Yessss. This is everything I wanted the sims to be. The details are amazing. Lots of consideration has gone into this game so far.

I’m actually planning on recreating my main Sims household into this game since at this point I honestly want nothing to do with Sims 5 after they announced it’s going to be free to play, which is the worst thing that can happen to a game.

this studio understands that simmers care about the actual face of their sims. the attention to detail on the skin alone is impressive. and the preset clothes actually look incredible. you would normally need cc in the sims franchise to get good looking sims, but in the case of inzoi, the base game covers this vital aspect of simming
I would love to see the introduction of tattoos, body marks, moles, scars, birthmarks, etc.
Yh and I would love different heights

Choosing the undertone of skintones is actually such a cool idea, wow! I’d really like that. The game also really needs presets for noses, eyes and all the other separate stuff. At this point all you can do is adjust existing full face presets which is very limiting.

also on the undertone thing, yeah. I have a somewhat strange undertone (I'm cool toned, but my undertone is purple instead of pink) so I'd really love to have more undertone control. I know people with soo many different undertones, it's not as simple as "cool = pink, neutral = minimal undertone, warm = yellow."
I think there could be a slider for skin color (ranging from like, oca1a albinism type white to a very deep brown-black color), and then a color wheel for undertone.
i thiink it would be nice if there's something like 'front hair' and 'back hair' so we can do a more customization for the hairstyles!

One year is very little time. This is most of the game, as they will need months to optimise the game to run on more computers. It does look like a good start/base game though!
I like the skin presets. A slider would be nice but a color wheel is overwhelming
But it would be nice if there would be an option for both color sliders and wheels. Personally I prefer the wheel, as long as you can save colors to your favourites.

Yes definitely agree with hair texture. I would also say more hairstyles for curly and afro hair would be amazing, as well as the skin slider/colour wheel you mentioned. They are must haves!

Totally agreed. You can really tell the development studio is Korean with how much they focused on Korean looks and aesthetics, but honestly the diversity in facial features is a pretty good start. The lack of hair textures is a little upsetting. I don't have super curly hair, but it's definitely curlier than the options they have available at this moment. Would be nice to see more hair styles available!
I hope they expand on the amount of traits you can have. That's one thing that feels so limited in the sims 4! We all typically tend to have more than 3-5 traits to us, it would be awesome to have the ability to have more to really round out the personalities!

This because I do have some qualms about ai art generation being ethical or not. I wish they had like image importation and you could edit the image with a mesh
what im gathering so far is makeup isnt optimised for darker/ deeper skin tones which is disappointing but hopefully could be improved

The makeup presets seemed to work well with the character she was showcasing. Keep in mind she was playing with the colourwheel, which can get wonky very quickly. Naturally, I feel colourwheels are bound to have unnatural looks the brighter and more intense you make it.

The module clothing is great! Also I understand that their primary market is not NA, so I'm not surprised there are are almost no kinky curly hairstyles. Hopefully when they branch out more they will add some.

Thank you for this deep dive into character creation. I am very interested in this game but I agree that they need to add more textured hairs and larger body types without any clipping. I have not seen RUclipsrs from all cultures and backgrounds having an opportunity to explore the game and give feedback. I hope the company is getting feedback from everyone. Fingers crossed this game had deep gameplay and that we get our hands on it soon! Great video! Give us more! LOL 🤩
Larger body-types without clipping is practically an impossibility because you either need a sytematically procedural IK rig, or you have to manually adjust ALL of the character animations by hand to account for the larger body size. I think sticking with what they have works best if they want something that looks good and runs well and avoids clipping issues, plus it gives the character design team more leeway in adding tons of animations, reactions, poses, and more for the character models they do have.
Personally i want this game to add more ways to make character less asian. Definitely not against it but i want this game to be a real competitor to the sims and limiting is basically staying in a nish and i love everything about this game so it needs to succeed

@jaybee4288 thing is this is not a pack it's a whole game trailer. So showing diversity is a must. Packs I don't mind for example now with the for rent it is a asian pack and we here for it.
By the way, I hope i(Inzoi) stay asian centric since it brings a fresh o uniqueness to it. I just wish they showed more in the announcement trailer

This game is made by a Korean company. What were you expecting? Korea isn’t a heterogenous society like countries in the West. I’m black and I’m not mad at all. As a matter of fact they have better options in diversity than the SIMs anyway.

