I recommend watching my videos with CC or Subtitles only if you understand less than 50% of what I am saying in my videos. If you understand more than 50% without English subtitles or CC on, do you best to just listen. This is a great way to improve your English listening skills. This channel is meant as part of an English learning lifestyle, as a place to learn English skills, learn American culture, and create strong English learning habits. Keeping subtitles off and writing notes as you watch can be effective ways to move closer to your English learning goals. I hope Cloud English will be your main stop for American English lessons!

Thanks for the review. I have been considering buying a pro version of this app. I got 94 % after a week of training as a non-native...but I'm a C1 level learner.
I've never tried this app before. It seems useful when it comes to training pronunciation.
Great Chinese accent. You get 100% from me on that one
Me try 120% and get a 50% result. Native try to act as Chinese get 77%. The world is so unfair 🤣
Thanks, my start escore: 55. Now 69. I use The App for 10 days
I got a 85% score, I'm from Mexico and I use to study English alone. It's pretty cool that I can improve my pronunciation with ELSA.
thank you for your honest review.. truly helped
I got a 93%. I lived in the U.S. for a year and I'm German. I like the "real life communication" Lessons. Even though the sentences are kinda silly, it makes me improve my fluidity in reading sentences out loud.
I got 96% im from poland and i sound like crap in english. This app is bull
Do u use that app?
Did you pay for the pro version of this app ?
I got 96 and I’m from Brazil
I just came to see what score would a native person get since I tried this and I get 93%, 95%, 97% etc… lol. But I think this app is actually pretty good, all of the apps to learn English out there, I would say this is one of the best and one of the few I would actually consider buying.
I am going to try this app now, thank you for the video
This video totally what I need. I've been studying English alone. And I use this app to improve my pronunciation.
I just start learning English for 3 years, and my first test I got 86% pretty cool but I am not fluent now.
Elsa speak just help me improve my pronunciation. It's really hard to be fluent. I need some help from you guys, thanks.
Oh, btw, I know this video from a recommendation of RUclipsr calls Hanna's lexis.
Keep up that efforts you such a doing a epic job to assuming yourself in it
Did you pay the apps or did you stay basic?
@@haroharono I paid full access
This app is totally shitt of the bull. Im from Poland, i did the test and i got 96%. And now each practice word or sentence app Says that I sound like a Native. ( I sound like a crap)
Yea actually fluency is very important but pronunciation is important too. I suggest you to practice producing English language like speaking or writing because with this app you just train ur pronunciation. But like I said before, pronunciation is important. Cz I joined an English course focuses on speaking, sometimes my tutor corrects my pronunciation and she said it was important instead of speaking fluently. And if you have an academic purpose in mastering English language ya you have to focus on those 4 language skills.
hahaha I find this video because of my work's research. Although this was three years before, it really helped! Thanks! And I have to say your Chinese accent of speaking English is pretty good hhhhhh
Cool! I love it.Thank you so much
Thanks for the video, really insightful.
I‘m native mandarin Chinese speaker, and I can say you did a really good job imitating this accent😂
Apk for Mandarin learn??
Amazing evaluation! I tested Google Voice and It scores 95. Good app.
very impormative! thank you for making this video
Thanks this was a useful demonstration. Well done.
Great video. Thanks.
Elsa really help me exercise my tongue to be more understandable. By the way thank you for your review. 🙏

I would love so much to find this app for other languages, say Spanish or French. I wonder if this is available for native English speakers.
I got 78% in my first try. I'm happy 😁
Iol that’s really Chinese accent!! How do you imitate that so well!
Ikr!

@@CloudEnglish I live in Usa for like 4 years and i can't speak English.
@@NelsonIP how did you go to the US then
Hello, I become across this video and I checked, but I found that you have more reviews. I wonder which app you recommend or is the best. I have been living in Canada for fourteen years, and still I have problems with pronunciation. Any way I enjoy w the videos
7:52 As a non-native speaker, I got a 95% score, which I thought was excellent.
That is excellent. I have 85% and get a lot of comment how good I speak. I wish I could reach 95% someday!
@@attif8193 Is a score of 92 good?
@@SAMUELCRAFTER1 I guess. Congrats! I retook the initial test and got a score of 87%, which is a slight improvement compared to 85. I'll keep on working till I get to 95%-ish. Or at least that's the plan...
Native speakers with English RP accent, we usually get it wrong. The app needs a makeover.
