It is a PG integrated M.Tech (5 years) Program with the Following Streams:
Software Engineering
CSE in Collaboration with Virtusa
CSE with specialization in DS
CSE with Specialization in Business Analytics
Construction Technology & Management
Artificial Intelligence
Computer Science & Engineering with Specialization in Cyber Security
Computer Science & Engineering with Specialization in Computation and Data Science

There are some Pros and Cons:
Pros:
If this course is taken in a Good college/University, It is worth to be considered.
In VIT, M.Tech in Software engineering is really good. (Highly recommended)
3. Students will get many research opportunities.
4. Students will get wide exposure to work through internships, industrial visits and alumni.
5. Students don’t need to worry about GATE preparation for PG
6. Students will receive Masters in 5 years
7. VIT, Vellore is internationally recognized.
VIT has got competent environment than other top private engineering colleges
Finally for students who have not having a good cut-off (above 190) or students who have not got a seat in a good college for B.Tech, can opt this course very well
If there are no arrears/backlogs, you will be eligible to receive Internship cum work in the 5th year
Cons:
Fee is huge (for Category 2/Category 3)
Students have to put extra effort/hard work as the study load is more (To achieve credit points)

65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) - State/Central/equivalent board of Examination in XII
55% aggregate in PCM for SC/ST and from few states listed on their website.
Age Limit: Date of birth fall on or after 01.07.2002
Candidates from NIOS / Correspondence mode are not eligible
Admission Process:

Applications are processed in the order of merit, based on the aggregate of marks (rounded to 2 decimal points) secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination
In case the aggregate is same, the order of merit will be decided based on the best scores in M,P,C sequentially, also based on total score in all subjects and incase of tie, the age i.e. older applicants will be given priority
After the declaration of results, applicants can give their campus and program preferences on To b announced (Applicants can provide ‘n’ number of choices)
Seats will be allocated based on Rank, Preference of Campus, Program (subject to availability)

Not only CBSE given preference. Seems they given home state preference. I am from Hyderabad and got PCM - 99.66% Telangana board but got rank 1976. Not sure actual criteria they followed. Let me know if any info about this.

Not sure about the category, and it all depends on the campus and program choice you would provide during choice filling preferences.

Mam I got Admission in SNU Chennai, is it recommended to join here? At VIT?Also which is best mam VIT or SNU?
If it is Category 1 in VIT, then I suggest you to go for VIT. Then give weightage to the course what you have got in VIT and SNU Chennai. VIT is already established and placement wise it is good too. Snu chennai is a new institution but with the reputation of SSN and SNU Noida you can decide for it. Finally SNU Chennai will have only merit students whereas IN VIT both Merit and non merit students.

Most of the CSE courses need maths as one of the subject.

Choice filling starts from 10th Aug and ends 11th Aug. By 15th Aug, you will know the seat allocation.

VIT vellore is always best when we compare with VIT chennai or any other VITs. Because of the teaching faculties, infra, placements. Still Don't worry, No matter whichever college you have already choosen, focus on developing your coding skills like active participation in hackathon events, joining coding clubs, do certification courses In NPTEL, udemy..
