Here are some video clips from an epic session last week, the waves were absolutely beautiful. I had SUP Surf coaching scheduled with my friend Jesse, so I wanted to make sure we found some good waves away from the crowds! My approach to SUP Surf coaching is to surf with you, figure out what you are doing right and wrong, and work with that to make you better one skill at a time. One approach I have with my students is to have them shadow me and put them on the choice waves I would usually pick. This day the surf was absolutely firing. If I put Jesse on a good one, I was also going to get a good one. Not every lesson is that epic where I am scoring too, but at least you'll get the wave I usually would!! Jesse has been surfing his whole life and paddle surfing for about 4. I recommend that anyone approaching SUP surfing for the first time, have some surfing experience already, longboard or shortboard, and if you don't, please go get some hahaha for all of us!!!! I have been doing coaching with and without video feedback. Video feedback definitely has it's benefits, so stoked we were filming this session!!

Great video thx! I'm down for a lesson when you make it to France! I'm surfing a 125 liter board, I'm 6-4 / 191 pounds. I'm thinking to buy a lower volume board, I tried a 90liter one but it was almost impossible to stand up on with conditions being a bit choppy. What volume would you recommend?

Anthony, can you do more content on different boards (Cuatro Carve Pro, Sunova etc), and do more in depth analyses of different sizes, talk about each dimension (width vs length vs thickness), CL vs body weight and rail shape and thickness?
Dig it!!! A video can really help reveal a LOT about ones technique and what to work on. Been trying to get my lady to come film me one of these days.

Yea video always helps! But it's usually not want we initially wanted to see haha or expected at least 🤣 this spot is usually insanely crowded, had lucky timing for once