¿Soy el único que se quedó con las ganas de ver la siguiente pantalla de la última prueba?
The Chinese accent just had me on ground! As a Chinese, I can say this guy did a great job simulating the chinese accent😆🤣
I'm french, I have a good understanding, but not much expression and oral experience. I did 53% at the test.
93% at /p/ /t/ /k/ sounds 92% at ending sounds. 23% TH sounds, 29% Diphthongs, 37% /ʃ/ /ʒ/ /tʃ/ /dʒ/.
I got this app 2 months ago. The score was 89 and now it’s 92. I bought the subscription for one year. It worth it. Love this app.
Hi, I am here to see what people say about Elsa. Nice to find you here. I'm also using Elsa for one week it's the best app for pronunciation. My score is currently 90% and I belong to India.
@@AGoogleuser-ip3vgwhat's your current score now? Are you still using it?
I’m ItaliN and my score was 77%, I can say I like the app and I think it is useful. Have a great day.
I find Elsa Speak absolutely fantastic for pronunciation practice,I've been using that for 1 year and I feel a big improvement in my English speaking skills. I'm a long time Elsa fan hahaha.
Do you still use Elsa?
@@luishenriquealmeidarocha7007 Yes, of course. But not as often as I used to hahaha
I started using the app this month, I guess. Sometimes I can't understand what I am saying wrong. But I like it.
On the topic of you helping the app, I got a 97% on the native assessment speaking very quickly with the type of Australian accent I would use with my friends.
All instances of became and so on.
I was very curious what it would think of the lack of rhoticity and my linking s, and while I saw a lot more red and orange than you did (on all the deviations from a slowly dictated GA accent), it seemed to not really care about my accent (for phonemes).
When I started doing intonation tests though, it was chucking me ~84% on average since it kept picking up my strong "to" in "give t' you" as a stressed word and the fact that I put slight secondary stresses on the subject of sentences with subordinate clauses (the stresses were only marked on the objects?).
Overall seems useful for high level non-natives but it definitely needs some work, or it's gonna not criticise people developing an American accent on their consonants with RP vowels for example.
Your comment was very necessary bc I’ve noticed some errors on Elsa, not only this pronunciation, intonation errors but spelling too. I even took a screenshot. I couldn’t believe. That’s when I wasn’t motivated anymore. It threw me off
You have a very good Chinese accent 👍
I am Japanese and my score is 74.
I mean, Elsa Speak is designed for improving American English pronunciation. I wonder if I could find British English version of Elsa Speak.
Same here if I don't produce the r sound it counts as a mistake. My Accent is British
Same lol
Any apps for a British accent?
@@diegoortiz2216 funny as a native RP (English) speaker, i pronounced fork with my usual English accent and it came back 45%. Imitated American and guess what 99%. 🤦🏽♀️
@@samank8628 Good example of subtle cultural imperialism .
I'm curious about what is your final score ?😂
is there any other app you can suggest us? thanks!
What do you think about a 77% I did the test, like a month ago and it gave that % level... I am Nicaraguan
I got 96%.. I'm from Tanzania and I've never been to the US. However, I once lived in Sweden for 5 years.. It was incredible.
I've so far spent more than 10,000 hours practicing native English,
Impressive! What was incredible about living in Sweden? The fact that you lived there, or you mean it helped boosting your English? I know they speek awesome English in Northern Europe and from what I experienced they speak the American English. Also, How do you practice native English? What is your method? I lived in Canada for almost 5 years got hook on American English, been practicing the accent and got 85% here, but I want to reach your level.
I gotta try once 🤔
The your voice is Great.follow!
I got 79% and the app looks promising.
You really sounded better in the second time.
Honestly its so confusing sometimes i get 98, sometimes 94, 82, 60, 50, 40 ive even just got 30% like wtf? I speak normally and i almost cant differentiate the difference in my accent when i made 90 or 40 score. Either theres something wrong with my phone/headset or the AI is on drugs
I dont know if its the fault of the app, but my recordings seem to jump ahead a fraction of a second now and then. This usually results in a red mark at that spot.
Do you recommend Elsa speak? I’m learning English , please I need to know if the app is useful ....
Thank you, how about if it compares to SPEEKO?
