Veronica, I love Sirene. I do found it a little but smoky but soo sexy. Eau Femenin was a strong like, and it has grown on me and now I really love it.
Let your decant macerate a bit. It's a completely different scent even after a month. I did not like my 2 ml, but my four-week old 7 ml decant was incredible. Which, I find CRAZY!
Vanilla powder was a love at first sniff for me. It's so good and so long lasting. It's so dense and airy at the same time.

Yes, I have tasted perfume and lets just say, avoid that😄 I have also sprayed myself right in the eye! Also not recommended. There are intriguing new scents out there! Sirene sounds lovely! I will try to get my nose on that. Have you, or anyone else found that you need a larger than 2 ml sample to properly test a fragrance? Or, just me and my aging olfactory senses? I swear, not only are my eyesight and hearing becoming compromised, but also my sense of smell. Is that a thing? I have noticed that most designer fragrances are starting to all smell alike to me. They all smell like slightly sweet florals. I can’t pick up the uniqueness of individual scents anymore with the designer scents.😭
Oof! Spraying in the eye is a near medical emergency sometimes! It stings 😖😆 I do notice that my sense of smell is weakening in very small increments as I get older, and that my hormonal state affects how I enjoy scents and how they play on my skin. It's a medical fact that smell declines as we age. I think a 2 ml is the very LEAST I can use to make an okay judgment, but a travel size is best (if possible) .
I saw Juice on Sephora two weeks ago. I considered it a safe blind-buy because I thought "how can they mess up a juice scent?" 😂

You have to give Pannaco Taha another try. It did me wrong at first. If you are dabbing on skin it's mildew. In the air it's the most sexy tropical Thai or Burmese mango bread pudding. It's not the basic mango the English brands would sell. It's far out literally. I think that's the issue the mango is a new scent profile. Similar to Pas Encore with the pineapple. It's a extremely tropical pineapple. Love it over Nota Sugar as that's said to be pineapple upside down cake. Yet Pas Encore is organic and projects and last way longer than Nota Sugar.

I just purchased House of OUD Guilty Crush just because of the tacky bottle as you said and I LOVE the look of this egg! I like the bottle as I think it’s pretty and girly and will look nice sitting on my vanity. I think I will enjoy this scent as well. Waiting for it to arrive in a few days.

My biggest disappointment was Commodity Juice! I was fully expecting to love it since I love rhubarb, but it fell very short. Maybe it will be better in cooler weather, but it def isn’t good in our SoCal heat (sharp & headache inducing). Too bad bc I was looking forward to the strawberry rhubarb combo 👎
I’ll stick to Hermes Rhubarbe for summer!
And yes, vanilla powder is thicccck-thick 😂 it might also be better in cooler weather.

I love lipsticky scents besides lipstick rose 🤮 Johnson and Johnson baby powder and butt wipes is all I smelled with a hint of rose 🤢 I do adore lipstick fever and Narcisco Rodriguez “Rouge” those lipsticky are amazing. Guilty crush sounds like my kinda fragrance as long as it’s not lipstick rose 🤮

I actually blind bought Pannaco Tahaa and I don’t quite get what you get. However this is DEFINITELY NOT a summer fragrance. To me this smells like a spicy gourmand winter mango. Which is kinda weird to combine those things together so I couldn’t really get with it. I didn’t hate it but I couldn’t see myself ever wearing this odd combo of winter and summer scents. I sold it.
Oh gotcha! That's a good description. Have you tried Carioca Heart? I felt similarly in that it's dense. Gorgeous, but not the airy summer mango I thought. I'd rock it in cooler weather for sure.
Maison Crivelli is one of my favorite houses and Tubereuse Astrale is gorgeous, a very unique take on tubereuse. The dry down is fantastic. My birthday is around the corner and hubby is gifting me a bottle and also Sirene ❤ It's fun to have a husband who enjoys fragrances as much as I do. It's always a conversation piece between us 😊 Girl, I love your nails.

