Hi Peter, Glad you guys are enjoying the videos, i'm only running about 4 weeks behind over the last 11 videos the ones before where filmed a year before on my previous visit to this beautiful Country.
I met Zane on the Pentecost River, had a great time fishing and camping with him so if you like his videos please like and subscribe because he's alright even if he is a pom!! Proud to be your 108th subscriber Zane.
Hi Mate, the reel is a Penn 8500, BCF $90 and the rod is a Beefstick, i think expensive fishing gear catches more fishermen than fish Lol, Glad you are enjoying the videos.
@@zaneyoung3249 Thanks for replying. The outfit is clearly working well. You have caught some excellent fish. I am really enjoying the videos. You are certainly getting out and about. I thought the video down in Esperance was interesting too. I live on the south coast of WA. I mainly fish out of my boat. In my experience, along the south coast a boat is what will get you onto the bigger fish. The rockhoppers catch big fish. They have to go to some pretty hairy spots to do it though.
@@bruiser6479 I found it very dangerouse fishing down south, that black algae on the rock is lethal and combine that with the huge waves. I also struggled catching good fish down South, There was a big improvement once North of Kalbarri.
Hi Zane Love all of your short films. I've watched them all. Can you tell me the best way to deal with the shark ,once you caught it... for eating I mean. Love the balloon fishing tip. Keep up the great stuff Tight lines
Hi Simon. Glad you like the videos, I believe cutting off the tail to bleed them is the best way, the one in this video was filleted straight away and was not bled, obviously kill it first and take a fillet off of each sides and then skin it. you can get some good fillets off of a Shark.
@@zaneyoung3249 I was lucky enough to find some whole Silver Trevally in a supermaket today. Good find for hete in SA. Going to fillet them and cook tommorow night. Can't wait to get the real thing myself
Hi Zane,
I know you did these a while ago but I’m loving following your adventures and watching with my young son.
Cheers mate & tight lines

How did the fillets of the black tip reef shark taste.
They looked great going into the pan for cooking