I think you would get a higher score def cuz this app is super specific. The lessons, when you click on the word, you can hear just that part, even those words you barely pronounce lol, it gets every single detail. But it does have some errors, some words you pronounce it right but it only accepts the wrong pronunciation. It happened 3 times, and also a spelling error. I got 96% and I’m Brazilian
Oi amigo, faz quanto tempo que tu usa ele? Realmente vale a pena pagar pela versão completa?
aún funciona la membresía de por vida de elsaspeek tengo esa duda ya que tengo pensado comprarmela y supongo que sera como pienso es para siempre no tendré que volver a pagar
My pronunciation improved a lot from 75 to 80 in like a few weeks time, but the app itself is not enough, I have to learn how to make the sounds from youtube tutorials to help me improve.
It is more of an evaluation app, although it does help to teach you how to pronounce a bit.
What channels do you recommend for improving pronunciation?
@@Eric-Walker "Sounds American" channel 🔥
@@Eric-Walker rachel english
@@Eric-Walker If your native language is spanish Inglés Americano
The best thing about the app is that it demonstrates correct “pronounciation” and that very word is mispronounced in the official advertisement!
Do u use that app?
85% here, not sure if my British accent confuses it
Damn that Chinese accent is on point!!!
I got 80 % its a great app
I'm currently using this app and don't know if it's relatable... I made some progress but sometimes, I wonder if I can really gain fluency when it's still focused and pronunciation... The syllables are sometimes too exxagerated and don't sound natural speaking
I've tried the app for 2 sessions and I found that it did help me find one or two mistakes I've never noticed. However, it's still too unreliable and wastes some of my time, because (1) it delivers false positives by attributing sounds from one word to another and (2) it lets lots of mistakes uncorrected when I deliberately spoke in a strong German accent. It's great that the app also gives different possible native pronunciations in phonetic letters for a single word, but it shouldn't be THAT lenient. Overall I think it's a good tool for people who are only starting to work on their accent. It's a great concept with the right rules and a step into the right direction and just needs to be polished. There is no one who would help correcting all my mispronunciations for 5 bucks per month.
agree
I have been using the app for a while now and instead of improving , I getting lower scores, I went from a native level, to advanced, to intemmidiate. I don't understand.
what is your native language ??
Many comments of ELSA said that it focuses on the American accent, and is not friendly to the British accent. Is that true?
Oh my god seems like you can do any accent
The funny thing is that his pronuciation is quite fine even simulating a non native 😂
I got 68 in first day test and turn to be 79 on 10 days since i use this app.
your Chinese accent is amazing

Your Chinese accent is %100 :)
I would like to say your Chinglish is pretty good. XD
Can l talk to you and be your friend lam translator and l need to practice English with natives
You are the star ✨ 😂
Hello, I am Chinese. Your imitated accent exactly sounds like my voice. , I want to get rid of my Chinese accent. So, could anyone give me some advice? Thank you so much!
The idea itself is kinda brilliant though it fails when giving you UNNATURAL/UNREAL things to say. I mean, no one would ever speak like those sentences. So, check your "fails", keep them in your mind and get off to practice "shadowing technique" over real people and your favourite videos.
That was a great video!
I was a little worried about how I was doing with this app.
I have no intension to loose my accent, that doesn't bother me (and shouldn't bother anyone, except you're an actor or have other professions that demand to sound like a native). It was because I want to communicate with the lowest errors as possible, to avoid misunderstoods... littles misunderstoods are completely normal, even on our native language...but avoid them is a good way instead explaining yourself all the time...
So your video have put calm me down now because if even you, native, didn't get 100%, I don't need to force myself to get 100% too...80, 90% is pretty great.
Then the conclusion is: the app have an accuracy of 95, 97%, wich is very great to improve the speaking for non-natives, so that way you can minimize your communication errors.
Yes,I couldn't agree with you more !
How can I check Level again and Again
I like Ur accent
I got 35%. but I'm blaming this low score on my cheap mic, on my cheap ass phone.
You can really do chinese accent!!!! Damn!
which app is help to learn english??
89%😁
I got 84%
I used to use this app till I got tired to repeat and repeat some words and especially some paragraphs, it was frustrated for me. I am not saying that the app is bad but some times Elsa is a little too picky regarding some sounds.
Sometimes I repeat about 20 times and even more till I get at least 85 % and even 97% and usually I understand what was my mistake. I could not pronounce a simple word correctly, Elsa gave me about 70% and not more. . I asked my friend Shawn to teach me how to pronounce this word and Elsa gave me 97%. Maybe I am too patient. I have 200 lessons more and I will finish with this app.
