So grateful I found your channel! I was directed here by Kathryn at K3N Cloth Tales. My goal in aging is to age joyfully. I turned 71 this month and right now I’m busier than I’ve ever been slow stitching, paper and fabric journal making, creating collages and machine sewing. I’m looking forward to catching up on your videos.
I’m 73 and I’ve never been busier! Not busy so much as productive. I just started working creatively with dementia residents. I’ve always been creative and craftsy. Life is very good and I’m grateful. I love your beautiful spirit!
Yes, big difference between busy and productive! Oh! I LOVE old people, and I've been saying that for YEARS and now I'm old. God bless your work!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I am so glad that I have found your videos. I have been binge watching them. 😂 I so enjoy watching you. I’m 78 and I am so busy I don’t have time to think about my age. I love doing everything crafty..that I can fit into my day, week, whatever. Read my Bible in the morning then I decide what I’m going to work on. If it’s nice out I take hand stitching or knitting out on the deck and my dogs and I enjoy just being outside. Try not to think about anything negative and just live each day for the best time I can. Thank you for now being apart of that day. You sit outside with me sometimes 😂
Carolyn, I LOVE the way you look at life! You are fabulous at 78 to be online is so wonderful. Was just talking to Brian about this yesterday. Will talk about it some in my next video. 💜 I do enjoy sitting outside with you and the dogs! 💜
I totally understand feeling worthless or lonely or getting old. I’m 86 and in 2021 we were convinced that we should move. The packers took loads of our furniture and miscellaneous items to a thrift store, WITHOUT our permission and several trips to the dump. These were good items. We had already moved and our old neighbors notified us about what happened. We had to move again that same year. Those packers from Las Vegas broke our furniture and stole dozens of boxes. We lost items from cookie sheets to valuable jewelry. Being old and losing so much is devastating. It is still necessary to find peace so you can go on with your life. I am excited that I “stumble “ across your videos. I will continue to watch as I enjoy your honesty and all your projects.
Hi, Jeri...I found your channel quite by accident last night. I'm looking forward to making a kawandi quilt. I, too, have been floundering for four years...since retirement and then the world shut down! I have always enjoyed being creative, but I seemed to have lost my spark. I will be 76 in a couple of days, and just last week, I decided to finish the many quilt tops that I had started for Project Linus. I'm nearly finished with one...hand quilted with big stitches! Thank you, Jeri, for your inspiration. You're a breath of fresh air. The spark is back...Marty Mathis
Thank you Marty! Today has been a rough day for me and your comment has cheered me on. I'm SO glad you found your spark again and happy that you have joined me here. Have a wonderful joy filled day! ❤️
Hi, I'm Barry, and I'm new to your channel. Lost my wife 10 years this coming August 5th. When she got sick I started saying " one day at a time, one issue at a time, one step in for the other". I continued that saying after her passing, 10 years later I think I have forgotten how to live, forgotten how to stop and smell the roses. Thank you for your time and honesty. Nice to meet you... I've been Bing watching your videos...lol I'm grateful to have found you.
Barry, I'm so glad you're here! It's not easy when you lose someone that is part of your daily life. It's so easy to slip away, one does it slowly and without much notice, and one day you realize that you need to get back to it or else. Sounds like you are having that epiphany now, like I did last year. I hope you find something to make your heart sing again. Thanks for leaving me a comment and joining my community. I do a video each Friday and sometimes an extra one here and there. Look for the one I'm posting this friday. I think you will find it helpful. sending virtual hugs, Keep Moving... 💜
I graduated from college when i was 48. I had a short career, retired at 62, but am very busy now, doing only what I want to do. I had the experience of having my mother die at 41, so getting old is a blessing to me, especially after going through my cancer. I will enjoy looking at your videos. I also enjoy watching Sandra Hart's channel, she is amazing in her 80's.
Ohhhh I'll check her out, thank you for telling me about her. Life is short and aren't we blessed to have our art and do the things we love while we still can. 🩷 Thanks for being here!
I so happy to have found you! I am 63 and feel exactly the same way but I am excited to be on this new journey with you!! I have done several crafts in the past and have become stagnant so I am whittling down to the ones I like the most and getting rid of others so I can have a clear mind to focus on certain ones and not feel overwhelmed. Cleaning out and organizing my craft room has also helped and now I’m raring to go! 😅
I feel you! I'm going to be 65 in April, got divorced this year (good thing) and my two sons families and I are planning to all move to a multi-generational homestead next spring. I'm the head gardener and chicken tender. So new things to happen next year that will keep me happily busy. Joyful life as we age!
Girl, you have a lot of life to live! Happy to hear you are choosing joy! You have a ton to share and teach the younger generation, looking forward to seeing more from you!! I'm in my 60's with no retirement in sight and I'm happy about that! Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2024!!
