Just discovered this camera and very interested, but I REALLY don't trust the pull/push waterproof cap. A well greased grommet or o-ringed screw top would be infinitely preferable...
@@carlpasha it’s perfectly fine you just need to make sure the rubber seal that goes around the cap isn’t all scrunched up when you push it in, pushing it and then giving it a little pull out and push back in again makes sure it’s all tight well fitted. As long as you don’t rush it there is no issues honestly but I agree and screw cap or similar is more ideal!
You’re welcome buddy it can be annoying as hell keep getting the same lights and not knowing what they mean 😅 It nearly got launched more than once when I first got it 😬
Good informative video thank you, how are you getting on with it ? I want to get one as i enjoy filming but im worried about losing it in snags or weed in ponds or rivers etc . Do you have any advice ? Thank you.
Hey 👋🏻 thanks for watching I appreciate that. Yeah I’m really enjoying and it adds a whole new dimension to my filming and fishing and it’s so simple to use it really is. As long your line is strong you won’t lose it but depending on what you’re trying to film there’s a number of ways you can rig it including putting weak links in line so it snaps below the camera etc. What are you intending to film with it?
Not sure if you have seen them but I have been dragging this along the bottom fishing, I have a few videos on my channel and it’s always been retrieved no issues, I have a vid called Billy’s banks on here which you may like and gives an idea of how it looks and acts
Thanks for reply, I will look at your other vids . I am into filming or photographing wildlife in general , but i have always had a fascination with what is going on unseen under water. I have a go pro on a stick, but this goes further and deeper. But there lies my worry of unseen snags to tangle in. I want to film all sorts of fish rather than catch them, so no hooks, but they will be mostly from local ponds or river. My partner will use it for fishing though.
@naturenut9505 you won’t have any issues in lakes or rivers, you will have to play about with the weights to get the buoyancy right but you can feed an area with some bait and then set the camera above it or flat on the bottom amongst it and have zero issues I reckon. Others have filmed sharks and conger eels using this on their rigs so as long as you are sensible there won’t be any issues
Hi, found this via Fishing with CJ channel who recommended it. Could you tell me whether, without any lead fitted, it sinks or floats. In Seawater? In Freshwater? Thanks.
Good morning Parker thanks for coming over! From memory as I haven’t tried for a while they sink slowly without weights but I will test again and come back to you!
That’s correct mate yes which is a shame as that’s something I would be really interested in but not sure how well it would work for people like me who fish in 200ft of water 😅
@lounisdehani2950 Hi 👋🏻 I don’t currently but I was given recently to try out a “Westin Escape Cam” and that comes with a memory card reader that allows you to check footage there and then on the boat or Bankside etc which is handy but for Bluetooth not as yet
@lounisdehani2950 the only underwater cameras with live viewing are the chinese underwater cameras or the underwater drones. Cameras like these just can't omit Bluetooth or wi fi through the water if it's a function they provide. In my videos I have these camera's showing actually fish up close and the differences
Happy new year mate, it’s about a year old, I bought it but never used it, got a mini sd recently an tried to get it going…. But it’s not turning on at all, flashes green on an of while charging.. any idea what the problem is?
@stiofain4693 what memory card have you bought to go in it? Is it a proper one or a cheap knock off mate as I had similar with a cheap SD card it didn’t like it, once I put a proper SD card in from scan disc it worked, they can also only have a memory card up to a certain size, I think 64GB
It’s a 32GB Lexar from Amazon… maybe Il try another to see does it help, I’ve seen comments on dodgy Sd cards… hopefully this helps.. very much appreciated mate
The SD card is the problem yes! I have actually been using the waterwolf 2.0 for quite some time. On my second one now after losing the first one due to a ridiculous mistake on my part. Believe it or not about a week or so ago I recieved a lexar card from amazon too and it did not work for me either. So you should be golden after getting a better name brand sd card. @@stiofain4693
Looks like a great bit of kit. Would be great if they could create an enclosure for the camera which would replace a cigar type float.. wait up, I'm going to patent that idea lol. Copyright SeaCatch3 😂
Love watching the footage from my waterwolf and the things you see underwater are unreal especially when i but it on mackerel fishing.
I need to get it rigged for when I’m Turbot fishing really and see what it picks up as that would be an interesting watch!
Great info there Ben for anyone looking to purchase one no doubt this will help people out.
Will be interesting to see this in use. 👍🏻
Bit of a slower video this one but times are hard at the minute footage wise 😂
But it’s a great set up for the money it really is

@@theamputeeangler Thanks for your advice, have ordered one and looking forward to having a play with it. Fingers crossed for some good footage.

@@theamputeeangler Many thanks
Let me guess, I can use the reader to upload to my phone as well right?
That’s not somthing I have tried myself, all of my footage goes to my IPad but I’m sure there’s a way of doing that to your phone aswell 🙏🏻
Am I correct in thinking there is no Bluetooth function to look at the bottom in live?

Nice mate but I still wouldn't put it down on a wreck mate, maybe on the turbot banks would be good😂
Wreck wreck wreck 😂
Mate the way we fish, you need 30 waterwolf for a trip haha
@@johnnguyen3468 you ain’t wrong 😂😂 might just take it to the sea life centre instead 😎😂
Hi mate I’m having issues with mine, won’t turn on but lights up while charging.. 🤯 bought through Amazon.. any help very welcome

That’s no an issue I have ever experienced with mine to be honest, how old is the camera?

@theamputeeangler I would say this time next year I'll be a millionaire, but in reality I'd still be trying to get the camera out of the packaging 😂😂
