I have been de-dollarizing by buying precious metals (has no counterparty risk) has been around for 4000 plus years and won't make you rich and broke all in the same month, all these empires had the same thing in common they went away from gold and silver and created fiat currency and went broke should have stayed with precious metals
@@scotth5237 Bitcoin's major issue is that more than 51% of the nodes are run from China and majority of the BTC held is also in China. If they decide to shutdown those nodes and sell off their BTC holdings, say bye bye to the crypto market. Essentially, China holds the total power over the crypto markets right now.
Bitcoin has no counterparty risk friend. More research needed. And good luck with crossing borders with your gold and silver if you ever have to leave the country.

Bitcoin will be the global reserve while 99.9% of the physical world uses something else.

Cryptos can run on partial power grid loss, even solar power. But if there was a complete full global loss..... then our worries wouldn't be on money but probably, medicine, and other very important life/death issues, clean water, heat, etc...

Distributed blockchains are very resilient. The entire world can't loose power all at once, thus the blockchain will survive as long as there are nodes available. If the Internet and grid go down, will eventually recover, even through solar generators and starlink .

You left out the part about how the British empire behaved towards other countries when it was coming up, and how America behaved when it’s economy was coming up as well. I think it is wise to have crypto currencies, silver and gold because if the powers that be switch off power under the guise of cyber attack, it will be a challenge to access your tokens.
