No change for me. Still somewhere on the 90th page. I show up if put my full name in, a couple spots under a couple of guys who unfortunately passed away with the same name as mine (RIP to those guys who are out ranking me from heaven).
I don't want to tempt fate but I've just checked my GSC and I was shocked! I've had two considerable upward spikes after flat lining for several months. Also an upward trend in average position!.......we live in hope! Gaz.
@@WPEagle .....hope so Alex! Just checked again and had a third upward trend and some sales! To think I actually thought about maybe letting the renewal lapse! Gaz.
My main site continues to drift downwards, but honestly, I'm not putting much work into it anymore (like 2-3 articles a month). Mostly, I'm trying new things out to drive traffic, primarily on RUclips and Facebook. That's like RUclips videos for existing website pages and building up my Facebook presence. Fortunately, it's not my day job, so I have a bit of leeway to try some new things out. I still enjoy the channel and hearing about your adventures in Spain. Maybe one thing missing is the tutorials, I liked the ones you did on building Estepona Life with Popcorn, and it was the tutorials that got me to your site in the first place, as well as the just-watch-me-working long videos you used to do. I realize they probably take a fair bit of work, but maybe some more those might bring new people in. Keep up the good work and hopefully things pick up in the fall.
My site is experiencing slight growth .. very slight growth. DR increased by one point. Surprisingly. You will make that POD video soon, that will help. I am working on sites, apps, POD and YT. So glad you are not giving up on estepona site.
It's interesting to see what's happened to SEO youtube in the past year. There are people doubling down on the AI spamming idea and dishing out reams of crappy free courses and ebooks so they can keep the youtube ad revenue flowing, others have gone all in on what to me look like very flimsy and short term social media strategies, some are carrying on as if everything's normal and saying you can still rank like it's 2018 and others have either reduced their output or just dropped off completely. My point is none of this stuff looks hopeful or viable anymore, and I think that's causing many to just switch off now.
I've seen some upward movement on my sites. Enough to make me go back to a couple of them and update a few articles. I might even write a new article or 5 and see what happens.
i would assume people gave up on seo sites and stop wanting to watch such content since google dont rank sites as easily any more imagine getting out of the sandbox after 6 to 12 months to get slap with new updates every 3 months and all the content deindexed waste of time and money
Half my sites are finally making a comeback from September 2023 , starting with the June 21st update, and I just got another boost with this one. I'm glad😊 I renewed those domains 😅
There is nothing wrong with setting up websites, but for selling products, the mainstream e-commerce sites are getting even more significant because their vast, almost instant global reach is massive. A lot easier than setting up an e-commerce website, which is more of an add-on.
Great to see you, Alex! The market has definitely shifted, and many who once thought they could make quick money with thin affiliate sites are no longer around. It's tough out there, but I see it as an opportunity-less competition for those of us who are still grinding and putting in the work.
Help turn a website getting 20 to 40 clicks a day to one that got over 120 a day, update hit, took more than 2/3rds of the audience, absolutely sickening. 40 clicks a day now and dropping.
It's hard to draw conclusions. At least 28 more days to go. And there's a ranking bug currently too. Up or down doesn't mean much at the moment I'm afraid.
Perhaps it's normal that your subs are receding, as SEO is going dead. Less and less new users going into this business perhaps. I've moved on to something different, youtube and development, but I'm now thinking of doing some SEO once more, with the help of AI and see how it goes. I've already tried it with AI, thousands of blog posts and left it alone for a while. Didn't think I'll get back into it, but I have several websites read to get some content, and I created an app for automatic content creation and posting so.. and it's dirt cheap with the newest models
Maybe content like this is more interesting, by that I mean; more generic - it is for me. I binned my sites a while a while back, it was a waste of time. They all tanked:)
I love your videos Alex, and they do still show up in my suggested vids. As for my site, I'm in a state of despair around it all. I've been trying to revive it using social media traffic and supplementing the income using digital products, but it's not enough for me to live on. I'm currently trying to find other work. Anyone need a dog walker?😂
Hey buddy, hope you are well. First off let me just say to everyone out there, Alex is one hell of a content creator and very talented. He’s had allot of struggle of late like us us so please don’t hold that against him, everyone has bad days, months and even years. Second, to answer the question Alex, I think there is not a single issue but rather a multitude of issues that has resulted in a significant decrease is viewership and general overall decline of subscribers. 1: Google messing everyone around. Since 2020 they have been increasing their core update frequency. In addition they are rolling out new features such as AI Search. On top of that they are affecting smaller blogs more than huge corporations in terms of ranking. So naturally this makes people quit SEO. 2: due to your personal life issues which I won’t speak about here ofc, the time you can invest into new content has reduced which is only natural as you have had to reprioritise your time over the last couple years. This means less fresh content which means less viewers and new subscribers to offset the lost subscribers. 3: The quality of the content is not an issue, you publish some amazing content that is very unique and forward looking. The issue I think is the type of content you are producing. I think new people to making websites and learning SEO need to see more tutorial focused content over the shoulder. Building out new sites, exploring and showcasing new powerful plugins and so forth is the content that you’re known for. More of that and less of unrelated content is what is needed for channel growth. Other than that there honestly is nothing else I can think of that would improve beyond good old manual advertising and paid advertising. Take this with a grain of salt Alex. They are just some thoughts of the top of my head. Hope you’re doing well mate. Let me know via Skype, email, discord or phone if you need any help. I’m always here for you buddy you know that ❤ Keep up the great work and stay positive mate.
When people no longer do the topic you cover, they unsubscribe. My gaming channel loses lots of subscribers...because the game goes up and down. When it's great, it's not bad, but when it's bad...I lose hundreds a month.
I dunno, am I actually kinda starting to warm up to you a bit now, Alex. Anything worth doing is hard. Maybe people don't want to hear that on this platform?
@@WPEagle Not fair to say that I did not like you before, but I would say that since this mess with Google has upended the niche site universe, you have shown yourself to be more real and more relatable (maybe vs some others). The way we handle adversity says a lot. Thus my comment.
I dont think the loss of subscribers has anything to do with you or your content. So many people have quit or shelved their sites since March. I'm finding the buzz in blogging groups around this update to be very quiet, which tells me a lot of people have moved on. I'm theorizing that the winners in this update got a manual review, either from filling out the update feedback form that Google put out, or potentially being on some kind of list from the big ad agencies. That's my tinfoil hat take.
Small feedback if you can, expanding and covering more topics like how to use facebook traffic (niche site lady/jesse cuningham promoting and sharing this ), pinterest traffic (tony hill and Jon Dykstra sold a course on this ) or youtube faceless traffic or ai stuff to get traffic(Julian Goldie covers alot of this ) to get more site traffic would be more interesting and relevant content since google traffic is dead in the water and there is really nothing much to talk about unless you are some fake seo guru trying to sell some seo service there is no point everyone know google is dead traffic source unless you are a million dollar brand

