It was inevitable unfortunately. They wanted to continue the main saga, which would've been impossible to do alligning with the pre-existing EU and I think we can all agree it was better to preserve the entire EU as a separate Legends universe, than scrap parts of it while leaving others. What they should have done tho, was continue Legends timeline alongside the current Canon.
Ehhh As a die-hard Legends-Superiority Apologist, there was a LOT of weird/bad/badweird stuff in Legends. Say what you will about the movies/shows, the comics has been mid to GREAT, I can't think of a story in the comics thats made me think, 'damn, that sucked.' Old Republic stories were perfection, I think there's a reason they've stayed away from that exact time period lol
Disney has stayed away from a lot of Old Republic. They probably understand it's popular and are trying to figure out how to approach it. Whether you like High Republic or not, it does occupy a part of the timeline that wasn't filled with anything in Legends.

You know, I feel like sometimes Star Wars has its numbers messed up. Either it's army's size or fleet Of ships or the criminal underworld or the number of Jedi or sith When you put into perspective the size of the galaxy planet's stars and the population The galaxy It really shouldn't be this way Even when you Look at different franchises like warhammer 40k And it's colossal scale It actually makes better sense In terms of Numbers and scales. Then, actual star wars
40k authors are really bad with numbers as well, "devastating losses" have been a couple of 100.000's while there are trillions of guardsmen (a million planets in the imperium, giving each a couple 100.000's each tithe), titan sizes are a complete mess and maybe most important thing to note: space marine forces are unbelievable, a 1000 chapters of each a maximum of 1000 Marines (unless you're black templars, hurhur) for A MILLION worlds. Meanwhile there multiple civilization ending threats to the imperium and they are still alive, space Marines are great and all but they can't hold a million planets even with trillions of guardsmen and a government more disfunctional than trying to go 60mph/90kmh with square wheels. Should still mention, yes I do think star wars also has some really weak numbers for the scale it should have, but mentioning Warhammer as a better example I believe isn't correct either.
It really makes me curious on how much credits the Jedi Order have? Given to how they need to pay their Non-Force-Sensitive staff and making sure that their operatives need when it comes to missions?

Darn, no Silmarillion-esque epicness and eldritch nonsense from the Cult and Supernatural Encounters novellas. The cosmic war between the Bedlam Spirits and their [REDACTED] vs. the Celestials+Kwa+Gree+possibly even the Ewoks is one thing to behold. Anyways, it's lore like this that makes one with common sense realize that, regardless of their flaws, the Republics and the Jedi Orders are absolute necessity... the galaxy may still be somewhat hellish, but at least it's not a Warhammer 40K dystopia if not a forever war between inveterate god-entities.
It's no wonder the Galaxy became so horriable, during the time of the Empire, when both these organizations were no more. They may not have always done their jobs well, but they did try to do their jobs of helping the people and the Galaxy, unlike the Empire.
What's with the ridiculous "AI" artwork interpretation of The New Jedi Order as seen in Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy at 7:12? I'm not crazy right? Am I the only one seeing that?
windu should've been the master at arms/battle/blademaster but NEVER should've been the master of the order....obviously my own opinion...another opinion.... skywalker had beyond earned the rank of master by the time he was refused the rank.