Glad I found you again….i am 73 and age is only a number…yeah tell that to my aching bones. Anyway, glad to be on this new journey with you…I look forward to your videos! Keep on …keeping on🎉
Hi Jeri! It’s so good to see and hear from you. I am right with you on the age thing. I retired last year and I’m now 65 years old. Life is very different, but good. I found new hobbies to keep me busy as well as being there for my 91 year old parents. There are still some tough days, for sure. But I think making the decision to move off the couch and be with other people makes a big difference in quality of life. I look forward to your videos!!! 💕🥰💕
Merry Christmas Susan, I was thinking of you a few days ago and wondered how you were! I unpacked my journals and came across a Christmas one, I'm pretty sure it was you that got me started on it. December Daily maybe? Wondering what the new hobbies are... I'm headed over to see if your channel is still going.... I'm sure caring for your parents is a lot but I wouldn't trade looking after my mom for anything in the world and what I wouldn't give to still have her here! Will keep you in my prayers. Thanks for being here!
@@JeriBellini Yes, it's called a December Daily. I am working on my 2023 album now. As far as my new hobbies, the big ones are reading novels, cooking and baking from scratch - low carb. I also started flower and vegetable gardens. 2023 was only my second year gardening. I just love it. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it and then I get to eat the veggies!
I'm so excited you're returning!! I can't do patreon right now because I just lost my job but I'll be here watching and rooting you on. Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Oh my goodness! Y ou are soooooo not alone! After being my husbands full time caregiver for about 15 years my family and I decided he/we needed him to be in long term care. I've been lost for a purpose for over a year. My councelor just last week said Betty you need to find a new purpose. I quilt and hand embroider but was not finding as much joy as I used to . I have one unfinished totally hand sewn top I need to finish. I will use this method to finish this quilt for our daughter. I also have a very light weight flannel quilt top that I've put off completing because I coulding decided what to layer between. Thanks to your video I will do this method using my Christmas scraps with no batting. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Oui, I know exactly how you feel! I cared and had a close relationship with my mom for many many many years and when she passed, I was so lost! Keep busy, take walks, take a ride in your car to a shopping center, be around family and friends. Go someplace that will help heal your soul, whatever that looks like for you. For me, it was a beach, a library, a walk. And keep those hands moving! Sending you BIG hugs! 🩵
I remember you talking about all the hats your lovely Mother made and gave away. Such a wonderful giving thing! You are not alone in feeling the way you have been. It is a real struggle. I am 76 and feel so similar on some days and weeks. I am looking forward to see what is to come. Take care!
I know exactly where you are in life - me too. You are a lovely person - we can only do what we do with the time God has given us - but I think the trick is we have to enjoy it. If we’re not enjoying it don’t do it move on to the next project - God Bless you❤️
I'm really glad you're back. I wasn't a follower of yours way back when, because my creative interests lay elsewhere at the time, but I've decided to follow you now. The first of your videos that I watched was Jan 4th, 2024. It sounded like we are in a similar stage of our life's journey. I thought it would be a good idea to hang out with you to be reminded that I'm not alone. I recently became windowed. Though our circumstances are different, some of our feelings and questions are similar. I look forward to watching more of your videos to learn how you're dealing with 67 being the new 47. Ha Ha!
Glad you are going to hang around awhile, I hope you stay long term! Thank you for taking the time to comment so I know you are here. I am sorry for your recent loss, it's not easy losing anyone but a spouse has to be hard. Sending you big hugs, 💜💜💜
Yes Lynda! It was called My Father's Beads, named after my dad who had passed away and left me some money. It's what I started my shop with. I always wanted my own business and it was a dream come true!
Jeri I found you through the Kandi quilt video. Now I’m going through all your new videos. Delightful, refreshing, and fun. I look forward to hearing your stories, and your projects!!!
I am so happy to see you back. You look wonderful! I would love to see your new home. We are thinking of downsizing. I was in a funk before I saw your video. I have been ill for several years and tonight it just came to a head. They say when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. I was never good at tying knots and I don’t have the energy to hold on. It’s tough. Anna Maria Leader
Anna, I'm sorry to hear this, and I've been fiddling with one thing or the other for many years so I get it. I'll share as we go along on this journey. I've learned to just keep moving, most of the time, that is. Some days you have to give in and take a rest. There's always tomorrow. Sending healing hugs your way!
