I'm a retired heat set pressman after 47 years. Ran just about every press made, ran a 6 unit 38" Komori for about 8 years best quality web printing there is, as good as sheet fed. Goss M600 the most user friendly press KBA C215 the worst.
I work as an apprentice in web heat offset printing in Melbourne Australia I work on a manroland machine we also have a few Komori machines, and a goss machine
The press I work on our upper plates are the lower and the lower plates are the upper. What should be the gear side is operator side it’s been put in backwards or something
Lithoman idk there are 2 manroland presses but we just say Man 1, Man 2 ,there’s also Komori D, KBA818 , Komori S and Komori SI, Goss . My apprenticeship requires me to learn everything from being stacker doing the trim lines being reelman grabbing reels emptying bins everything to do with running a press, I’ve been working here for 9 months and already at in a position of becoming a permanent Number 2 on my shift and press

A clean press is a happy press.
