    Man I wish I could have a setup like that. Especially with a vast selection of operating accessories (hours of play value) and huge collection of different trains that actually work! I would kill to have that.

    I have really enjoyed this series. I am currently altering one section of my layout and watching this has given me a LOT of ideas that will make my changes easier. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.

    Congratulations, Sean, on completing and testing the new layout track plan. All very successful for running trains on the entire layout except for the two that can only run on the lower level. It must be a great relief to have this phase finished. It'll be fun to see the amusement park develope in the next phase.

    I see you have the coaster dynamics, tilt a whirl in red and blue. I pestered them for years to make that, and I actually have the first one they made in red and blue. Great to see another one!

    So cool Sean. Wow how you get so much versatility in a single track plan. Love the SD 70s

    You have a master"s touch in doing great track plans using every available inch and somehow including curves, y switches, regular switches, a good amount of straight, long runs, and space for modeling to tell some stories. Will we see your at this October York? My compliments. Gary

    Greeting Sean, I’m watching your RUclips at the moment of your testing of your Locos up the grades what I can see where your lift up section was I can’t see much on the RUclips watch you actually done in that area but what I can’t see it looks absolutely marvelous and I’ve been watching those climbing up the grades and it doesn’t seem to be any problem I didn’t notice a bit of wheel slip on your New York Hudson and the grey one just a little bit but it might’ve been just a figment of my imagination anyway, it looks great Sean all the best to you lad, Jeff Melbourne, Australia

      If you go to the playlists on my Main page, under "My O Gauge Renovation", you can find the other videos of where I removed the Lift Bridge and what those areas look like. Those were all in the first few episodes!

    IIRC pretty much all of MTH's Railking line is rated for O-31 curves, so it makes sense that the triplex could handle O-60, and look fantastic doing it too. I am very surprised that the turbine handled it so well, shame about the Zephyr and Acela though.

    Do you like Lionel fast track? I might have switch from tube track to Fast track.

      Plus, and minuses to every track system. It is easy to install, integrates with switches perfectly, allows the LCS system to integrate easily. Its main drawback is it creates more noise that the solid rail track systems. I like that everything integrates easily without a lot of work. Plus, the solid rail systems cost a lot more (switches, etc.).

    Fun video. I’ve noticed your not big into articulated steam. Looks like you just have one? I’m not a big fan of articulated steam. For me they just aren’t as beautiful as a Berkshire or Hudson . Very much enjoyed the video.

    • @seanstraindepot
      @seanstraindepot  Год назад +1

      I agree! I'm actually selling off all the Big Steam (except for Erie Triplex which I love). I like the medium stuff too. Pacific's, Hudson's, Mohawks, Berkshires, etc. I have decided not to go above an 8-wheel main driver set. The 8-wheel ones just look and run perfect on 072 curves.

    Sean do you know the % on the grade that goes around the curve up to the bridges around the amusement park?

    • @seanstraindepot
      @seanstraindepot  Год назад +1

      HAHA, I get that a lot, but I don't know. I just started at the Lift Bridge height and gradually work my way down when I built the supports. I will say any, modern engine with can motors, traction tires and speed control would never have an issue going up steeper grades.

    Hi Sean: I am trying to upgrade the software on my TIU do that it will recognize my WIU. I have all the cables. Purchased. WIU after my handheld remote broke. Can the DCS consumer downloader work with a MACBook pro? I can’t seem to open the file. Mike

      I don't have a MAC so not sure if it is compatible. Do you know someone with a Windows PC? Not sure where you are located, but if you are near DE I could help you too.
