Welcome to vlog episode 1 from our second MSC Virtuosa UK cruise, filmed in September - her final UK round trip cruise.
This vlog we will bring you along as we board MSC Virtuosa in Southampton and what we get up to on our first evening, including a visit to Hola Tacos and Cantina - This new fast-casual street food dining concept offers a selection of Latin American and Mexican-inspired dishes and drinks to be shared and enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
After visiting a couple of other venues, we call it a night. We hope you enjoyed following us on our first day!
*We paid a total of £880 for this cruise. This included Tips and the Premium drinks package. All experiences have been paid for by ourselves, including the upgrade to the Premium Plus.

About us:
We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini break on P&O Aurora, since then we have been on lots of cruise holidays.
We like making videos of our cruises to share with you, on our channel you will find ship tours, cabin tours and fun vlogs of our day to day activities on a cruise.

Oh wow no drinks when you get on, but an aft cabin does make up for it. Lol love your bag system...you should copyright that lol! Agree the LED shows are really impressive. Hola was our favourite food too!

I love your giddiness on having your first drink on the ship. I've never seen anyone use plastic bags to pack, but that's an incredibly smart idea, especially for soft shelled luggage. The ship was beautiful, especially what looked like the promenade. Great job boys as always and Dilly Dilly!!!!

Hello there you 2, Just watched this post , Im new to your channel, By lad I love that you enjoy your drinks, Men after mine and my hubbys own hearts.!!! We have only been on one MSC cruise and i agree that the pizzas are the best at sea. The ships are so shiny and sparkling and i found all the food fab. Looking forward to catching up on all the other vlogs now.

Ah, I think you must have been on Virtuosa at almost the same time I was on Silhouette - we were docked exactly the same way as in this video, so potentially the same day!

Haha! Thanks for watching. The ships have lots of bling, we were not sure when we first went on Preziosa but they have grown on us.
Omg the number of people on board was horrendous. We were on the ship in may when there was 1000 limit! We were spoiled I think, the queues you experienced for a drink were ridiculous ! How we’re you so patient particularly that boarding fiasco , omg MSC need to get their act together. We experienced something like that with an MSC from Venice a few years ago their embarkation procedure was 😢
Yes, we were on the maiden which was under 1000, we were definitely spoilt. While it was frustrating, we always make the best of it and try to enjoy as much as possible. If all else fails. We've sailed Bellissima and Seaside at full capacity and they were not as bad.

Yes, it defiantly was worth it, as the package was included, we just paid the £12 pppd to upgrade and you could have anything then :) Packages have since changed :(

We haven't tried an aft facing cabin yet, but its definitely on the to do list 😍

Haha, we always over pack, we usually end up with quarter of them coming back clean. Say on a 7 day cruise, we'll take a tshirt for each day and maybe another 2 or 3 'just in case' hahaha :)
That last ship you couldn't identify looks like a Regent Seven Seas ship. Now, back to the video....

Love the vlog. Have you ever priced up how much the drinks would have cost individually compared to the package?
On the UK cruises last year, the premium package was included, so we paid the extra £12 per person per day to upgrade to the Premium Plus. We usually budget £50 per person per day on drinks, so if the package is less than that we know it is worth it for us. It does depends on drink prices too obviously :)
Hey lads - got the virtuosa booked for May this year can't wait! Did you need to provide a pcr test prior to boarding? I wasnt sure if they had changed their procedures or not!
We had to do a lateral flow before embarkation day and on boarding day. We we’re both fully vaccinated too but I can’t remember off the top of my head the exact procedures but things are changing all the time so it’s always worth checking! Episode 2 of our second Virtuosa cruise goes live tonight at 7 😉 we’re sure your going to have a great time!

what month did you travel on this cruise ive booked for feb will it be too cold to travel this month
This was filmed in sept 21 think it was about the 11th. Feb could be cold but at least Virtuosa has an indoor pool, all the pools are heated too as are the waterslides( the chilly part is climbing up the steps to have more goes!)
It won’t be hot, but we’ve sailed through the channel during the winter months and still had a good time. You might be lucky and have some sunshine! 🤞🏻

If you want to sail from U.K I’d say the summer is best for warmer weather May -sept however you can get winter sun itineraries to the med or canaries or sometimes Caribbean (usually about 4weeks for no fly Caribbean cruises) these U.K departing cruises are usually 14 nights as you have to sail down to the Med or Canary Islands bear in mind the weather doesn’t start to improve until about 2/3 days into the cruise and during winter the bay of biscay can be very rough.
If your happy to fly any Med, Caribbean or Arabian gulf Dubai cruises should be good 👍🏻

We usually book directly with the cruise line or our TA
Was there any activation cruise card machines
Yes, you have a few of them dotted around, usually around the reception area :)

You just tap your cruise card and then follow the instructions to register a credit card. It’s quite easy abs if you get stuck there are usually staff nearby on the first day. You may also be able to do it via the app :)

Yes, there is a selection of mocktails available - best to get one before you go in to the dining room as you may have to wait
