Yes - the NSL pump has wear ring(s). Please refer to actual pump manual regarding acceptable clearance.DESMI pump manuals are found here: www.desmi.com/centrifugal-pump-manuals.aspx
We use a remote-controlled crane by the workstation. Other options could work, as long as safety, weight and mobility and is taken into consideration and in place :-)
Some of our brand new Desmi vertical pumps impellers are rubbing against the housing when turning the pumps shaft with hand. Any suggestions? We have a lot of Desmi Pumps in the warehouse to be installed on the ship in future. Thanks
Please check/ensure that the pump casing is not overloaded with forces / moments from the piping system - this might deform the pump casing and result in impeller rubbing against wear ring(s)
@@DESMIAS Thanks for the info. Will email desmi@desmi.com. No the pumps are not installed yet and it is in the warehouse for long term storage for 6 months to a year before they get installed on the ship. Part of the storage maintenance is to turn the pump shaft once a month. When turning with hand you can feel some of the pumps impeller is touching the housing.
Yes i know you check the shaft for damages but should check shaft with dial indicator to determine whether the shaft is bend or not..that’s what i mean..if the shaft using component or cartridge seal, always check stuffing box perpendicularity and concentricity to ensure it’s still within tolerance to avoid seals premature failure..thanks..have a good day..
This pump does not use a regular coupling. Our model A02 is designed with a short motor bracket frame which means that we use a kind of pipe coupling which is fitted directly at the motor shaft. This design also eliminate the requirements of pump bearings.
Hi A. Specter - thank you for your comment. The bearing is heating for easy mounting on the shaft. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us at desmi@desmi.com
@@ahmedalhashimi4922 iF YOU DONT KNOW THIS, this is so basic, yor wasting your time trying to learn mechnics. Obviously your are not going to do that if you want the pump to last.
Hi David. The easy answer is Monobloc Coupling and this of course comes in various sizes. You can read more about the NSL pump and the coupling here: www.desmi.com/desmi-products/nsl-centrifugal-pump.aspx
Hi Arif - thank you for your comment and suggestion, but unfortunately we do not have a turbine boiler video available. DESMI manufacture, sell and service pumps and pumping solutions. This is the chillest video i've ever watched
I enjoyed every moment of this training! Many thanks!

Wow amazing great sharing friend 👌
Yeah this good learning platform.
Proper best overhauling.
Excellent! Thank you for posting. Also nice tidy shop!!
Good video. Small criticism no soft jaws in vice plus quicker with impact gun to remove bolts etc.
M speechless being very honest
Nice refresher
No wear rings in your pumps? why no mention of clearances b/w impellor and casing. ?

What do you call the material handling set up you have with remote control for moving the pump?

very nice your training moments so thanks
When fitting the impeller back over the shaft, does the mechanical seal shaft spring get compressed down over the keyway?
Yes :-)
Thank you sooo much
Thanks so much for this video & beautiful vudeos
Thank you :-)
very good!
thank you.
❤ nice one
Why didn’t check for shaft run out?

Can anyone please tell me what is the exact name of that Coupling.