I am new to your channel as of a couple weeks ago and am so excited. Then tonight, I watched this. OMG Jeri, do you realize how much you are needed? Someone who is open, honest, raw and genuine is just such a breath of fresh air that I wanted to cry. I too am in the same situation, trying to find purpose, trying to age gracefully. I am now going to run to Patreon and see if I can find you because I want to see everything you do and hear everything you offer. Thanks so much. Putting out these videos can’t be easy. I appreciate you and am grateful for the time you give to us. ❤
Oh, I just saw that you joined! I am SO GRATEFUL for you! I love everyone here, you all have been so supportive of my latest adventure and leave the nicest comments. And I must tell you, the videos do require a LOT of time and energy but I so love making them and even more, I love reading the comments and getting feedback and being in community with everyone. I can't wait for the Patreon to grow, I love the idea of having a private community and getting to know everyone better! Big hugs and thank you again for being here! 🩷
Thanks so much for coming back! I can relate to everything you talked about regarding the aging. I love listening and interacting with like minded people…. Being real and being creative… that’s what it’s all about in my life. I look forward to all your new videos. Kathie from Mexico 👍🥰🐢
Oh I do appreciate your comment Kathie!!! And me too, this sense of community of like minds has been missing for a long time. My mind is whirling with ideas now.
Welcome back Jeri! I look forward to watching whatever you bring to us! I'm a boomer too. Just retired a year ago & am just getting to the "what am I gonna do today" stage. TY
Welcome, if you want a REAL adventure, LOL, check out my Patreon, link below... I am just starting but I have a lot of ideas planned for us over there. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Oh I'm so sorry, I feel your pain and I'm so glad you shared here.... Hang in there and see if our community can help you in some way. Sending healing hugs right this minute! ❤️
Hi Jeri! So glad to see you back on RUclips!! I’m looking forward to seeing your new creative adventures and hearing more about your Patreon community ❤🥰
Hi Susan, great to see you here! I'll be sharing a video about the Patreon hopefully within the next few weeks. The link is in the description box below if you want to take a peek. Thank you! 💓
There are few ways to support the artists who are so generous wit h their time and who share their talents. That's why I buy things from your shop when I am able. I hope that helps you and Brian. Not sure if I can afford a patreon membership we'll have to see but I do so appreciate your videos. Have a very Merry Christmas!
So great to see you again. I “dropped out” for awhile too. You look and sound terrific. Can’t wait to see what projects you bring our way through your videos.
I'm calling my recent drop off a "Sabbatical" with lots of time to think. See, a positive spin on it?! 🤣 Moving forward with who knows what around the corner!
I discovered your channel recently, but I so needed this video today since it is my 65th birthday. I have reinvented myself so many times in my life, but lately, I have felt exactly as you described. My congenital health issues, combined with the new ones they have caused as I age, have left me feeling defeated. I'm very excited to have found your community. I hope it will inspire me to reinvent myself once again and find a new purpose. 😊 Edited for typos.
I'm glad you're here! I post new videos each friday around 5pm EST. Tomorrow I will start a new project and I talk about some of the problems of aging and not being able to motivate. My Dots, helped me get moving again. If you are around, watch it. It might encourage you to start something new! sending hugs, 💛
Greetings from OZ 🇦🇺😎 Your video was just what I needed this morning 🤗🤗 It really helps to you know you are not alone with these feelings . I am happy you will be here to spur us all on xXxX THANK YOU XXXXXX 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Hello! Good to see you and make sure you watch my video that is coming out at 5:00pm EST (45 minutes from now). You might like that one even better. "I Struggle, Do YOU?" Thank you! 🩷
I'm so glad you like the idea! I'm beyond excited at this point especially hearing from so many people. I tell you, this has been the best Christmas ever just knowing there are so many out there thinking the same things I am thinking!
Hi Jeri. I watched you back when your channel was recycled parts for art and I enjoyed it, but I’m so looking forward to the new focus of your channel as I too have had many struggles with the whole idea of aging and “purposefullness “. Bless your heart ♥️
Oh gosh, I've hit a nerve with this as I thought I might. It's something that has been bothering me for a long while. Let's age "gratefully" shall we? We can do it together! Thanks for being here! 🩷
Oh Jeri, I fell apon your video as I was pointed to Kawandi . I too am getting older and as my husband and I have no children I truely have felt I have no purpose. My Mom is in her nineties and I am her primary caregiver. I look forward to following you and finding my purpose.
You are blessed to still have your mom, treasure this time with her. At the moment this is your purpose. Create when you can and let me know what you’re doing. 🩷
I soooo enjoyed this recent video! Aging! What a great challenge to focus on. Looking forward to taking this journey with you. And btw you made me laugh…one of the best gifts to hang onto as we age.See you again on the next round! 82 and still kicking!😂
Ahh, thanks Laraine... The thing is, I watch other creatives and they are so calm with a soft voice and I love them to pieces. I thought... I'm going to do my channel like that. NOPE! 🤣😂🤣 I just can't, I gotta be me, goofy and quirky to the max. Sending love and hugs.
Oh my gosh you are bumping around in my brain right now! When Covid happened I had to shut down my photography studio. It was like I accidentally retired. At the same time my mother and sister passed away. Life just seemed … I don’t know… futile? My husband and kids just couldn’t understand my mindset. So I’ve been bumping around for the last few years trying to figure this phase of life out. Oh and did I mention I turned 60? I could relate to everything you said! Please keep posting.
