Such a great kiln unload, my fav though has to be the two poppy fields 🤩🤩🤩 what a shame about the crack in the flop bowl and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smiley face crack 😮 how exciting about your new glazes being on the way woohoooooo

Hi Nat & Trace Great opening as usual you are on fire lately so many videos! Sand&sea is definitely not the same as oatmeal, it's more blue for sure. I've seen Ana use flux blossom as 'sand' and it looks great. I have a few beachy pieces im working on and just can.not.decide what color to do for sand 😂 Fun to see you on Sarah Waltons live😊 You and your flashing captions lol you crack me up! You did spin that slip flower bowl a LOT on the last video. I'd love to see it close up or just hear you say how you made the flowers 💐

You know I make flop bowls too, handbuilt of course. And I have had a heck of a problem with them cracking recently!! I had 4 of them crack but thankfully before I bisqued them. They can be such a pain but they are sooo gorgeous when they turn out. Of course I love the poppy for less pieces! It’s out of stock where I get my glazes but it’s too cold to be ordering them now anyway. I do like the soft blue glazed pieces too which is odd for me because I usually like a lot of movement and colors. ❤❤❤ I may have mentioned this before so sorry if I have but to make sure that pieces you cut out don’t crack make sure not to make a v and instead make a u so it doesn’t crack there. Hope that helps. ❤❤

Hi D Sis & Trace! Bummer about that Flop Bowl crack!😢....maybe a birdbath for the garden? 🐦 Beautiful Cirrus Flow bowl. I know what you mean about the cracks in rims on handbuilts. I have been trying to compress the rims with my fingers periodically as it dries to see if that helps. SPECTRUMS...YAY! Looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Thanks for sharing!

Did I miss the memo WTF are the Bruce mugs for? Who is Bruce? The suburb next to mine is called Bruce 😅😅😅😅 I'll continue watching as I have to comment as soon as it pops into my head 🤪. The big blue bowl is magnificent. BTW when you stand in a certain position the front of the sign. It's strategically placed and it look likes you have horns on your head. Blends well because of your hair colour. Lol 😅😅😅

I’m watching while I’m pricing my pieces (which is my worsted job in ceramic’s) ! Measuring and listing and of course pricing, Sarah made a good point last night not to under price. You will have to make some small kiln fillers so we can have a longer video 😍💕

Luverly, luverly, luverly!!! I really like how you have used the turquoise on the outside of the beachy bowl with the celedon bloom on the inside! Looks fab! Like that poppy fields has made a return, such a pretty and reliable combo! I should be getting my spectrum order at some point, and have dome of the underglazes coming too! Exciting times ahead for us Aussie potters!!!

May I ask you two questions please? Do you do flux blossom x 3 inside and out? How many coats of Poppy Fields please?

Beautiful kiln unload. How unfortunate that the big flop bowl had the big crack. I love the textured bowl with the Cirrus Flow. I'm yet to try making yarn bowls. Might be something for me to try this year. Thanks for sharing xxx

So I got home from our workshop and checked some mugs , I made some before I went away using Keanes mid fire speckle. I took on all your tips and curled the handles after I cut them, all were good except one that cracked clean through where you said they would. Not sure if I forgot to curl that one, maybe. The others are all good, I’ll fire and glaze them soon. I love the speckled clay to throw but it was challenging for me with the handles to get the right stage of drying for both the handles and mugs to attach them. I know what you mean. More practice .

Omg Nat thank you for the shout out, I got chills when you mentioned me and said I’m kinda good, lol kinda brave maybe, not so sure about the good bit but so lovely of you to say so, but what a challenge. 4 kilos of clay eeeekkk that’s huge and you did it so well. I just love the bowl. Just for you I might try something big soon, not sure I’m game to do 4 kilos though. I might be there for a week centering it . Lady found draped around pottery wheel, exhausted 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve just got home from a long weekend away for a pottery workshop in Byfield near Rockhampton, with my close friend . It’s a long time since I’ve done a decent trip, 9 hour drive each way, luckily I really like driving . Though Debbie would have shared the driving , it was a great workshop at Nob Creek Pottery.