What is the genetics like? For example, will choosing blue hair mean that it is part of the character's genetics and therefore be a passed-on trait? Will they expand the sliders or allow mods? Can the makeup be assigned to certain outfits? And can clothes/outfits be assigned to certain events or tasks?
Love the realistic graphics 😍 I just wish you could drive cars in this game.

It has great protentional and offers a more realistic option than the cartoonish style found in the Sims 4. The main downside is due to alpha type style catering to more straight hair, the diversity is limiting. The game seams a bit more geared to a certain area of Asian culture. At least from what is shown in regards to the presets. The presets does not have the wider nose found in Filipino, African, and Hawaiian culture (other people as well these are just at the top of my head). Even though Filipinos are a part of the Asian community they are rarely represented in popular games coming out of Asia. It is noted about from @RachelPedd about the hair. I am interested to see how they will do kinky textures. At least in alpha content from the Sims 4, it is very rare for kinky hair to actually look good. The default is always an afro or a random braid style. A lot of African American women have their hair in its natural state, though use braids for protective hairstyles, so it is a bit disheartening that only braids are seen. But again this is early development and I look forward to seeing what else they do.
They are definitely focusing on what's most popular in the market that will likely buy the game, which is smart. A lot of Western devs focus on fringe markets who don't buy the game, so games like Redfall or Deathloop or Dishonored Death of the Outsider are geared towards the people you mentioned, but sold poorly because they make up a very tiny portion of the market.

To be fair, they can always add more later. For a studio in Korea and focused on the Asian market (I think it makes the game stand out and unique instead of "generic Western simulator #102 with facsimilies of cultures with fake representation (SIMS4)" I am fine with the amount of stuff they have currently at this stage of development. Glad they even added darker skin tones right at the start at all.
It looks so gorgeous. But I often find myself being a bit greedy when it comes to characters looking lifelike. I want the hair to move! I’m sure it must be graphically intensive or something but it would be awesome. It’s especially noticeable since the characters often run their hand through their hair but for what? 😅

For the body shapes can you pull on the sides around the waist and hips like how you are able to with the cheeks and chin on the face?
I'm superrr excited for this game. But we def need more skin tones. Hopefully, it's not an afterthought. Hopefully it won't take 6yrs to fix/get more like a certain company -cough cough-

The clothes is probably the most amazing part of this. I don’t think I ever seen this amount of customization with clothes in a game other than WWE games which and be limited in types of clothes because it’s a wrestling game.
I'm hoping the just release the character creator at some point before the full game is released. Give us something to chew on for a bit! Hell, I'll take it now!
I think if your body weight is not represented at 100 you probably have more immediate matters in life to attend to other than your weight being displayed inaccurately in a video game.
This might be weird, but I wonder while life simulation games never add veins to their characters. It would go hand and have with the muscle slider tbh!

Personally the largest fat scale is enough, too much could negatively impact gameplay and animations with objects. The face should represent the body though which it doesnt.
I’ve seen others where you have to change the fullness of the face separately so if they do both to the maximum for example it should balance out better. - but it might also be something they fix in the future.
Honestly I’m just gonna make a Korean and live my best K-Pop life working at the convenience store 😬. I love that it’s like sims but not a clone like the others, it has its own vibe!
I think online would be cool, Maybe not online throughout the whole thing but in certain spots. Such as the bars or basketball courts and we could probably play basketball matches with actual scores and you get a reward that could help you in the game someway? like maybe different activities in the online spots could be playable with the other players there.

I will be controversial and say the colour presets available are completely fine. There is a good enough range, and the colours are stunning. But the main reason I say this is because it would be nice for them to introduce *proper genetics* and the algorithm for the children, same with eyes. That would be extremely difficult or completely random if we added a color wheel.