Another great thing you said... Bumping around. You KNOW I'm writing this down to use in future videos! Stick around girl, we'll have some fun and joy will surface again. 🩷 And 60 according to ME is the new 40!
Just found you💕excited for your channel. I was looking for a channel that does videos that keep me in my youth. I’m 30 and I wanna stay young and others creativity helps.
I need motivation. Husband divorced me kast year. Ive been devastated. Trying to find purpose to keep going. Just turned 68 in August. Not ready to give up yet but struggling with depression
We are sista's with other mistas! When is your birthday? I'm August 18 and turned 68 as well! Stick around, hopefully I (we) can motivate you, if nothing else I'll make you giggle and you will know you are loved along the way. But seriously, I'm sending out a big circle of love to you this very moment. ❤️
I have felt the same way. It's a hard place to be in. We miss our children being small, I miss being a young mom. I understand running out of time. Forgetting what we were going to say etc. I am so glad you are going to do this. There are alot of us having the same feelings. 😊 I too am going to start a you tube as well, I just need to push myself, and just start.

So glad to see you again. I really missed just your chatty self. You and Shannon Green. Now maybe she will come back regularly too.
Hi Dawn, Life has its ups and downs, ins and outs. Maybe Shannon will make an appearance again too! Thanks for being here!
Looking forward to more videos! I didn't know you owned a bead store. I'd be broke if I did that because I would want all the beads lol.

Hi back at you, thanks for joining me and I appreciate you leaving a comment. Happy Holidays to you!
💕Thankyou for sharing ,it was lovely listening to you.
Thank you Amanda, I'm glad you're here!
I am looking forward to your upcoming videos. I too am feeling the purposelessness and am wanting to figure out this older life . Thank you
Oh Cynthia, I hope I can spread a little joy and together we can figure it all out!
@@JeriBellini Thank you. I needed that hug so much!
I went back to school for a year at 66, retired at 67 and have not stopped since. You have been missing so much, Jeri.
Oh that sounds like fun, do tell what you went back to school for. I'm so glad I am giving this another go round!

TY
Exciting Stuff! Congratulations! Maybe I can give you a few things to think about before you hit the comfy chair! heee hee ❤️

Thank you! 💓
We are in our last season called WINTER. I read a book on the 4 seasons of life and it really helped me process and prepare for WINTER.
I just read a book called Wintering, I will look for the one you mention. I believe I've heard of it... sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Aging right along with you Jeri! Looking forward to sharing time and joy together. 😊
The Joy pops up when you least expect it, so keep those eyes open! And Cynthia, thanks for checking out my shop and making a purchase recently. ❤️
There are few ways to support the artists who are so generous wit
h their time and who share their talents.
🤣 Moving forward with who knows what around the corner!
this sounds like a fun channel. thanks for the intro. hope to hear more
Oh thank you! I try to have fun every day, Life is short! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Looking forward to the coming year with you. Happy holidays.
Hey Barbara, it's kinda nice that I'm starting off the new year like this, a happy accident. Happy Holidays!
Edited for typos.
Thank you!
I’m looking forward to seeing your videos.❤
Oh that's GREAT! Thanks for being here! 💜
"I Struggle, Do YOU?"
Thank you! 🩷
Thank you. This sounds fabulous
Good to see you , my Grandpa is 100 and he still doing things not sure where he gets his get and go from
What a blessing! Brian says, Slow Down and Go Down! It's his keeping busy that keeps him going. Good to see you too!
@@JeriBellini You is the best way to go! I’ve enjoyed watching!❤️🎄
Starting a project is easy for me -- finishing them, well...
Yes, we have that on both sides, starting for some is difficult and finishing for sure can be a challenge! Thank you for being here!
Yeah Im gladIi found you again. You have been missed.
Ahhh, you're so sweet, I have missed being here, I love the community and I LOVE getting comments! 🩷 Thank you!
Have missed your wit and chat. Interested to see what you have coming up.
Hi Debbie, thank you so much!
Just found you💕excited for your channel. I was looking for a channel that does videos that keep me in my youth. I’m 30 and I wanna stay young and others creativity helps.
AWESOME! I'm so glad you're here! Stick around I have a LOT to share!
Very cool! What camera are you using? Or still your phone?
Good morning, this one is my phone too and I am sitting right next to it. What do you think?
@@JeriBellini looks great 😊
Brian needs to get you a vitamix for Christmas!
OMGosh! He did get me one! How did you know?!!! ❤️🤣
He used his typewriter and sent me a letter telling me that. -Dan
Hahahahaha I thought it might be you! @@gsxjinvxet
GOOD for you! Go ahead and start! Just do it! What will your niche be? Thanks for being here and leaving a comment, I appreciate it!
