  • Mo'Nique on brother molesting her:
"It made me say, 'I'll get you before you can get me.' Because I know what it's like to not be in control of what you're taking from me. I know what it's like to be in a position where there's nothing I can do. So when it came to men, baby, I had my share. I'm not saying I was no wh*re, but I was close."

When people call this sister difficult.....they're not understanding what this sister has really been through. She's explaining who she is in this interview. When you've had to deal with trauma and PTSD all your life, you develop defense mechanisms and a protective shell to make sure no one can hurt you like that again. You don't get mad at the victim for creating their own coping mechanisms and defense system. You just need to respect their space and let them do whatever they need to do to heal and grow. Sadly, people often blame young girls and women for their victimization, stereotypes like "she was/is fast," policing the clothing young girls/women wear, etc. Instead of blaming the older many instances fully grown males for their unethical or even illegal behavior for which these boys/men are 100% responsible for. Boys/men are not animals and as human beings have the capacity for self-control. If they are unwilling to control themselves they need to take up residence at their nearest zoo.

Monique I have been following and praising Oprah since I was a young woman, after hearing your story in various platforms I have to say, I am disappointed on her, she should have never done that to you, am so sorry about everything that’s happened to you, let the chips fall where they may, you are blessed to have a man next to you who is not afraid to tell you what you need to hear. Good luck to you now that everything is out in the open you should be at peace, my outmost respect to you and your career 🙏🏼

I was not ready for that! Thank you Mo'Nique. The courage to share but with humour suggests some real internal work. I don't know the details behind the deadline but isn't her story the type that Oprah would champion in her heyday? Was she threatened by this? Anyway, this Mo'Niques time. All the best to you! Shannon, you did it again!

Monique is a beautiful soul, her spirit is bright and all she is saying is bringing the light to the darkness that surrounds this world...I adore her for standing up for the right and honesty ...she is beautiful and so very special...all those who have done their evil deeds, that she is honest as is right they have their day coming...this world is going to change very soon and all these whom live life in evil have a rude awaking coming ....so if you are not sincere and honest just like Monique you will have your day because the light is coming very very soon and those living as a Satan disciple will be judged....love and light to you fabulous soul Monique....

That was so powerful. They wronged you as a child the one who supposed to love you and protect you as your brother. But now as a woman your powerful you don’t have to live that story anymore because you decide now who you are what you will let break you down or what you will raise you to be the strongest powerful woman inside and out that was so beautiful she needs to write a book about this subject empowering young girls to help them get their life back

Babeeee my husband got me together as well. When I broke down one day he said " give it all to me, I wall all of you good and bad. If I have to fight you to get and keep you I will". I knew he was my husband. I was also a handful and didn't know how to receive my husband because he came with peace and healthy..I was used to toxicity
