    i have a full lion setup the panels are extremely durable and simple to set up. THE BEST thing about lion Energy is their service. if anything, ever arises they are their regular business hours and will do anything needed to get you up and running their service is 100%

    Anderson connectors are set differently to prevent users from accidentally plugging directly into your gear or batteries. When I run Anderson connectors on solar, I use green/black to ensure that when hooking up, there is no confusion about what is coming from the panel into the MPPT and what is going to the battery. Goal Zero also stacks the Anderson to keep users from incorrect wiring.

    I just saw Lion Energy at Costco, and their solar panels do come with beautiful carrying protective zipped case. You may want to check it out again.

      Thank you Anthony, I got my Panel Last year. I am guessing they got feedback and added a case. I will check it out, I appreciate that feedback.

      @@RVKevin You may want to check with your local Costco locations to see when their representatives will come to your local Costco. They do have special package deals. One of the package deals comes with three set of solar panels with padded zipped carrying case. I spoke with the representative and he said he would be at my local Costco for a week and until this Sunday, then he would go to another Costco location.

    I have 400 watts on the roof of rv, 313 amp hours of safari ut1300 lithium batteries, 40 amp charge controller mppt. Your right, in the shade you need more. So we have a fold up 200 watt panel we lay out in sun. With a 20 amp charge controller mppt. Seems to help. We look at our Victron battery monitor via Bluetooth and say to each other do we need the generator or not. We like to top them off before bedtime. Anyway nice video, good day Kevin👍🏻🇺🇸

      Very nice setup that you have, i know that feeling of topping off the batteries, especially during the Winter season when it is darker longer. I am really looking forward to upgrading to lithium soon for our camper, Thank you for the nice words and for watching.

    Thanks for the unbiased review; that's always more credible than the alternative. You might consider changing the several instances of "solder" to "solar" for this video. ;-)

    Can these anderson pugs be left connected outside with no protection? these do not seem to be waterproof. Thank you.

    • @RVKevin
      @RVKevin  2 года назад +3

      As a ham radio operator, I can tell you that the plus are NOT water proof, if you must leave them outside for long duration's, you can use electrical tape or even wrap a plastic sandwich bag around them. Even with that downside, I believe Anderson power pole connectors are one of the best designs are made for fast power connecting.

      @@RVKevin I will wrap a plastic bag around it along with some tape then. Thank you very much for answering.

    Hello I would like to change my ends on my Lion Solar Panel to able to use on any type battery with the alligator clips can you show me how to do this? Thanks Khris

    • @RVKevin
      @RVKevin  2 года назад +1

      @Khris, your going to add alligator clip connectors to the Solar Charge Controller and not the solar panel. Typically you losses the screws on the output of the SCC . I hope that helps in some way
