take it! The napkin folding at the end was rather strange to add to this.

Love it! Finally a video that gets to the point regarding manners WITH live examples! Even though I enjoyed the napkin folding, I was a bit disappointed it took up half the video. I would have much rather seen more of the first half manners examples all the way through. These should be two separate videos.
What I love about my current boyfriend is he chews with his mouth closed, does not lip snack when drinking things, and for most part does not lick fingers or suck of fingers in place of using napkins or wipes. He does not chew gum, but I trust if he were to, he would not snack it.
