I’m up in Michigan, was using a black frog on a blue bird sky day in lily pads, out of the 5 or 6 blow ups I had, I landing two bass, both dinks, I was ecstatic lol
Haven’t gotten on a frog bite yet this year. Trying a few (new for me) frogs this year, but the pad crasher is still my go to, can’t beat it for the price.
Debo, i cannot wait to see the difference in hookset from the bank, boat and kayak. My son and i are thinking on buying a double seater kayak so yur video will be appreciated as always. Tight lines brothers from a cold South Africa today.
I've been throwing a frog for the last 2 months can't get enough, I really still love that Lunkerhunt Kraken frog,i stock up whenever I find them online.
Great video Debo! I see a ton of that weedy grassy stuff. Almost everywhere I go in Florida is like that. Can you do a video about what to throw when you have grass vs sand vs rocks?
Every year I debate using a MH vs a H power rod for frogs… I always come back to the MH as it is less fatigue and I can cast more accurately with it. I live in the PNW so other than Lilly pads we don’t have heavy grass mats to pull fish through.
Got 2 bass from bank on frogs last outing. Nothing big but I’m finally getting the hang of waiting to set the hook until I feel the weight of the fish. From kayak another story-I keep missing fish, I think due to yak moving and me not getting a good hookset. Main problem is I have a tippy narrow kayak and am afraid to really give em the beans cause I’ve tipped the thing doing that.
Favorite frogs 1. Jackall kaera 2. Jackall gavacho 3. Deps slither k 4. Deps buster k 5. Tekel Qlinker Thank you Deebo for the dope video as always. Keep your hooks sharp and your line wet. I hope you slam them this year on the frog. I love anything top water it’s my favorite way to catch them.
Been on a good frog bot at my local pond here in western NY. Also made the switch to 50 pound braid from 65 on my frog and punch setup. No issues so far and the grass comes in pretty gnarly here! Awesome video Debo!
No frog fish this year yet but I'm still trying it. I sure enjoyed your froggin video Debo. I will watch every frog video you ever make even if you don't catch them. love your videos, thank you.
I'm hoping for a repeat of last year's bass opener 18 days from now. I was able to catch frog feesh, followed by SPRO Rat feesh, followed by Spook feesh, and ended the top water portion of the day with some popper feesh. 🤤
I use 30 lb if im only fishing under trees or around wood. If im in grass im going with 50 or 65. If i could pick one bait to catch fish on it would definitely be a frog. My favorite is the booyah pad crasher in white. 👍👊
Got my first ever frog fish last weekend it was such a blast. In the THICK pads. Kayak is all I know but interested to hear your thoughts on hooksets from it 👍
Frog days, none better. I had that happen in April at like noon. Bluegill were everywhere near the surface so tied on a frog and blow ups ensued. …. My favorite frog is the SK poppin perch in warmouth. The ones i have are soft and nice hook gap when compressed. … I’m on the hunt for a soft non popping frog. The spro frogs I’ve bought are all too firm.
@@chrisrus53the swamp lord is great! Gamblers frogs are my favorite you wont find a softer frog but both are pretty pricey. Strike king is very solid for half the price.
I was thinking of getting that p line no fade braid. Is it smooth and is it a good casting braid ? I use power pro v2 for years and I love it but really I like the fact that the p line is guaranteed no fade
Frog days already!? For some reason I feel like my fishing brain is a few weeks behind schedule this year. Probably missed all sorts of good bites in the last month.
I also am a frog fan. Been on em a few weeks now. I’ve had good luck with the LunkerHunt Compact Frog.. I know LH catches a lot of shit but that’s a solid frog.
Awesome video! As much as I love the hollow body frogs this spring I tried out the Zman Goat Toadz and man they are excellent. I seem to get better hookup with them than the traditional hollow body. YMMV
@@MultiGunner65 Cool thanks for the tip! I was gonna try a belly weighted swimbait hook with screw-lock, get extra distance, maybe get the tails to sink a little on the pause😎
Random non frog queation.... Got some good clearance sales on 13 Fishing soft plastics ($3 a pack). Any I should grab specifically? I picked up churros and the jerks so far.
Bahahahahah we thought it would be a jerkbait bite. Man, that grass and stuff came in quick! I'm loaded on frogs now. I did just order a bunch of UL stuff...🤦♂️
30lb sucks. 40lb is better for a doitall that you can use to throw buzzers and still frogs it all but the heaviest junk. can throw ploppers or walking baits with a mono leader as well
I don't understand how you catch bluegill bass. I've been following you for over 3 years. I'm in NY long Island. We use 20 ld braid with a 30ld leader, For 20-30 striped bass. I think your line is ridiculous for 3 a max of a three pound bass. The big line will affecting the movement of your lure. Try downsizing your line for a 3lb bass instead of a 30 lb striped bass or bluefish. I can almost guarantee you will catch the bigger and smarter fish

