What is the backer you are using? 2 pieces of??? and tape down the middle?

You inspired me to get this puzzle. Finished it one month ago and after watching your video I got some question: Once you applied the Ravensburger glue on the surface, you put the vynil glue in the base of the puzzle, and with that done the puzzle can be moved etc into the frame with no problem? Sorry for the noobish question, but is the first one I make in like 18 years.

@vanrobin333 the puzzle is glued with normal glue for paper/wood..and on the front with ravensburger glue
Congrats! That is freaking awesome and I love your music choice. Nice work with the framing, too. If I did not have our 8 month Labradoodle puppy, I'd do my 9,000 Ravensburger Ancient World Map in our front room, but unlike your cat, he would destroy it in seconds - lol. as is, I have to fence off my table to keep him from chewing up pieces of smaller puzzles. I'll need to fence off that room with a much higher 'training' fence than we have to keep him out. You are a true Jigsaw master. Hail!
Hello, nice job on the puzzle I made this one myself, now I have a problem, I glued it with 3 bottles of ravensburger conserver, flipped it upside down, I have exact size plywood sheet for it but how to stick it with the puzzle? what glue are you using for it? should I ad something on puzzle before sticking them together? sorry for my english, tired to be clear as possible.

thank you. At the moment I'm not planning to use a glass or something because in real the reflection isn't so big. I think that's because of the camera flash..
How did you make the frame?! I just finished Ravensburger's 9000 piece Astrology and I want to get it mounted ASAP but I have NO IDEA how to do it. Suggestions? Yours looks GREAT!

how did you build the frame?
I just received this puzzle and would like to hang it in a similar fashion. What type of backing was attached to the frame? And did you then glue the puzzle to that backing?
Hi Sarah, the backing was normal lightweight wood pieces (2x one for each panel)..I don't know how the material is called in English. I'm building this monster myself. How many people did it take to do it in 1 month?
What sorting processing do you do for hard parts like the sky. It takes me forever so maybe you have some tips because you must be high skill level to do a jigsaw like this so quickly.
I used to sort pieces by color and shape..that was the only chance to get them in place quickly...and a lot of patience..
Il compensato,che in realtà è un altro tipo di legno di cui ora non ricordo il nome è stato spalmato di colla Vynavil su cui è stato incollato il puzzle. Sotto al compensato sono stati fissati dei listelli di legno 20x40 che sporgessero abbastanza da ospitare la cornice che è stata poi inchiodata sui listelli..

It looks so simple to make :D I'we done five puzzles of 3000 piese and Ididn't get the chance to make a bigger puzzle but this looks to be very hard :D Job well done :)

It's called Vinvavil Npc and it's good to glue wood,paper,plastic..almost everything..I used 1kg and some water in it..It did dry very fast so we had to be very fast finding the right position for the puzzle on the board..

panenergo На самом деле я не то чтобы слукавил, а просто на радостях заметил это уже после отправки сообщения - я купил трёшку (всё в одном пакете) и собсно уже рад. По приемлемой цене её тоже весьма тяжело было достать. А 9-ку пока просто физически негде собирать, столько места нет + купить (если только не на Ибей) и доставить до дома весьма и весьма проблематично...
YuriK Охотно верю и одновременно охотно не верю в отсутствие места и в финансовые трудности. Как говорится: кто хочет - ищет возможности, кто не хочет - ищет причины. (ничего личного). Я покупаю на распродажах закрывающихся магазинов. Дома имею двоих детей и собаку таксу, купил лист ДВП 2,5х1.5, прибил на рамку из реек, на стене соорудил крепление на высоте двух метров и после укладки пазлов, с женой, поднимаем на данную высоту.
panenergo В финансы можно не верить, тем более не обязательно брать новый, можно и б/у, но ни разу не собиравшийся. В любом случае во вполне подъёмные деньги можно уложиться. Да и друзья надеюсь помогут с достать. Вот с местом реально полный швах. Детворы у сестры побольше и пока ещё все мелкие, подрастут - будет проще. А в данный момент собираю на кровати (тоже на ДВП) и под неё же прячу результат на ночь) Сейчас купить можно и 6 и 9, но пару лет коробку придётся просто хранить, по форме рассортировать в принципе тоже сразу можно, но без сборки...
p.s. Пиратскую карту (Heye-3000) как раз в данный момент сижу-сортирую)))
YuriK я закончил Равенсбурга (5000), теперь выстраиваю стратегию последовательностей: 6,8, 9, 13, 18, 24, 32,33 тысч.элементов. К сожалению нет особого выбора. Разочаровался, что они разбивают большие пазлы на секторальные мешочки. Даже если я смешаю, всё равно прийдётся "оправдываться" перед аудиторией. Ведь одно дело сложить целый пазл и совсем другое - по секторам....

La domanda che mi affligge con queste dimensioni è: quando incolli il puzzle al pannello, mantiene? Ho paura che una volta appeso si stacchi..cadendo..
aNakin12 regge regge...é appeso ormai da 7 anni..ne abbiamo fatto un altro da 13000 con lo stesso metodo..basta spalmare bene la colla e usare il lato ruvido dei pannelli..

i'm very close to finishing this puzzle, this will be my biggest project yet, i mixed up the two bags then did it as a 9,000 piece puzzle, it was much harder than i thought it would be and has taken most of my university break, my next goal is to finish my main project that i'd semi give up on- Paradise Sunset, 18,000.
That was a challenge mixing them up...I did a 13000 too..there should be a video on my channel..
@sharkyevil I used 2..but I will not use it again..it almost did a disaster to my puzzle..if you need any advice about it just ask..
The puzzle is glued on the front with Ravensburger glue..on the back i put some more glue..it's made for plastic and wood..it's alled vinavyl here..
I began this puzzle 18 month ago and I didn't finished it yet ! Oo
Rest about 700 or 800 pieces... : the right side's sky. I had many breaks of few month, but now I'm full on it.
I use the same technique, howerver it's very very hard to finish this sky !!

Everyone without fear, mix the puzzle bags together!..... Btw this puzzle is a real challenge due to the subtle colour variations over large areas. Have fun

Hello! First, congrats on completing it in such a short period! Second, I need some help: Can you give me some hint on what to complete first, cause I'm kinda stuck right now (I mixed the two bags, and now I'm regretting doing that)? I almost finished that upper right corner with those ropes, and also the middle, with those flames. How did you classify the rest of the pieces? (I classified the sky pieces, but it seems to me like it's the hardest part, so I'm leaving that for the end)
This was the first puzzle I did..I did not follow any matrix I just spent a lot of time on it with my father..and my cat :)
@robbieh369 Just put something underneath the puzzle..like papers..because it passe trough a lot..and don't panic if the surface becomes white for a while..
