Lots of gorgeous glaze combinations. Amaco Mayco and spectrum glazes. Layering techniques and a test bowl of the phase glazes plus w light flux. More playing with hand painted underglaze patterns with a cute koala! Enjoy my muddy people xx
Gnorm the gnome jungle gems jacket is jazz notes!!
I love the hat on the gnome. It looks weathered. 😊
Another great load ladies! The large bowls were both beautiful. Great idea with the sippy cups turning them into heart shapes. Trace, I'm so glad you've found some relief!
Thanks Pat, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
I am so happy to hear Tracy is feeling relief from her back operation 🥰 what a gorgeous kiln unload 🤩
Thanks, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
Brilliant news about Trace!! An exciting kiln opening!! That leaf bowl. definitely worth waiting for. ❤❤.
I also follow Jeanette love her.....her organisational skills are totally amazing.
Thanks, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
Awh thanks Jan for the lovely words, my organisational traits do have their benefits but hubby may say otherwise at times lol x
So happy for you, Trace, to be relatively pain-free! ❤
Great kiln unload, Sista! Nice to see the Amaco Floatings! Yup!, that bowl on the end, WOW! Congrats!👏
Thanks Audrey pretty happy with it!!
Thanks Audrey, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
So pleased to hear that Trace has had a successful surgery. Wow!! No pain how friggin awesome is that.
And Trace tell a story while we wait. LOL. I had to laugh when Nat said that.
And love that you shared the family photo of Gnome. Those old gnomes are so creepy cute so to say.
Jeanette from far forest is so great.
So particular and organized, especially with her glaze chips. WOW. Most people throw the whole lot in one jar. But......... each individual colour has its own little pot. Plus her reactions when opening a kiln. All you RUclips pottery gal's show your excitement and enthusiasm when doing a kiln opening. So wonderful to watch.
Lots of great pieces again. The large bowl at the end is magnificent.
Happy potting.
Thanks Evelyn yes her editing is amazing too and dual camera! I have some jungle gems chips I can’t wait to play with. Of course all mixed together lol
Thanks Evelyn, Nat freaked me out when she said tell a story. Almost as bad as being in front of the camera 😂. Now all I need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
@Tjsclaycreations oh I’ll have to do it more then 😂😂😂
@@Tjsclaycreations I hope you get into playing with clay as soon as possible. I'm sure you'll create something wonderful
@@mudmagic407 ummmm no thanks
Bet thed skinny plastic sraw will elok. Pretty kiln load.
The leaf bowl... *chef's kiss* Fantastic!
Chefs kiss hahaha u do make me laugh!! I even got a mental image!
@@mudmagic407 I'm even wearing the tall, white chef's hat haha
Beautiful unload! That last bowl !❤
Thanks Lisa so glad i continued on with it!
WOA! That swirly vase is GORGEOUS!!!
Ahhhh it died on grinding but I’m doing it again!!
@@mudmagic407 hahahahaha I know the feeling! Off to the broken pots cemetery 😆
So happy for you Trace! I pray you continue to recover quickly.
Thanks, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
The "real" Gnorm looks like he enjoys a tipple now and then 😅
So glad your feeling better Trace.
Thanks Susan, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
What a fab Kiln opening! Some amazing results with the new glazes too! Love your energy and enthusiasm and so pleased to hear that surgery went so well and recovery is progressing so well Trace. Thanks so much for the shout out guys! But oh you made me laugh here thinking of you both binge watching my non stop chatter, squeels and the way my mind works. I remember those cones sticking to my pottery and being quite disappointed when they broke off LOL, that seems so long ago. I am from England living in the middle of a beautiful forest in a country village called Far Forest :) SO pleased to have found your channel and I can now promise that I will be working my way through your channel every evening instead of browsing Netflicks LOL Lovely to meet you virtually both, and looking forwards to more kiln openings :) xxxx Sending big hugs from across the pond, Jeanette xx
Oh me tooooo!!! I’m making my way through yours you make me laugh so much! Far forest sounds beautiful! Thankyou for watching Jeanette xx
@@mudmagic407 ditto! Can't wait to watch more and get inspired x
Hi Nat and Trace, great to see you! Trace I am soo glad to hear you are feeling good! Hope you can get back to pottery and being in the videos in person soon❤
Jeanette is lovely, yes she is from
England, I do love her happy squeals😅
Love the cookie mugs, she about gnom the gnomes beard, but the new knew one is fab😊
I love that sloping mug, the Peacock is lovely on it. Love the bones inside the cookie mug.
No sneaky peaks😮 hurry up girls get the lid open😂...
Ahhhh kitty cat mug❤ The first bowl😮 wow it ran so with the snow too, it looks beautiful. The squash vase is yumminess itself❤ the koala mug is soooo cute❤
We have hedgehogs in the UK too 😊
The pastel jug is so pretty, I think thr honey flux has changed the colour of the Kim chi and the purple. The phases yarn bowl 😮
Wow that raised transfer is gorgeous ❤ the tourmaline looks beautiful and love the straw holder.
The purple heart shaped one looks fab! I'm surprised the pearl white sangria didn't run more. The honey flux river birch sangria pastel one looks like ice cream on a warm day. Try getting silicone straws as they will fit better as flexible. Wow love the fused cookie one ❤
Love the last yarn bowl with the river birch.