Swamp Lord this year! And Launch Frog still in my rotation. Third for me is currently the Spro bronzeye Believe it’s the 70 popping
This is my favorite time of year! Legit been going almost every evening catching on frogs since the last week of April, here in Oklahoma.
a white spro popping frog has been putting in work here in pennsylvania! glad to see a white frog is working in iowa too!

Made the change to 50lb on my frog combo last year and it's been great! It casts noticeably further, which is great for bank angling.

Snagproof Bobby's Perfect frog is best i've tried - soft with great hook angle out of the box.

I'll have to give the Kaera another go. I fished it a couple times and wasn't impressed. I know a lot of folks love it though

Nice frogfish I’ve had a couple blowups, but I haven’t got one yet, but I got one tight on for tomorrow
Here in Nebraska, caught my first frog fish of the year this week. I'm with Deebo- definitely the best way to catch them!
I matched my pb at 5 lb 9 oz on a black spro poppin frog. Fish a bunch of ponds in the jasper county area, glad to see another Iowa fisherman
Awesome! Go hawks!

Any frog in a pinch! 😂 I don’t remember being particularly impressed with the DC (dual chamber) frog in spite of really liking the idea.
Heck ya Debo!!!! You got me all amped up 👊All hail the frog!!!
You should be good with 50lb braid for froggin. That’s all I use and I’ve had no issues. Get a bit longer casts which makes it nice. Good luck!
#frogs4ever ! Couldnt agree more. Nothing more fun!
Pretty good hookup ratio with that Savage Gear frog.
It’s time to start my grind to be the next subscriber fishing friend. Locking in boys 🫡
Good video Debo, love a frog bite also🤛

My man!
Debo I used the Berkley powerbait beat'n paddle frog in black for 2 seasons now. Nice and small.
LOL - That first frog fish went on a Dizzle type hook set ride.

Consider the Berkley Swamp Lord popping frog. Super soft, great action, and a fantastic hook up.

The popping perch was good for me years ago. Cool twist on the frog!
Not much on the Frog and I’ve only really tried the Booyah Pad Crasher. Great Video my Friend.
great video and great fishing!! new subscribers! have a good evening and week.
I have yet to get on a frog bite, but it's coming!
Pretty cool skip into that area. I have yet to skip a bait
Yo u may have missed the fish but that frog skip at 7:24 was $!
Hahaha man, I was so mad because I called the shot too. Just missed the fish 😪

So far it has been. That super slick is hard to beat on spinning.
No frog bites yet. In the middle of a move, so not much fishing going on 😕 Black frog for me too, but white worked for you. ✌️
I totally thought I clicked on an NDYakAngler video but was pleasantly surprised by Debo 😆♥️
Appreciate ya still watching even though it was my ugly mug!
I have got to get myself out to frog fish !, being on the D.L. this year is out, but next summer, if all goes well !!!
Fishing in illinois 2 weeks ago and I slayed a 3lber on my KVD pearl white sexy frog.
That frog fish got launched into orbit! Love to see it. Great vid fella!
Right! Hahaha
Frog night
Nice frog fish. It inspires me to somehow catch a bass on a hollow body frog someday. Odds are it has to work at some point right?
I haven't caught a frog fish in a long time. Surprisingly on a spinning rod with 12lb mono, in very clean open water.
Who doesn’t like throwing a frog? Have you tried the Jackall Bounty fish?
I did a couple times, wasn't my deal though
@@DEBOSFishing I just picked up a pack but haven’t tried them yet. I’m hoping for some big blowups in the Lilly pads

Hmm I don't think I've used any of their soft baits

My frog rod is actually a Googan gold heavy. The messed up thing about it is it printed 7’5’ on the rod but only measures 7’ pretty messed up.🤨
good stuff
Only one frog in your bag Debo? Please don’t tell me the rest that were ole drop shot or maybe a bunch of BFS/UL gear?