No change on mine either mate. all of them are the same.

Great if you want to depend on soulless billionaires and their censor-happy minions and exhaustingly cater to their whims for the rest of your life.

People are not doing website anymore, including me.
What are you doing instead?
Yes they are. Including me.
Me too.... I gave up this crap.
My main site recovered after changing domain name and using 301 redirection.
Impressions and average position went up a lot, but CTR went down to 0.1%, meaning that I got even fewer clicks for the past two days, haha.
Hmmm. It's still early days
It's hard to draw conclusions. At least 28 more days to go. And there's a ranking bug currently too. Up or down doesn't mean much at the moment I'm afraid.
Yeah, you’re right
Nothing wrong with you channel, mate. Sometimes I realized that RUclips unsubscribes me from channels I’m pretty sure I actively subscribed!
Thanks for letting me know
I gave up on them. I will be making videos and having AI convert them into articles to maintain the minimum content requirements
No changes here. Ill wait and see. Thats all i can do
Fingers crossed..
Don't hold your breath Alex ...
😮💨
The recoveries are bugs

Good to see you! I don’t see your videos in my feed. I have to go look for them.
My channel and views are down down too.

Not sure.
So far so good, traffic declining even more(not that i had a lot before)

@WPEagle Yes. I got hit in September and really badly in March, but somehow I've done well in this update. Maybe not all is lost?
Affiliate still works. SEO still works. Sites still work. Affiliate, seo, ads, are all part of the ecosystem and not as important as good content.
I still watch. But i prefer your more educational content rather than entertainmemt content. Such as popcorn theme tutorials and stuff of that nature.