Wooooow the last bowl is a win win win looks like a marble you didamazing with that one❤❤❤
Fantastic kiln opening Nat❤❤❤
Thanks Julia! Great tip re straws! Soooo happy w last bowl!!
Thanks Julia, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
As always Julia thanks for the lovely words, as a fellow UK potter its so rewarding to get feedback and share highs and lows with each other. Been missing you on RUclips, hope to see you again there shortly :)
Love your work and kiln openings! Keep them coming! I have had similar issues with stroke & coat fading. My work around is to fire a second time at cone 04. S&C fades at cone 6, but the clay needs to vitrify at cone 6. By applying the glaze a second time and firing to cone 04 you get the beauty of color S&C offers. I have some mugs @LadyDayClay where I’ve applied this technique. Thank you for your inspiration!
Thankyou but there r no stroke n coats in this load. If u mean the marbled bowls they are stained clay. I use yr technique on jungle gems too.
I thought you used S&C on the gnomes purple hat at the beginning. Sorry, my bad
@@GerriannReimann-mw1gn ohhhh sorry that was the previous kiln yes I did. I forget so quick lol
What an awesome kiln load! I won’t comment about the cones lol! That last bowl is just amaaaazing! So glad Tracy is feeling better! Hope to hear you on the other side of the camera soon!! I had so much fun watching this. Nat you are so funny! When you said buy your own green glaze and told Trace to tell a story I busted out laughing!! Good luck on the grinding. I pray you’re able to get the pieces off. I have some of my first midfire pots that are still stuck to the cookies all the way around because I just know I’ll ruin them taking the cookie off! That blue bowl with the cutouts at the top and the jungle jems on the top is stunning as well! Thanks for the great kiln opening and the laughs. By the way I’m so glad you found Jeanette!! She is a wealth of knowledge for sure and she’s extremely helpful if you have questions. I also wanted to mention for the straws that don’t hit the bottom you can use a bendy straw and they will fit!!
Haha thankyou I was def in a giggly mood for this one! Love the straw idea xx
Thanks Michele, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
@@Tjsclaycreations I sure do know that feeling. You are in my prayers!!
Awh Michele, likewise always so helpful to talk with you, you have so much experience and advice that I have learnt from. Thankyou x
@@FarForestCeramics Aaw! Thank you so much! You are so very welcome! What am I if not useful! Haha.
The Honey Flux vase with the Autumn Purple, Sangria, and Kimchi… try them without the Honey Flux because the Spectrum Float glazes already run by themselves. The Sangria is the most vibrant.
Hey Molly ok I’m on it thankyou!!
It sounds like Chase is doing great. Glad to hear her sounding good. A combo I like is Sprectrum kimchi and autom purple. 3 coats kimchi top 1/2 autom purple bottom 1/2 over lapping in the middle.
Love the leaf bowl.
Thank you for the fun watching
Oh awesome I will give it a go!
Thanks, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
aww love the straw cup and guess what I did the exact the same thing with a cup with no handle and didnt do the hole at the right angle to allow the straw to sit upright lolol it sticks out and looks funny haha but I still sold one at the market so yeah! Its awesome love the colours you did! That teal drift is gorgeous! And yes yes yes on the leaf bowl - GLORIOUS xxx
Thankyouuuuu I was so nervous for that bowl!!!
hooray for Tracey...thats very good news....lovely pieces, luvvv the big bowl...and i watched all the video's of jeanette, she's very english, and very fun to watch
Thanks, now I just need to be able to get back into pottery and all will be right with the world 😊
Thanks for the lovely words, its hard to know how not to be english, when you are lol. So glad you enjoy watching xx
How awesome are the Spectrum glazes?! I have all the same ones you do it seems. I'm dying to get the Amaco Phase glazes!
Jane, Shoebox Studio
I LOVE watching Far Forest. Did you see the one with her and her mom? It was so freaking funny.
LOl, love that! I'll have to tell mum. We dont try to be funny its just mum and me being mother and daughter I guess. She is always honest with me, which sometimes comes quite unexpected lol
You will be able to easily drill those straw holes bigger with your dremmel. I've done it a few times 😊
You can even adjust the angle of the straw hole with your Dremmel. Do you have the little stone cone shape attachment? It's really good for altering the hole too.
Oh yes I do!! Thankyou I will do that rather than a drill!!
@mudmagic407 just take it slow and you should have no problems 😊
Nat! I just commented on a short before seeing this video 😂!! I wonder how hot your kiln was? Or was that bowl on a shelf that gets hotter than the others? I’m surprised because snow usually does the trick with stopping the glaze from running 🤷🏻♀️ but GORGEOUS BOWL! ❤❤❤
I think it was my fault too. When I bisque jg I do 3 coats when I glaze fire I do 2 coats but I did 3 coats! Nearly 6
@@mudmagic407 aahhhhhh
Hedgehog is UK animal
@14:17 sadly, we don't have hedgehogs... ( There are seventeen species of hedgehog in five genera found through parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, and in New Zealand by introduction. There are no hedgehogs native to Australia and no living species native to the Americas (the extinct genus Amphechinus was once present in North America).
