🤣🤣🤣🤣 I haven't watched this yet as I'm trying my best to stay away from all social media this week - apart from my own channel of course 🤣- after seeing this headline I'm starting to think I should just concentrate on making RUclips videos instead of trying to sell online! 🤣 Maybe I knew something subconsciously - given my taking a week to make lots of videos and get them uploaded and scheduled in advance. But never fear, my self-imposed embargo ends tomorrow so I'll catch up on all these videos you've been posting over the weekend 😘😂
I sell on Facebook Marketplace as well as ebay. One thing I find frustrating about Facebook Marketplace is that it only has one box to type the price into and it will only accept one number. There's no way to enter multiple prices for different items within a listing or do the equivalent of a variation listing. You can only enter numbers into the box so you can't even write "various" or "see description for prices". So yes, it's misleading, and I don't like it as a buyer, but there's no way around it at present.
The one thing I see common over here (and I like it) is that people will put $123 in the price amount. One thing that does really irk me though is people not putting in a price and telling you to contact them - drives me insane!
Octo put out 100,000 videos in the last 3 days and I am still not convinced he got 500,000 subs, but being Australian for me it's always great to see my fellow countryman succeed and wish him all the prosperity, I love facebook, ebay sometimes, but when you merge both, there is a climax of happiness that makes your skin tingle like feeling of sharp needles :)))))))))))))))Good job Octo, now I got to move to Fiji to start my channel there :))))))))))))))
This whole Skylanders story is crossing over into petty crap territory. The seller is some young person who has never sold before and is in no way a professional. They didn't realise it takes effort and they messed it up. They tried to solve their problem by following the advice of people like you on youtube, because they don't know any better then to pick and choose what advice to follow. The moral of the story is to take the refund and move on. It doesn't even warrant talking about.
I actually think otherwise, whilst the story was about that particular seller, it was more of a cautionary tale for every seller - regardless of how long they have been reselling. I'm more of a baptism by fire kind of guy...
A lot of the press are referring to the "merger" as simply Facebook's response to the massive antitrust fine the EU imposed on Meta. It will be interesting to see how visible & active the ebay listings will be on Marketplace. 19 videos in one day .... interesting to see what state you will be after the recordings 🤣🤣
Sounds like they might be a seasoned seller with a new account. They should have sucked it up and sent it to you to learn from their mistake. I have 2 New Year’s resolutions but I can’t remember them.
Although I don't promote any listings, I don't cross list any items.. eBay is wise to work with other Marketplaces (Google/Facebook) to get items in front of more potential buyers. From the statistics there have been over 1 billion users that bought off of Facebook Marketplace which is massive. Obviously there will be some sort of fee structure for this, I likely won't bother, but all depends where your buyers are trending to to make purchases.. Collectibles will still largely be done through eBay. Good work going after that seller. Even if they are just some parent selling off a collection of old toys, eBay is not the place for bad sellers. I've said it for years now, eBay would do much better if they actually took action against sellers that don't meet certain standards. Although this person is clearly new to this so no reason to go whole hog, but let it be a learning lesson to do some research.
I can't believe that there are sellers like this guy out there on eBay. you see it on FBM all the time. I hope he lose his account. I've been seeing eBay listings popping up on Facebook for a while now.
Your videos are interesting enough to do 1 per day. If you look back at your upload history, the videos where you talk about controversial topics seem to get the most views
As much as I love holding resellers to account for crying over Monster High dolls, I really don't like doing the controversial videos - I'd rather just pick on Blake...
Someone better get the hidden reference in the thumbnail...
Or I'm going to do 19 videos a day!
We are definitely entertained!

Agreed, I still do it. I don't think it bodes well if your stuffing up your first order
Awesome video
Thanks Chad! Just finished up on your today's video.
I am ready to see what happens.
On a side note, today I learnt that it's "tragicomedy" - I always thought it was "Tragic Comedy".

I really agree with those saying that eBay should have an intro video or short selling course for new sellers to do, it would weed a lot out