Hey Veronica I know you wanted to know what the house of oud white pearl smells like. My sample got delivered today and I hope you find my comment because I’ve been wearing it for about 6 hours on my skin and it is BEAUTIFUL. To me it kinda smells similar to Mizensir ambre magique because they have three common notes cardamom, ambergris and rose but the similarity ends at about 15 min. Also with the cardamom and ambergris in the opening it still remains fresh and pretty. After 15 minutes the marine and floral notes become more prominent but it doesn’t smell weird like some marine notes can become “fishy” to me. It’s a beautiful feminine (a lil perfumey perfume) but very summer appropriate. I hope this helps!

Vanilla Powder was one of the worst fragrances I've smelled in years. I could not scrub it off fast enough when I got home. The perfume shop owner where I smelled it loves it, though! 🤷🏻♂ 😄

was suuuuper disappointed in Juice 😢 i blind bought all 3 scent spaces. was more floral then fruity, more tart then sweet. almost a fruity musty scent. gave me fruity floral laundry detergent, cheap airfreshner, and potpourri vibes. Juice+ was vetiver and patchouli heavy in the drydown, which was the only part i liked. the smoky, woody skin scent was nice on me. Juice- was stronger and lasted longer on my skin then Juice (Expressive) did. idk if i went noseblind but could barely smell the Expressive version on my skin after about an hour.

Veronica- I am currently watching a video and had to stop it because the creator is talking about Tocca’s Simone perfume. It has a watermelon note. Have you ever had your nose on this one? I’ve been dying to try something from Tocca. They’re usually quite floral but this one sounds a little different. And, when I saw it opens with watermelon 🍉 I had to come back to tell you!!

I almost blind bought Pannaco Tahaa because of all the hype and thank God i didn't because i got a sample and it wasn't nice at all, smells like a cleaning product, a very green and harsh mango nothing creamy about it, a big NO!

I bought a 7ml decant of Micallef O Feminin and had the same initial experience you did, which confused me because of all the hype. On a whim, I tried it a month later and it was a COMPLETELY different experience. It needs to macerate just a bit, and it also blooms in the heat, so it's worth revisiting. I have a bottle on the way. 🤭
That Guilty Crush bottle is just embarrassing. I have questions for THOO.
The two scents I think worth trying from Materie Premiere are Santal Austral (sexy, airy, almost gourmand sandalwood) and Encens Suave (intriguing coffee/incense/amber combo). I'm obsessed with Santal Austral and I usually avoid sandalwood.

I also thought my sample of pannaco tahaa was rancid too. I took one whiff and I threw it away. It was only a sample from lucky scent so nothing really wasted. It smelled so bad I didn't want to give it to anyone.

I adore Hufflepuff! You can't care about projection and longevity though. It's a soft fragrance and fades within a few hours. But one of the most delightful light airy vanillas with lemon, a very soft faint peach, and just a tiny touch of coconut. House of Sillage has sales - don't pay full price! Get it half off or more. Pretty bottle too

A great affordable perfume to try is Sage Onyx (or the brand also goes by Sage Machado or Sage Lifestyle). It is a mysterious and seductive Coconut fragrance. The notes are Black Coconut, Tobacco Flower, Oakmoss, Vanilla, Tunisian Amber, & Musk. It comes in an oil and EDT concentrate. I mostly pick up the Coconut and Tobacco and Amber/Vanilla + Oakmoss in the base.

I bought two 10ml travel sprays of Commodity Juice (personal and…normal? I keep forgetting what they call their fragrance tiers 😅). Really looking forward to enjoying them this summer! About Pannaco
I find that combining benzoin with fruit, especially something like mango that can smell a bit indolic, can create a horrible rancid smell. That’s just my experience I like benzoin, but must be used judiciously.
Maybe that's it. Whatever it is, I don't want any parts of it! 😖😖😖

About vanilla Powder. I was very on the fence when I first sampled it in a store. But it kind of clung to me. Then I got a tiny 6ml bottle, now a 50ml is on its way. This really grew on me the same way Guidance did.

