There is something worth noting about scene where the springlocks first activate with Afton in the Spring Bonnie suit. The exposed area where the cupcake takes a bite out of the suit was CGI. However in the case regarding the design, it does look like it was mashed together by the prop designers. But yet, that's why their are channels like this that call out the faults and improve upon them. Thank you for this video and remember to always come back!
I noticed the springlock failure was shown as endo parts locking in and covering the holes which confirmed some people saying the springlocks are endo parts not springs and spikes
what people fail to realise about sprinlock suits is that when in costume mode the animatronic parts are still THERE, just compressed and wound up into the sides of the suit (an obviously very dumb idea, and not just because of springlock failure, but because of WEIGHT) the books actually give a wonderful look into the spring lock suits and springlocks themselves. there definately wasnt a lot of "is this actually possible in real life" questions when making the lore, and part of me beleives that originally the lore wasnt all there yet and scott didnt have a full idea of what he was going for, so some details change over time. but, the main point is that all of these designs look like they are just intended to kill someone, and not the purpose of combining an animatronic with a wearable costume
Well, the part of the springlock suit that appears in the movie also exists in the game, search for Springtrap's endoskeleton and you will see that the ribcage area is the exact same from the movie
Genuine +35,000 aura for having the *balls* to try on this suit. You literally risked a fatal injury that had, what, a 60-80% chance of you dead from 10-20 minute agonizing blood loss? Greatest springlock video on this website simply because of that. Earned a like and a subscriber.
in the film there was three spring locks on the chest plate (maybe some in the arms and legs) they keep the endo-skeleton in place to stop it from moving around too much
im pretty sure there were like 13 games, a billion books im not going to count, two vr games, a movie (and another on the way), on why this isn’t a good idea all jokes, it looks awesome!
The springlocks do actually have a purpose. They allow the suit to switch from wearable, pulling the animatronic parts away, and animatronic. Pushing the animatronic parts back into place, with enough force to shatter bones
@@dlelectronicsmechanics2059 listen, try to make a model of spring locks from games, in games spring locks moved parts of the endoskeleton to the sides of the suit so that a person could get into it
These springlocks look cool can propably dislocate ribs at "worst" so definetely safer than the game and movie springlocks And propably not fail with literal breathing so much more secure
I think you need to make a rachet and release part of it, so you can use a crank. Also, you need the ratchet to go both ways. Springlocks are made to hold the person in the center of the suit so it isn't too loose or too tight. Kind of like a shirt that can change its size. So you need to wind them, get in, and then get someone else to slowly wind it down til' you are gripped enough where the suit isn't moving around you, or you aren't uncomfortable. I believe this to be the actual use case of the springlocks by scott since there isn't any other use case. In real life, this does exist! But it doesn't use springs. It's called a "Belt".
The springlock mechanism is made to compress and hold the mechanical parts of the endoskeleton away so a person can climb inside. It's not meant to "hold a person" it is meant to hold the parts away from where a human is supposed to go.
@@printpython2755this is true, but what op said is the most viable explanation as to why TF the movie ones hold no electronics and seemingly can't function as animatronics
@@fluffyfoxer I see, I think the movie ones are just oversimplified. From a cinematography standpoint they are easier to make and for the audience to understand.

Random idea: build a second one, put a ballistics dummy inside and see what a real life springlock failure would look like
that’s an interesting idea that I never thought of.
That would be cool to see

Well, the part of the springlock suit that appears in the movie also exists in the game, search for Springtrap's endoskeleton and you will see that the ribcage area is the exact same from the movie
it is but the problem with the suit overall is there isn't the mechanisms in the arms legs or all around, unlike how it is in the games
@@RaiuAdami it is just a prop, it is obvious that the real thing is different. They just didn't built a real one because it was never gonna appear
Your vids have inspired me to make real springlock suits as well. Awesome vids 😊
You should really post vids of your suits!
You should open a kids pizzeria called fredbears family diner, and use some of your springlock suits as animatronics!
Don’t trigger the springlocks!
this is really good you actually made a springlock suit and put it on unlike everyone else and you also got straight to the point
Incredible work you do ❤
That is the safest spring lock I have ever seen you'd have to purposefully set them off good manufacturing

ngl, the voice reminds me of pj hiwood for william. And the suit ? Very good looking. So far, you both are the best manu i've seen.
THAT IS JUST PERFECT OMG
there is an entire series on why this is a bad idea
but fr this is really cool and i want one

I just love the idea of walking around as springbonnie in comic con for example, and just a random time just getting springlocked.
The fact that you kinda resembled young Matthew Lillard makes this video so much better.
Remember when you get spring lock, you always come back
Nice job keep up the good work
Ok, Mr. Afton, just don't k1ll childrens and stay away from water when you have the suit up on you.
Buy a ballistic gel torso, i wanna see what happens to that when the suit goes off

Yes, but in the game, the locks moved parts of the endoskeleton so that a person could get into the suit, this was not shown in the file
"Yeah, this suit is completely safe to-" dies
It's cool, I've seen very few videos of FNaF spring locks on RUclips.

I suggest that when you make the endoskeleton, you add small spikes for the springlocks to go on these spikes.
