Once saw Tomahawk open for Tool in El Paso (2002) - Mike Patton absolutely is one of the best singers- period. Tomahawk rocks!

Awesome song, awesome band, a real singer! I wouldn't look too much into the lyrics, Patton himself says he thinks more about rhythm than words when singing. Cool reaction though, the Patton rabbit hole is a good one to go down!
I think some over those lyrics were incorrectly transcribed.