I’m terribly torn about these gourmands
As a former pastry chef, I don’t want to smell like food. And I certainly do not want to smell like chocolate, which really sinks into your pores when you worked with it all day.
I don’t want to smell like milk either. There seems to be Cacao and chocolate and so many things.
I can understand! I enjoy gourmands but only in small doses. I can understand not wanting to smell like "work"! 😄

Totally agree about O'Feminin, on my skin it was too sharp and green. Annoyed me so much so had to let it go!!! 😬 I think the Neroli they used is the bitter culprit 🤔 Xx

I just got my sample of O Feminin today. I agree with you! I like it, but is just was not what I was expecting at all. I can really smell then mandarin. It also has a very green, almost soapy scent. I don’t know exactly how to feel about it yet. I will try it in warmer weather.

O! Feminine is my favorite OB scent! It's simply dazzling. Absolutely cravable! I want to go spray it now that you're mentioning it! I can't understand how anyone wouldn't swoon over this gorgeous, juicy scent!

I want Rosendo 8. He always did wonderful things with fragrance. I’d love to try some Ella K and Angela Ciampagna. I am getting tired of gourmand fragrance offerings. I don’t mind fruit and herbal and spice notes but I really don’t want to smell like baked goods, coffee or chocolate.
I am ready for a break from gourmands also. The market has been inundated with them for a while now. Rosendo No 8 is worth a go!

I actually sprayed my sample of O Feminin in the air this morning to see if I was in the mood to wear it, it hasn't impressed me thus far.. I couldn't bring myself to wear it. I don't dislike it at all but it's just like almost pure neroli to me. Yes quite green too! The drydown is more toned down though 😊

Can anyone explain why my sample vials smell different/better than the full bottle? Its happenned a few times now, and it may be due.to needing to age the full bottle so it can ripen like the sample? It happenned with l'imperatrice, viva juicy,and i think some others. I havent checked if my full bottles have improved yet but its disheartening because the samples have a totally different smell ,and depth. Anyone else have this observation?
I irdered the vanilla powder sample and that was musty to me,similar to thr mustiness i get from certain types of oud ,and vanillla 28 kayali has it ,which is why i cant wear it, it feels.like i cant breathe properly when i wear scentsbwith that mustiness
People will answer this question in different ways, but for me, a couple of things stand out. Unless you buy a large decant or travel spray, the tiny atomizer of a little decant distributes fragrance differently than the atomizer of a full bottle, so the concentration on your skin is different. Also, we tend to sample by spraying on one tiny section of our arm, so we then stick our nose directly into that spot so we have no idea what it smells like in the air from a full day's wear. Finally, small decants have greater exposure to air by volume so it's arguable that the chemistry is affected by this. There are probably other reasons, but that's I think. 🤷🏻♀️
Lol the scent of a man. I think we often forget that the nose is the sensory extension of our brains that is exposed to our environment. I think that sort of explains our reactions to scent, but I swear there's so much more. When you spoke of your husband's natural scent, it reminded me of a boyfriend that I had who was very clean, into really nice fragrance, but there was something about his natural musk that was like a sirens song that just made me CRAZY, HOT, and so much more. Inexplicable and was never replicated in any other man. I am glad you have that with your husband. It's a rare and beautiful thing. When you spoke of it, I knew exactly what you meant . and

It took me a few wears with o’feminine.. at first I didn’t care for it much. But as I tried it again I found it has grown on me. More neroli than honeyed orange blossom to me. But alas it has grown on me and when I find it for a good price it may come home to me 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

I’m loving Fugazzi!! Angel Dust is really a great scent and I don’t really care for another 13 but Angel Dust speaks to me. Also from fugazzi is Cash flower and I love it!!