10 pound bowl !!! That IS impressive so far my biggest bowl has been 6 pounds! Definitely should do the pink mud for breast cancer awareness. That handle is awesome.!

Hello my dear nat; I am so grateful for your ideas. I made my great granddaughter a tea set with unicorns and rainbows. So I bought purple mist and purple aster by mayco. These are the ugliest greyish lavender color. My daughter thought they looked great. However they were not the purple as seen on jar of glaze, My granddaughter loved it. Everyone did. i was not happy with the purple. yuck. You can relate.....I just did not like it. So, your bowl is glorious. Cannot wait to try this combo with both those glazes and get rid of them. Glad you did not give up on hand-building. I love to hand-build. Struggling to teach myself to throw. .About to give it up. You bring joy all over the world. I so enjoy you and Tracy. O.K. one more comment....thanks for the short on grinding mugs. My hubby watched with me and said" I have several angle grinders in the garage...you are welcome to use one....Who knew?Love Nana(Chris) from South Carolina, USA

Wow Nat what a great kiln load! That big bowl is just amaaazing! Cant wait to try that down the sides of a bowl to get that look! Lots of fun news for you! I am like you with the diamond sanding disc. I don’t want to ear mine out. Diamond core has a black grinding disc that is very inexpensive that I use to actually grind the glazes down when I have drips and then use the diamond sanding one. It really works great. Oooh and I love the bowl that you did with the air pen!! My gosh how amazing! The amaryllis and cenote is just beautiful!! And the power turquoise with seaweed is soo pretty! My gosh the amaryllis and copper float mug is just stunnning! My absolute favorite Nat it’s amazing!!❤ I used to put texture on all of my bottoms since I always put texture on my slabs but I learned quickly that you have to sand your bottoms and that doesn’t look good when it’s done.

Very Nice to see how you threw this 10lb Bowl. Great idea to add the holes to cover that first one. I have just started throwing and it is challenging. I am now throwing standing and it is more comfy for me (hips and back). Did my first cup last week and hope to make some more. So far everything is either a bowl or plate, can’t Seem to get things up without flopping. I will try that tip you gave about shaping more towards the center first and then stretch outwards once I reach the end. Thanks Nat for sharing this. 😊

Oh Nat what a wonderful kiln unload again!!! Hope you and Trace have a wonderful time together. Plus your trip with hubby to see Jane, amazing!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it. Your large purple 10lb bowl, oh that is stunning! The holes really suit it and the glaze on the outside, just yummy!!!! Well done on your airpen bowl. Nice 3D texture! Mind you I was attempting it on a bowl the day before you did yours and mine is still drying waiting to go in a bisque. How did you dry it, bisque fire, glaze and unload your kiln so quickly! UK weather needs to get a grip and warm up lol mine is still not dry enough to bisque! Side question Nat, do you reuse your cone pack bases at all, or are they one use only for you? Love the straw Trace cup. Those blues are beautiful. Not so sure a put the lemon liner though lol. We all love different colour palettes lol The next piece of Frosted lemon with the aqua goes so beautiful. 😊 I think your teal and purple goes so well too together. The mug with slip trailing looks much nicer now glazed. For me I prefer less is more but it's still a fun mug that someone will love ❤ and snap up at market. Power turquoise, seaweed and oatmeal I adore! Wish I had all those glazes to give it a try myself! Seaweed brings some magic to the party when used in a combination! You mentioned you'd done a studio tour some time back. Not seen that, will have to have a search as interested to see. Great Video as always Nat, thankyou ❤

That bowl weighs more than a newborn baby and definitely earns the gloriousness status! Love the glaze on the bowl too, especially on the outside with all that ethereal movement.

Hi Nat, nice video on your new stuffies. I like the 3 section plate, what a good find in the cheep shop, i sniff around too often in kringloop shops as we call them in the Netherlands. Okay, so 2 layers of a runny glaze to show the textures. Thanks for the advice. The glaze came out fine. 👋