They do have very light and very dark skin tones but there are many distinct tones between presets that could be added.

i would be ok with colour wheel for skin tones if there is also a set of presets. just the wheel would be to much ion my mind and can be overwhelming and frustrating if you end up with weird colours. in general, i would like to see more colour presets and not just the wheel. or at least have an option to make out own presets/favourite colours.

This game looks so good! And I was really surprised to see pupil size being something you can customise. I have really big pupils, which always make my face look unrecognisable whenever they’re not to size. So that’s a very niche detail that I personally enjoy!
It seems they've mostly gone for more stylish, contemporary styles of clothing, which I hope they don't stick with later down the line. Some simpler styles would be nice, and especially some more vintage fashion for older sims. I haven't seen much that would really suit an elderly character.

As a mixed curly girl, would do ANYTHING for a hair texture wheel 😭😭😭 They never give us cute long hairstyles to choose from. Curly hair can also be long too 🥲
I don't deny that this game looks amazing. I'm not going to get my hopes up until I know more about the game play and social interactions. Even though I feel that the Sims team has dropped the ball a lot lately, they still set the bar for how a game like this should work.

The skin tone range is damn good. Still better than the Sims minus the skin tone mods.

Why is the female body option always "body 2" or "option 2" instead of the first one. Also, I wish they could just call it male and female. "Body type" is confusing as it makes it sound like it refers to skinny/muscular/fat
Good point, same goes with Type A B, they should just use male, female like commonsense.
@@chariothe9013agreed. It feels especially important for a life sim game. I think Sims 4 does it well enough where you choose male or female but also have an extra menu with extended options for anyone who wants that.
I think the idea is that players can use either body type for either gender. E.g. you can choose Type 2 but have male pronouns, voice, etc. The problem is that they don't commit, such as by allowing a totally flat chest on Type 2, or allowing breast on Type 1.

I don’t like the fact we can’t upload our own images as textures instead of using ai, I wouldn’t have a problem with that being a feature if we had the choice to use our own png images, especially for stuff like the handmade artwork artists made that they’d wanna use in the game
I really hope this game will have actual body sliders for legs, arms, breasts, hips, waist, etc... Games don't give you freedom to make a character you want, only what they want you to make.

I’m worried we won’t get tattoos because it’s an East Asia developer, and I think piercings and tattoos aren’t as accepted there. But if they do decide to add them, it would be really cool to make an editor like in the game APB where you can mix and match tattoos and drag them across the body wherever you want.

You can tell the team put a lot of work into the character creator and I’m loving what’s there so far. To echo some of the thoughts from the life sim community, I’d love to see a wider spectrum of representation. Specifically with ethnic/kinky hair options. Also, I agree that the body fat should go way, way higher and be realistically pushed to the face, neck, stomach, and legs a lot more.
This is the kinda stuff that killed the sims, asking it to cater to small groups rather than every player. I hope they just stick with Korean avatars only and tell y’all to take it or leave it. The entitlement of black and gay simmers is off the charts.

@illizcit1533 It does not expand the appeal, because catering to such a tiny group does not result in automatic sales. We see this with every single AAA title catering to that group with their new titles and these games just bombing. Redfall, Forspoken, and Gears 5 all catered to these small groups and bombed drastically; a lot of other games have as well, such as Deathloop and Back 4 Blood to name a few. Games like Genshin Impact have sold like crazy because it caters to people who actually care about the game rather than people who yell loudly on social media but don't actually buy the games they demand include these features less than 1% of people care about.
How can someone get a beta version? Because I want to ser how it works in this stage to compare between the developed version with the final one.

I hope there are more body shapes and sliders. Not just in regards to weight, but also the shape itself. E.g. so a male character can have a more feminine or androgynous appearance. And yes, it says Body Type 1 and 2 rather than male and female, however since the Type 2 always has breasts it's clearly meant as female rather than just feminine.
This game looks so amazing! I must be one of the few POC who don't care that I'm playing a Korean based game, this already looks more in depth than the sims and we didn't even have to argue with the developers for weather and babies.
They’re little black hairstyles yet I hope more gets added or just tighter curls, esp. once that do look good and realistic I’m not the biggest fan of the current braids in game
