THIS. IS. INSANE. ONLY 15-20% of does will bear triplets. Twins are VERY uncommon for first-time mothers, but triplets? that’s.... i can’t even put it into words. I thought for sure that she would have only one since it’s her first birth, & by looking at her. For being a first time mama, lucy sure is calm. If anyone/anything were to walk up to her with her babies, she’d for sure do some physical damage. What a pure blessing this is. Thank you so much for sharing.
Being this calm, at her first birthing, means many, many babies in her future. So looking forward to that. :-) ;-) :-D

What a fantastic way to start the day! As a retired labor and delivery nurse there is nothing I love more than babies. Lucy is a a superstar.
That buck she bred with must have great genetics along with whatever genetics she has in her. It’s like what a 15% chance of triplets.
Jimmy had speculated that Lucy might be one of triplets herself, so it could be her own genetics that produced the triplets.
@@Automedon2 I agree even in humans the male has not much to do with twins and stuff. It more so has to do with the amount of eggs the female has available and ripe that her ovaries have produced. Identical twins can split from the same egg. In deer, age and health has a lot to do with how many fawns a doe has, and whether they are bred late or early season. Lucy is really young but in great health. This is why she had such a large litter and was likely bred in the first week or so of Dec. Any breeding after Dec. 2nd I think is considered late and is on par with her actual age. A gestation calendar told me dec. 11th, 2019...however that may be a little short for her since it is her first time and triplets no less. the calendar uses 201 days however Lucy could easily have went 212 days or something. I am sure Jimmy has a good idea on the actual conception date. I would like to know the exact day he thinks. Seems she had quite a few suitors end of nov to first few days into dec or something. makes it hard for me to tell because I can only go off the post date of the video.
